Lord. These people crying for the Syndey story to be over would never have survived through Mike Horton's paternity let alone the obscene amount of time it took Bill & Laura to get married once they first became involved.

Totally different LOL. Back then there was better writing and better acting. I defenitely wouldn't have been able to handle a 7-year story of EJ/Sami/Rafe.

"These people?"

You mean all of us? LoL

Stories told slowly are fine as long as the stories are interesting and entertaining. This one isn't. Not to me.

Was the writing this bad? Was one of the actors Alison Sweeney? I don't mind stories taking forever to play out, but this story just sucks.

I know, I chuckle every time I see those comments! I loved the Bill/Laura/Mickey/Michael story when I watched it but I wonder if I would have the patience for it myself now. But, back then, I don't remember expecting a particular story to reach a conclusion. I just was used to the stories continuing on and on. I thought that was how it was supposed to be.

Julie: "Brady's and Horton's - these are auspicious matches!"
Hope: "Sometimes."

Not sure about Steph and Nathan's making out in front of their family members after the fact...that was weird. I wouldn't make out in front of my aunt like that. Looks like Hope didn't like it either, with the turning away LOL (though, I think she was just depressed about the lovey doveyness).

Good point! That story had Bill Bell for the writer & Susan Flannery as the leading lady!

LOL I'm just shuddering at the thought of a 7-year long epic triangle of EJ/Sami/Rafe. That would have been SOOOOO BORING!

Speaking of Stephanie.... What in the HELL was she wearing today? My eyes may have been fooling me but that looked like some shit from the 80's.

It was. DJ Tanner wore it on Full House.

This babyswitch SL was good, it was the major SL and carried DAYS to #3 and the other SLs picked up and DAYS got its groove. It happened because the writers/TPTB took real care to craft it into one that was compelling.

However, now its in a stall patten and its frustrating because none of the actors are painted as rootable. Maybe they arent supposed to be? If Sami's the "rootable" one- thats not coming across.

As for CC back in the 90s DAYS, I remember her hair pulled back in a French braid a lot. I thought it looked nice and do think DAYS can do a lot better- but appreciate the flat iron to her hair!

I suppose I can see the point. EJ/Sami/Rafe is definitely no Bill/Laura/Mickey and Alison Sweeney sure as hell ain't no Susan Flannery. Oddly, I just realized that Flannery never ever got to play the full reveal of Mike's paternity. She left the show sometime in the middle of 1975 right after the show went to an hour and Mike didn't have the accident on Maggie's farm that brought the truth out (and Mickey's memory back) until later in the year. Susan Oliver got to play Mike's paternity coming out (after he'd been SORASed into an adult!)

Is there a single person out there that doesn't want the baby switch/Sydney kidnapping/whatever the hell it is, to be over? Because I know it's just making me angry and bored.

I agree. I loved JER's original run on DAYS, and his stories took years to reach their payoffs, but in the meantime, while waiting for said payoff, the storylines were never stale or boring. There was always something going on to keep the story from becoming static like this Sydney one is. I don't care if a storyline runs for six months or six years, just keep it interesting.

When Nicole was leading the s/l I loved it and didn't care if it ever ended. As soon as the ball was passed to Sami/Rafe/EJ it went down the tubes and I cannot wait to be put out of my misery.

After all... tomorrow is another day!

What the hell was Melanie wearing that was supposed to be a wedding gown at the K mansion?

It reminded me of some kind of antebellum undergarment that women had on beneath their actual dresses.

I thought it was very 80's looking too. When she came in wearing that and the big scarf, I thought she looked ridiculous.

I agree, aimees76. I really enjoyed the baby story when Nicole was the main focus. Now it is just getting boring. I hope it picks up again when Ari comes back.

That was just a baddd look all around. I'm all for throwback fashion, but unfortunately, that sweater needs to stay in the 80's where it belongs.

I didn't mind it up until they made EJ the Sydnapper. I knew they were going to do it, and it was such an obvious, boring choice. EJ's involvement took away the Anna excitement, as well. AS is also ruining this story for me with her OTT hysterics. Maybe if she busted them out once in a while - like when her baby is kidnapped, and not every single scenario she's ever been in - it would be easier to handle. Now on the other hand, if Kate was the Sydnapper mastermind...that would have been an interesting, yet unexpected, twist. Also, this story is hurting without Nicole...so they need to wrap it up.

Unless Sydney is really Nicole's baby, which, at this point, is a needed twist. Sami does NOT need 3 babies.

LOL, that certainly wasn't a wedding dress. I took a brief look, and it looked like a summer, cotton-y dress from Forever 21 or something.
