Ilene Kristen is a wonderful actress. I agree that she's vastly underrated. I'm so glad OLTL has managed to keep her all of these years (hasn't she been on since 2001?) and keep her a vital part of the canvas. Roxy is what other soaps are lacking ... popular veterans in roles that can connect with you and drive minor storylines while still supporting and playing an active role in the younger generation. I think the problem with soaps is that you go from one age group (40s) to another (20s) with no real in-betweens. Soaps need to be multi-generational. We need age ranges in the 60s-50s, 40s-30s, 20s-teens. Why can't executives realize that when shows like Desperate Housewives, NCIS, CSI, House ... etc. all do well it's because they are LEAD by actors in their 40s! Primetime shows regularly actors in their 30s and 40s and the shows do well. That's where the audience is. |

Cold heartless bitch. Roxy is about the only character left to love these days. David's absence is glaring but never fear they have Bo's new son Super Rex present to save the day. Rachel should have been all over this story as well. So.much.hate Blair and Eli are cute and should work. But they'll go the way of Cris/Layla. |

+1. She could have had conflicted feelings on whether or not to support Schuyler since he is her good friend, but he also shot the man who is like a stepdad to her. It could have been so good. Valentini is such a dumbass. Edited by Eric83, Apr 9 2010, 07:59 AM.

I'm fairly new to OLTL but I already think Roxy is becoming one of my favorite characters, she's great. Ditto David. I love Starr and Cole. I do feel sorry for Markko, one minute Langston is helping him to stand up to his parents so they can be together, the next she's dropping her panties for that ass, Ford. Someone needs to wake up and smell the coffee, she's got a great guy in Markko already. Ford just seems kind of sleazy. Edited by EllEll09, Apr 9 2010, 09:31 AM.

Anyone really believe Langston will face any consequences for her actions? I do not. The only connection that girl has anymore is Starr, so why isn't she leaving instead of Rachael who is an important character to so many other people? Since they seem to want to dump characters, I nominate Langston, Ford and Kelly. |

I can almost bet once Langston dumps Marko... Ford will "dump" her! And IMO she deserves nothing less for dumping Marko for that douche! |

Sorry WWTBAM was a reference to Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, and how OLTL used that set for Who is Shane Morasco's father when Rex was in that coma. That's why Brody shot him just so they could use Ty Treadway for a couple of days and that set. (I'm kidding, sorta...) I do think Brody should have the opinion that one can get better from having a mental illness. Soaps used to be multi-generational with the many of the leads being the 40-something range like in the early 90s. They have totally gone away from that in the whole "must get young viewers" and the we need to save money spiels. |

I just don't get where they get the idea that all young people like watching the younger people. Even back when I was a teen I liked the older people, better then the teens. Then again that is just me lol. :P |

Very subtle OLTL! Rex: "I wouldn't make a good Buchanan!" Well, that pretty much ensures he will be a Buchanan in some for or another :( |

Lord in heaven, I'm finally caught up and current. I'm patiently biding my time until someone refers to Langston as a skanky whore onscreen (because, IMO, she is). What Starr needs to do is pull a sneaky Manning and go "accidentally" clue Aunt Dorian in about Lang's extracurricular activities. Hell, if I'd been Starr, I would've threatened Ford with going to the dean about his dalliances. Newsflash: Rex Balsom is still a douche bag. If he hadn't gone busting into the cabin like a wannabe Dudley Doright and tried to beat the crap out of Schuyler (after Gigi had almost completely talked him down), Schuyler wouldn't have gotten wound back up again or tried to shoot him. The only reason Bo was shot was Rex's doucheyness! Can someone please put Jessica back into a coma? Anyone? Beuller? Words can't express how much I love Ilene Kristen. She can go from slapstick drunken comedy one minute and then absolutely break your heart. The Roxie/Schuyler scenes were the highlight of the week. And if there is a patented textbook case of "temporary insanity", it was Schuyler's behavior and actions. I have no doubt that Tea (with an eval by Marty) could've gotten him off. And I think Gigi (and Roxie) would've testified in his behalf (putting them at odds with Rex). There were a lot of different places where this could've gone. |

