About the Daylight Savings thing- what about total viewership in the 8pm hour, compared across the week? I'd still bet it's lower overall than it was before DST was so early. Just on some days there are fewer shows divvying up the viewers- NBC was kinda dead at that time, but on Tuesday didn't it have Biggest Loser?

I guess I still believe it has an impact, if for no other reason that it's annoying to watch tv when there's all kinds of light from outside shining through the windows.

I'm also glad TVD is holding a steady audience. And defeating NBC.

This is great for TVD, I just wish Supernatural did that well. It is such an unappreciated show.

Oh, watched The Marriage Ref and that show is freakin hilarious!

It seems Tuesday and Wednesday, based on what I've read, are the days hit the hardest by the DST thing. Just check out these numbers from this past Tuesday ( bolded the shows that run for two hours because that shows the biggest impact of this trend) to see how the 8:00 hour seems to be suffering as a result of this trend:

Time Net Show 18-49 Rating/Sh Viewers (Millions)

8:00 FOX American Idol 6.4/19 17.93
CBS NCIS 3.4/10 16.02
NBC The Biggest Loser 2.6/8 6.81
ABC Dancing With the Stars Results 2.4/7 12.30
CW 90210 0.8/2 1.55

9:00 FOX American Idol 7.8/20 22.87
ABC Lost 3.8/10 9.45
NBC The Biggest Loser 3.3/8 8.34
CBS NCIS: LA 2.9/8 13.65
CW Melrose Place 0.5/1 1.05
