Here's Part 1: http://www.welovesoaps.net/2010/02/peggy-mccay-is-hot-on-case-wls.html

This will cover her entire career but this first part talks a lot about her upcoming appearance on COLD CASE.

I love these in-depth interviews. No stone is left unturned regarding her long and storied career. If there ever was a soap opera museum, these interviews would belong there for everyone to access. Great work!

I love interviews like this, thanks for posting.

I had no clue Peggy had worked on so many different soaps/shows.

Why not put up all parts at the same time?

Thanks. The only hard part is transcribing! LOL We enjoy talking to the up and coming stars but really love talking to people with all this history, and in some cases it's not documented very well. Plus, I like to hear people's perspectives looking back on their careers. Peggy started on soaps almost 60 years ago. That's just so amazing to me.

Great interview. Does anyone have any guesses as to who was the woman that wanted McCay gone? I'm thinking it was someone behind the scenes and not an actress. Who was there in 1989 that it could be?

GET EM STEPH!!

Great interview.

Wonder who wanted her gone in 1989. I can't think of anyone.

I wonder what the deal was with the Emmy's? Her AND Joe were nominated and then there was another vote? Nothing was reported about that. I wonder why that happened. That sucks. Peggy deserved a nod and so did Joe.

As usual, great interview Roger.

Peggy M cCay is a favorite of mine. I miss her calm, solid presence as a cohesive element of DOOL. She should be the matriarch of the show now that FR has passed away and Mrs. Horton will soon really be gone as well.

I still see an old rerun from "The Andy Griffith Show" in which PM played Andy's high school sweetheart who returns for a HS Reunion. She was so young and yet so good.

Good interview. Was it the Emmys in 2008 or 2009 she talked about?

I think she meant last year. This was Damon's interview so I didn't speak to her directly.

No clue about who might have tried to get her fired. I do have some actresses that popped into my head from that time but nothing solid to go on.

TFP. That was a good interview. I wish they would try out Caroline and Victor to give PM some more screen time.

Wow, McCay taught Bob Woods? I love weird connections like that.
