So Ragan knows that Matt was trying to get him nominated?

Why is Matt still protecting the brigade? Why doesn't he out them? He has nothing to lose at this point. He can't REALLY think he has Hayden and Lane's votes, can he?

Maybe he's saving that for his eviction speech? But I agree, there's no reason in the world why he shouldn't expose them now. Either way, he's sunk.

Because he doesnt know they've turned on him.

Britney forbade Ragan from telling him this, and now that he knows Matt was trying to get him out he's not inclined to give a damn.

From Jokers...
Quote:

Ragan tells Matt he knows Matt was throwing him under the bus. Matt asks who said that, Ragan wont tell him.

Ragan is upset because he risked his game by campaigning for Matt, and Matt didn't appreciate it. Matt says 'I know, it came out wrong.'

Matt apologizing to Ragan. Saying he didn't mean to throw Ragan under the bus, he was just trying to be defensive and trying to stay in the game.

MATT: "You don't seem like the regular Ragan anymore. I don't want you to go down with me. If you need to distance yourself... fuck! Shit man. I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to get you put on the block. I was playing the game defensively. Do you think it would help if I talked to Britney about this?"

RAGAN: "No, I'm glad it happened because it has opened up my eyes, that this IS a game. I needed to be reminded."

Ragan says he has increased the target on his back the last few weeks in order to help Matt, and he doesn't like his position in the house now.

RAGAN: "I risked myself to campaign for you."

MATT: "I was just trying to save myself."

RAGAN: "How did discussion of you staying off the block turn to discussion about ME going on the block?"

MATT: "I didn't mean to throw you under the bus. Britney was asking about me and you being a pair, so..."

RAGAN: "But I risked myself to campaign for you."

Matt says he didn't realize what he said sounded bad until now, until it was explained to him.

Ragan says he will know the truth when he sees the episodes.

MATT: "I don't want our time in here to be... I mean, I enjoyed our time together and I don't want anything to mess it up. I don't want you to not trust me. Oh man, it even sounds stupid to me saying it! I totally get where you're coming from..."

Ragan says he can't get upset anymore about his friends leaving the house. "It's not good for my game. I can't do it anymore. It just sucks because with the web of friendships and alliances in this house... if you leave, I'm gone too."

Ragan and Matt both agree that he (Matt) is going home this week.

RAGAN: "If you go home, I'm walking out the door right behind you. I think we'll be doing the Early Show together. I think the boys are working together. Lane is working with Britney and the boys are working with Brendon."

MATT: "Have you heard for sure that I'm going home?"

RAGAN: "You're going home."

MATT: "That's harsh! Do you know for a fact that I'm going home or is that just your intuition?"

RAGAN: "It's intuition, but you ARE gone."

The conversation continues...

I know Ragan has a right to be pissed at Matt....but I can't help but be annoyed by his scorned lover routine.

He brought it on himself by trusting Matt, and Matt brought this current predicament on himself by trusting the brigade. They're both idiots.

I'm convinced that Matt is trying to ruin Ragan's game.

Ragan has come close very close to the truth about the brigade but Matt keeps trying to deflect and put paranoia in his head about other people. The closer Ragan gets to the truth, the more Matt tries to lead him away from it. Right now, he's hinting that Ragan should go after Britney next week instead of Brendon and he's also telling him that Lane can be trusted. WTF?

I don't understand his game at all right now. He must really think he still has a chance to stay to be protecting the brigade like this. Why doesn't he just out them?

The only thing I can think is maybe he thinks if a Brigade person wins then a part of him has a hand in winning too if he was a member of the winning alliance?

Which would be pretty fucking lame and pathetic.

Or maybe it's just his ego and he thinks Ragan owes it to him to avenge him for some reason?

Because he still thinks they've been loyal to him. Lane, Enzo and Hayden have been blowing smoke up his ass all week about how much this sucks the Brigade's going down, trashing Britney for doing this to them, etc. In his mind they're an alliance in an impossible position because of Britney's HOH. He's been snowed.

And as much as he was trying to save himself at Ragan's expense, he's also layed groundwork with Lane to take Ragan in, and now he's trying to lay that same groundwork with Ragan.

He basically has no clue whats actually going on in this house.

Why is it when good players get hit by the stupid stick when they become HOH?

Why is Hayden not getting a penalty nomination for continuing to break things and why is Enzo not getting a penalty vote for continuing to sneak food while he's on slop?

Last night, Hayden broke a vase in the backyard by standing on it and Enzo snuck food out of his penguin suit and ate it by the hammock. Hayden received a warning that he's on "probation," but Enzo never got in trouble for sneaking food even though production told him weeks ago that he would receive a punishment if they caught him breaking the slop diet again.

Copied from Jokers...
Quote:

Ragan and Matt go to the Cabana Room.

Matt suggests that he should go to the boys and tell them certain things so they will keep Ragan in the game next week. Ragan says "NO! That would paint a huge target on my back."

Ragan tells Matt straight out that the boys want him (Matt) gone.

RAGAN: "I don't think you understand that it's the those three (Hayden/Lane/Enzo) that want you gone and I think you're in denial about it."

Matt says he isn't in denial.

Matt says he would rather fight a losing battle than not fight at all. Ragan tells Matt that he doesn't want to be involved, he doesn't want to be a part of it and he doesn't want his name mentioned because he doesn't want an even bigger target on his back.

Ragan tells Matt he's definitely going home. "It's a lock." Matt says he wants to remind the boys that he's a strong competitor and he can take Brendon out next week. Ragan says they don't want Brendon out anymore -- they want HIM (Matt) out.

RAGAN: "You're definitely going home."

MATT: "I think I can stay. Crazier things have happened in this house."

Ragan casually mentions that he's going to target Brendon next week if he wins HOH...
After his conversation with Ragan, Matt moved to the backyard and started throwing him under the bus to Lane.
Quote:

Matt is trying to convince Lane that he is still part of the Brigade and he's no longer close with Ragan. He says Ragan is different now. "Not the sappy emotional Ragan, but one with fire in his eyes."

Matt tells Lane that Ragan is now really crazy. He explains how Ragan does not trust Lane/Hayden/Enzo, and that his target is no longer Brendon. He says Ragan's new target is Lane/Hayden (not true)

Matt promises to keep Lane updated on everything else Ragan says.

So basically... Matt knows L/H/E are scared of Ragan so he's throwing him under the bus and offering to be a spy for the brigade so they'll keep him in the game.

Lame strategy.

He needs to out the brigade NOW.

What an idiot. I don't get his loyalty to the brigade when they are the ones that want his ass out! Throwing Ragan under the bus isn't going to help him at all.

I think I understand his strategy. It's just pretty dumb.

The worst part is that he's doing this behind Ragan's back after Ragan flat out told him not to mention his name to anyone because it will paint a bigger target on his back. Ragan already knows he thew him under the bus to Britney to try and get him on the block this week... can you imagine how pissed he'll be if he finds out about Matt's latest stunt?

Matt's going home regardless. All he's doing is pulling Ragan down with him.
