I'm watching Parenthood and its OK but not great. Their ratings are poor. However, NBC just might renew it because their primetime lineup is a mess and they have lots of holes in the 10PM hour to fill next season.

Good for "V"! Anna was rocking some mighty sharp teeth last night! (and her egg fertilizer wasn't half bad, either. I would've eaten him, too, just not quite like that).

Uh huh!

I wanted to see Valerie eat the rat but her confusion over craving it was great. V is my far my favorite new show this year and I am glad it held the demo.

V is very entertaining, but still doesn't hold a candle to the original. Not nearly as scary IMO bc the original felt so real like it could really happen. Now it's just popcorn tv. Love it though! Glad it held up. I hope that it can sustain decent ratings. This is a show that was screwed by ABC's poor scheduling. It was leading the night and winning it's timeslot and maintaining it's ratings. Putting it on hiatus was so dumb!

I remember reading that a 2.5 rating in demos was now the minimun standard for 10pm shows, so if it holds at least that, we should get a second season

I think that their thinking was to make it (and FlashForward which simply turned into a highly convoluted mess and I quit watching) into event television like LOST became. Unfortunately, 4 episodes is not enough to make it an instant event. It was on and then off before a lot of people managed to hear any word of mouth and then there was hardly any promo in the intervening LONG months. I'm glad V did well (and I knew it would since it followed LOST, drawing a similar audience, and DWTS), but I think it was mismanaged in regards to scheduling and momentum.

ABC sucks at scheduling and momentum. CW also lost a lot of viewers by having their popular shows in reruns for months as well.

From ABC's press release

V marked ABC's strongest Adult 18-49 performance in the time period with a regularly scheduled program since 1/13/09. V also ranked #1 in Adults 18-34 and Adults 25-54
