'Big Brother 12's' Annie wants to 'play a character each week'

By Andrea Reiher | July 8, 2010 11:11 AM ET

Meet Annie Whittington, one of the newest "Big Brother 12" contestants. She tells Zap2it that her plan is to fit in as best she can by playing a different character each week.

"I wanted to be on 'Big Brother,' it's just been a life-long dream of mine," Annie tells us. "It's just a game that I find really, really interesting ... the social experiemnt of it ... I think it just looks like a ton of fun."

Her favorite character of all time is Jeff from "Big Brother 11" for the way he "really protected Jordan." Annie found that "romantic to have him take care of her along the way."

Meatheads are her least favorite players, guys like Russell and Jess. "I think it's really unintelligent when you're screaming at somebody and it's one sentence over and over and over again, belittling them," says Annie.

She also assures us that she "may look like a girlie-girl," but she doesn't think like one and worries she'll clash with girls "who are really obsessed with their outer appearance."

And finally, what is her strategy going into the house? "Personally, when I make a plan and it doesn't follow through the way that I want it to, I get frustrated ... so instead of going in with a plan, I'm going to go in and lay low ... I really want to feel the people out and play a character each week and fit in as best I can."

'Big Brother 12's' Brendon will be 'nice and flirtatious' with the women

By Andrea Reiher | July 8, 2010 11:32 AM ET

Meet Brendon Villegas, the last "Big Brother 12" house guest in our series of interviews. He tells Zap2it that he's doing "Big Brother" as a fun activity before he spends five years committed to school and that his strategy is to get the girls on his side.

"I'm about to start my Ph.D right now ... the next five years I'm about to be committed to school so I thought this would be a great way to spend the summer before a big commitment," Brendon tells us, when asked why he wanted to be on "Big Brother."

So does he have a strategy going into the house?

"I'm going to kinda see how it goes ... The more I've watched, the more I've figured out you really can't have a strategy," Brendon observes. "Really I just want to go in, kinda get the girls on my side, be nice and flirtatious, get them to like me. For the guys, I don't want to seem as a threat, so I'm kind of downplaying my intellect ... and really kind of up play the fact that I am an athlete and a swim coach.

The "Big Brother 12" premiere is almost upon us! Who are your favorites? Watch the first episode Thursday, July 8 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

I love this. Watch this clip from tonight's episode. It's Julie revealing the saboteur twist to everyone.

And honestly, I think it's gonna be Andrew.

I'm watching them on the Superpass website, which is the only option at this point. The flash-based web feeds seem to be bogging everyone's computers down. Anytime you switch from camera to camera it bogs it down even more until Flash crashes altogether and you have to do a restart.

I haven't had the feeds up for very long because all they're showing right now is a welcome screen, but I can only imagine what kind of effect they'll have on my computer after I've had them open for several hours.

Oy.

I want a stand-alone player immediately.

I'm not getting the feeds (but will watch the Sho2 nightly feed) this year but why did they do away with the stand-alone player?

I think it's Matt. He didn't have the :o look on his face like everybody else.

T-Minus 90 minutes to showtime y'all!

Well, it's definitely a guy (I'm pretty sure, although I think Annie could work too) because Matt, Brendon and Andrew all had weird reactions towards it.

It's either Matt or Andrew, for sure.

This is annoying.

My computer operates at 3% CPU usage without the feeds on. As soon as I open the Superpass website and load the feeds, my CPU usage spikes to 55% or more -- higher on swings. When I close the feeds, it immediately drops back down to 3%.

What a resource hog.

I hope Blistering gets his/her standalone player working before tonight.

I just don't understand why they would switch to this new version of the feeds. Why fix what isn't broken? People have been flooding the Superpass Facebook page with complaints all day.
