I guess I got a different vibe from Stephanie after I watched the show - there was definitely a moment with Philip when she walked past him, but it felt like an acknowledgment by the show that they had a history and had been engaged.

The rest of the time, Stephanie was looking at Melanie. It wasn't about Philip or unresolved feelings for him. In fact, I saw Stephanie give a little smile/smirk when no one objected to the wedding. If she was doubting at all whether or not she wanted Philip back, she would have told Melanie or Nathan the truth. Her being upset and looking at Melanie had to do with her heavy guilt over what she's done. She was really upset when she left Melanie's room - upset that Melanie and Nathan do have feelings for each other and if not for her actions they'd be together, and you can tell she feels guilty. But she's rationalizing it in her head, I'm sure.

I think the focus on her during the wedding had nothing to do with Philip and everything to do with Nathan. Seemed to me like they're setting up that triangle (quad?).

I know the actors hate it, but I do like when they have an event and you have so many characters in one place.

As far as Stephanie goes, I think it was all of that. When Melanie (I think) made the comment about Philip choosing her out of all the women in the world to be with, the camera panned to Stephanie. There was quick moment of maybe hurt or annoyance, followed by her quickly pasting that smile back on.

Does Nathan ride a motorcycle? Is that new? Hot.

lol i so did not get that....it's supposed to be winter time right?
i mean, it's all hot and all, but who would ride their motorcycle in the winter time? lol
i had to laugh when i saw him grab his helmet.
I thought of that when I saw Melanie's dress. It is off the shoulder and short with little sandals. Isn't it in the dead of winter? It looked like a summer picnic dress.

The irony of everything EJ says is just so blatant. Irony isn't even the right word, because he knows what he's saying isn't true. It makes it hard to listen to him. And he's making less and less sense.

Good point. I have been trying to figure out why I hate the EJ scenes so much since I usually enjoy him, and I think it is because of the laying it on thick with the guilt trip lies. It is hard to listen to him berate Sami and talk about his missing daughter and how distraught he is when he has the little girl at the house.
Hard to watch. Not making much sense either.

The first half of Monday's show is boring according to the Canadian recap. It all comes alive in the 2nd half. The first half sounds like a mess. It's all choppy and all over the place.
Spoiler: click to toggle

Melanie's wedding was very boring today. The whole episode was focused mainly on Melanie. I would have liked to have seen more Hope and Carly scenes.

Oh I totally agree!

The Melanie stuff was boring. I think this character is a child, so her being torn at the alter is absurd to me. Melanie getting married in the first place and to Phillip of all ppl is absurd to me.

They tried to treat this wedding like all the other Days weddings, but you can't. How can a viewer make an emotional investment in Melanie's relationships when they come off as crushes instead of love. I never believed she ever loved Nathan or Phillip.

What would have made this work for me is if Melanie woke the hell up, grew up and said ummmm NO, I am not getting married today. This is all wrong...

I think of how much more respect I would have had for the character if she'd done that. Too bad she didn't.

Daniel/Chloe = GAG. Everytime they're on-screen together, I have to fight the urge to puke. Fortunately, I think we might actually be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel where this gruesome twosome is concerned.

E.J./Sami/Rafe....get on with it, please. I'm just counting down the days until Nicole gets back, because now that the only worthwhile thing about this storyline is off-screen, it's totally worthless to me. Same damn thing, day in and day out.

Hell must have frozen over, because Stephanie actually got marginally more interesting when she kept Melanie's letter from Nathan and then lied about it.

I'm already liking the new Will much more than his predecessors. Finally, someone who can actually act!

The wedding was blah, but I enjoyed seeing so many characters together at once.

Crystal Chappell was great in her confrontation scenes with Vivian on Thursday/Friday. I liked how Hope basically figured out Vivian's entire plot. Guess she's currently in possession of the Salem brain. Gus pushing the crates onto Hope and Carly was so cheesy. I'm glad Carly did as much as she could to help Hope before she left to save Melanie (though I'm sure her detractors will still say she didn't do enough).

