Wait a minute... did I just hear them say FIRST PLACE? For the pair that busted their ass all over the ice?!
Yep First Place as of now and they will be leaving with at least one of the medals. I thought they sucked ass myself.
They were terrible. How on earth did they get first place for skating on their asses?!

There is something with the scoring where you get higher markers because you are doing more difficult elements. So you can fall on your ass but get more points than someone else because you were trying something harder.

The older, married Chinese (who were the favorites) won gold, the Chinese pair who placed 4th last Olympics placed 2nd, the Russians were 3rd (1st time in decades the Russians didn't win).

Summer Olympics are more entertaining. I like things with tricks. Winter doesn't have much of that. That said, watch the figure skating tonight. I miss Jamie Salé and David Pelletier!
What? No way! What about Hockey?!?!

I don't know, I like both! I would pick Winter Olympics because of Hockey, but I think, overall, I like more of the Summer events individually...
I'm not a huge sports fan in real life, why would I be for the Olympics. Like I said all the winter shit are jumps and races. BORING!!!

I wish some Tanya Harding shit would go. Come on controversy!!!
I agree, the races, can be boring - but Olympic Hockey is just so exciting. I can't WAIT until Thursday's Canada mens game! The crowd, the energy, everything is going to be insane!

Went to tonight's medal ceremony - awesome to see Canada get our first gold at home! :D

Curling has a cult following even in the US. I don't mind it. I'm hoping they decide to change it too 8 ends.

Seriously! Johnny Weir was robbed!

Everyone else is boring me to tears. And their costumes suck too! Even if Johnny's outfit was sparkly and had pink tassels or whatever at least it looked like a skating costume and not something for Halloween like the overall and skeleton weirdos.

I happen to have this on .... god knows why cause I hate figure skating, but yeah - that Weir thing confirmed everything about why I hate this corrupt "sport". Shitty people making mistakes take medals over perfect programs? ROFL. Why do people even compete in this shit when Russia has the gold bought and paid for every game?

Fuck I hate curling!

Today was the first day that I didnt end up watching much of the games. The Alpine Skiing as near as I can tell didnt happen - or it didnt get televised here when i was looking. I know it was weather delayed earlier. The rest of the day was figure skating repeats and curling .... GAG!

The Womens Snowboard Cross was great again. GOOOOOOOOOO Canada! And apparently we won 8-0 in the mens hockey. But I'll check that stuff out once it gets near the end of the 7 games.

I wound up watching curling earlier today.

As far as I can tell it's a weird mix of shuffleboard, bowling, pool and chess. On ice.

I like it because it seems like it's the one Olympic sport that if I really tried I could do.