ITA. Dorian should be involved in this storyline, instead of sniffing around Kelly's ass telling her how great she is. |

One of the biggest problems with this show is the failure to show, to recognize, and involve the important relationships and dynamics of each character. Even when the main story was faltering, a Marland or Bell still maintained the nuanced relationship of characters. RC uses relationships as plot points, not integral to a story. Dorian and Langston as family plays as a plot point. I see no affection from this girl to the woman who adores her. I have no expectations that Dorian will have anything to do with this Ford-Langston playboy fantasy story. I do not want her to bother with that thoughtless and stupid girl. They bring back David to mug and crawl around in order to drive Kim out of town, but do not bother with scenes for him when Bo is shot. David, who just several months ago was proclaiming Dorian as his soul mate, does not bother to go see Dorian after her sister has died and all the crap she went through because of Mitch. Really? Kevin returned and his scenes are with cold-fish Kelly and back in November his scenes are with Bo and Nora, not with Viki and Natalie who were mourning Jared. The Cramer women return and it amounts to a bad sitcom of bad news. No scenes with Dorian and her daughters. No scenes with Cassie and Dorian save a ten second blurb. Kelly is back and has shared more scenes with Todd than her aunt. Isolated characters and horrible stories. This show makes it easy to walk away. |

I totally agree. And I'm still trying to figure out why the show thinks we even care anymore. LOL. I am not one of those people who is all that interested in Teen angst. To me it's boring and repetitive. And even when I was a teen (Which is when I started watching) I still wasn't intested in Teens and their ridiculous problems. Mainly because it's always the same thing-- it revolves around sex or drugs. LOL. . |

Bo & Nora = On another note I hate when Jessica walks now, she purposely bounces and makes her hair swing back and forth like a twitty 12 year old! |

What a shitty ending for Kish. I find I hate more characters than I love. Why do they constantly push Rex and Gigi? They have so little to recommend them. Ford? I do not understand the attraction beyond his abs and even that is not enough to drop your pants at the drop of a hat. Jessica is a mess and shame on Marty and her parents for not sticking her in an asylum far away until she returns with spunk and intelligence. I completely and totally hate Langston. Not because she wants to explore her sexuality or try new relationships, but because she has no heart, no soul. She has become such a narcissistic bore. Her tears annoy me. Where are her tears for her mother when Dorian lost her sister or went through hell with Mitch? Where are her tears for Markko who gave up a scholarship at UCLA and separated from his parents for her? Now she will keep him because she wants her cake and to eat it too. Sadly, it will not surprise me if somehow these foolish writers decide to paint her as a victim with little to no consequences. They have trashed a character with potential for what? A bucket, abs and some water. Loved Dorian, Bo, and Nora. No matter the ensemble or the crappy material RS is a dream. Love her. It is about time Dorian have someone, anyone give a damn about her. Bring back Ray Montez. He knows of nasty daughters. |

^ I gotta agree with ya. Really the only reason I watch this show is Bo, Nora, Viki, Clint and Dorian! Which is sad because it was but a few months ago that I loved the whole show :shame: |

It had been a wonderful evening and what I needed now, to give it the perfect ending, was a little of the Ludwig Van.

^Yup. Bo+Nora=awesome! They are the only reason I continue watching. I'd be okay with Bo getting shot every week if it meant more Bo&Nora. LOL! :P I loved the Kish SL, but I hate the quick write-off. I'm going to miss them terribly. The teen SL's are frustrating and boring. I only sit through them because I love this soap as a whole. But let me tell you, I'm ALWAYS fighting the urge to FF them all. Langston, Ford, Starr, Cole, Hannah, Dani, Matthew, Destiny...they all suck! :moon: Rex&Gigi...Eh! Same with Eli&Blair...I enjoyed TnT (Todd&Tea) while they lasted, but I don't know if I'd welcome a reunion. Todd has been a royal prick to Tea. Natalie/John/Marty annoy me to no end. Speaking of annoying, I fucking despise Jessica. I want her off my screen. :flipoff: Bo&Rex...YAY! :D I'm not to eager for it to be written that they are related or anything, but I truly enjoy they way these two interact. |