I'm actually really looking forward to next week.

I was bored with the wedding. I just hated all the drama surrounding Melanie. Phillip is better off without her. I hate he is stuck with that idiot and that she is being a bitch by leading him on, when the bitch is pining after Nathan.

I did like that Justin walked Maggie down the aisle. That was sweet. :)

I have to admit that Stefano and Kate were kind of entertaining.

CC and KA were pretty good in those Carly/Hope/Vivian scenes.

Gus is an idiot. Vivian just annoys me. I just can't take her seriously.

EJ/Sami/Rafe were so out of place in yesterday's show.

The only bright spot for me was getting three straight days of Justin. :)

I hate that we won't be seeing Lucas much longer. :(

....Sami to be bouncing around so bubbly. Has she forgotten that her daughter has been kidnapped by some lunatic who has probably killed her at this point? I don't care how happy she is that she and Rafe are back together, and I don't care how much faith she has that Rafe will bring Sydney home. No mother of a missing child should be acting this damn perky.
Sami knew Sydney as her daughter for a grand total of 12 hours, so it's hardly shocking that she would easily re-focus her energies and spirits on landing a man. After all, Rafael is the first man she has ever bagged without scheming and manipulation and trickery. It's her dream come true. For some crazy reason, he actually wants her.

Of course, he really doesn't want her. They have virtually nothing in common other than the babies (Grace and Sydney). He is just in "rescue" mode.

What happened to Melanie? Did she pass out, faint? Melanie has me annoyed but I did think it was pretty the way she fell on the bed with her leg bent on it.

Stephanie has been interesting to watch during this whole wedding. Steph and Phil spent some time looking at one another so I gather that's suppose to be them longing for one another. So far Phillip looks like he's forgotten about her and Stephanie just looks jealous and upset on prinipal of feeling Melanie wronged her, not so much that Steph still has feelings for Phil.

Liked that Hope was the almost hero for Carly.

Just when I think Danloe couldn't be any more nauseating, they throw in a pregancy for them to googoogaga over. Even a part they are annoying. You have Dan proding Nathan to go after Mel, then you have Chloe telling him it's too late.

Chloe looked like she had PURPLE hair.

Her hair is so weird. On top it looks super dark and shiny, almost purple, but the ends are more pale and less plastic looking. It's almost like she's wearing a fake hair piece on top of her real hair, LoL. Sort of a female toupee.

I don't understand why the hairstyling on this show is so awful. I don't care how bad the budget is -- it can't be that damn expensive to run a fucking hair brush through someone's nappy knots or at least pull it back into an up 'do every once in a while.

I think they or Nadia have extensions in chloe's hair. They've gone overboard with dying her hair, I guess to accentuate her blue eyes but they need the girl to just look natural every so often. Everytime I see her, I think what a shame it is to overdo such a pretty woman. The other day I saw a pic on the net of Nadia at some event, nonsoap posters were really harsh about their comments on Nadia's appearance. While I still think she's really pretty, I do have to agree that they/she is doing too much with her boobs squeezed up to her chin, the copious amounts of eyelashes.

Overall, I really don't understand what is up with the hair people on this show.

LOL Kenny! Maybe since they are on such a tight schedule they dont have much time for hair. Has anyone on this managed to have decent hair consistently?..... Nope. Shuddering at the memories of EJ's hair last summer.

Where the fuck does Vivian hire these assistant people from?! Does Gus have a life?

And LOL to this whole "comb" nonsense. It's actually really amusing. Typical campy-stupid soap. Especially when Viv walks in on Stephanie holding it - WTF!?

Oh, and Kate looks smoking hot in Weds. ep. I'm impressed - thought she was heading into bad plastic surgery and over-the-hill category for good. Not that I condone the plastic surgery, but her body is bangin' in this outfit! I hope I look like this at 50-something, hahaha.

And speaking of hot gone wrong - JKJ's hair is horrible. He's ridiculously cute, but the grease money look needs to go. It's starting to REALLY bother me.
