After all... tomorrow is another day!

That bobsled track is nuts! I think like at least a quarter of the drivers today wrecked and some decided they wouldn't even go down because they don't trust it. It's not like it was only inexperienced drivers wrecking either, but many of the top drivers in the world. That's not normal.

Whatever, cheering fans ... how dare they.

No one lost, both went into it guaranteed a silver medal and both teams are winners. Same for the Hockey sunday, and tomorrow's mens curling and team persuit speed skating.

Watching the replays of the speed skating. GOOOOOO Canada! So happy the Hemelin brothers got the medals they'd been working so hard for! Francois-Louis Trembley getting bronze was great too with his recovery. CTV's coverage was a bit confusing, cause they didnt show Trembley or the Korean go across the finish. If I understood the announcer correctly, it sounded like Trembley finished where the Korean didnt. I think that deserves the props for Silver, but I guess they went on what they thought would happen had Ohno not been there. IMO, awarding medals based on hypotheticals is shifty. Trembley could have passed the Korean had things played out without Ohno's interference, speed skating can change at a moments notice.

and LOL at the crowd. SOmetimes their reactions are just priceless. Particularly the american woman cheering Ohno on i the 500m with an upside down USA flag. hehe.

Well, I do think that if Canada loses in Hockey they wil be devastated because they hyped them up so much. It's not going to be such a underdog loss because they are all basically NHL players, but the emotions of it being Canada's sport will be hard to swallow.

Thankfully NBC is showing it live!LOL

I had the same argument with someone last night as we watched the Slovak game. We dont lose. But then again .... Im not a hockey fan other than these games here, so Im not as emotionally invested.

Honestly, I'll be surprised if we win gold. We didnt win when we faced them already once, and they're a powerhouse these games.

I guess they dont really have the time to spare anymore, but I'm surprised these snowboard quals and mens slolum skiing is going on with all the fog right now on Cyprus. You can barely see whats going on through the cameras.

I only watched a bit but I didn't see anything horrible. The crowd cheered for Canada but that was expected since the olympics are in Canada lol. It would of been the same had the game been in Sweden and the crowd cheered for Sweden. But maybe I missed something.

I was happy for the Sweden skip to get redemption in the end. It seemed like the loudness of the crowd really got to her mid-match but at the end she made the awesome shots that Crystal Bernard didn't.

And I don't think anyone expects Canada to not cheer their country, but as a viewer without any stake in who won or lost it seemed like the Canadian crowd intentionally got loud to try to screw up the other teams and then quiet to help their side. I know the same thing happens in other sports like American football games for example with home crowds, but there's a huge difference between football and curling IMO and I think the general expectation at curling matches is that people might behave more like at a golf match where you don't yell and shout before the shot so as not to mess up anybody's concentration.

Wow. Big events back to back for Canada. Looks like they will have most golds at the games. Congratulations. I still hope the USA can beat Canada for bobsled and hockey though. ;)

Awesome day for Canada. 2 golds within 5 minutes of each other. Anderson was awesome in his final snowboard run, starting 0.76 of a second behind the Austrian and overtaking him in the end!

And it was nice to see Italy get their first gold for the skiing event, or first in ages - i forget which.

Italy used to dominate with that hottie Alberto Tomba but I think they probably haven't had much success since he retired.
