Here's what will happen in the coming weeks...

1.) Unofficial "media" day. Several members of the media (print, television, internet) will move into the BB house for 12 hours. Video documenting their experience will later be released to help promote the new season.

2.) If Corner Office is still around, he/she will likely post at RealityBBQ leaking vague details about the new season within the next seven days.

3.) Pictures and videos from Media Day will be released after the new cast is sequestered, allowing us to see the new house for the first time.

4.) A house tour with Julie Chen and/or Allison Grodner will be posted on CBS.com. Photos of the new house will probably be posted the same day.

5.) Cast revealed about a week before the premiere.

6.) Information about the twist will also be revealed about a week before the premiere.

Janelle Joins The Team!

In what has to be a very popular move with all Big Brother fans, Janelle Pierzina has joined the Big Brother 12 team.

Big Brother 12 fever is reaching a crisis point as fans search out any tidbit of information or spoiler they can find containing details of this year’s highly anticipated CBS’ summer reality show. Details are starting to spill out, so TVGrapevine has a few for you!

RealPlayer will be offering a discount for the Big Brother feeds again this year. When you sign up for $29.99 you will receive access for free for the first 3 days and then your subscription continues for 3 months.

Alternatively, fans can opt for the monthly plan of $14.99 and they will still receive a one-time bonus of 3 free days. Fans can take advantage of this special price beginning June 17 and ending July 7. After July 7 the price returns to its regular $39.99 for 3 months.

RealPlayer has taken some of the work out of setting up your computer to watch the feeds if you choose. Fans with subscriptions for the feeds will now be able to simply sign onto Real site, log in, and watch the feeds directly on the web browser of their choice.

Feed watchers last year liked the Flashback option that allowed them to rewind the feeds and watch specific moments and events in the Big Brother house – Flashback will be available again this season.

Fans can also expect live events almost every day as RealPlayer’s Superpass will televise call-in shows and exclusive chats featuring BB9’s Chelsia and the newly wedded Janelle Pierzina, fan favorite from BB6 and BB7.

CBS should be unveiling the Big Brother house soon – decorated with this season’s beach theme. CBS morning show and BB host Julie Chen typically gives a tour of the house as promotion for the season revs up. Soon afterm journalists and bloggers will spend “media day” in the house as they get a feel for what a day in the BB house is like.

Finally, what you’re really waiting for… look for the release on the Big Brother 12 house guest info, bios and pictures in about 2 weeks – as soon as the house guests have been placed in sequester.

So, they're kinda sorta bringing back House Calls?

Fuck, just get Janie to host the whole damn show. I mean, I love the Chenbot and all, but having Janelle host the live episodes would kick ass...

No they made a much ghettoer show with Chelsia last year with a fat girl, call centre headsets, and a tarp as a backdrop.

I wish I could find that montage from BB4 that highlighted Jun's weight gain.

From CBS Tweet.

11 reporters are "Houseguest for a Day"...experiencing life inside the new Big Brother house. Game on! BB premieres July 8
So today was media day. We should be getting pictures/videos of the new house within the next 10 - 12 days. And information about the new cast after that. Can't wait! :)

Also, this was posted by a regular member at All About Big Brother.

I heard rumors about a very large cast ~ 20. Speculation about first major challenge will weed out the 20 to a normal number of 12-14. This might have some merit, as one of the Alison Grodner interview said something about first weeks being "grueling"....and I doubt she was talking about livefeed watchers LOL.

So they're doing the non-housemate thing from last year's BBUK.

Oh, I hope it doesn't start out at 20ish people. That's too much, even if they are weeded out quickly.

Not really. You make 14 of them have to earn their houseguest status through a series of tasks, or a viewer vote.

Media Day is June 30

That's when the big press announcements about Big Brother 12 hit, including reports from the 11 journalists who spend the day in the habitat.. they do practice comps, ceremonies, Diaries, etc so the tech crew can iron out the kinks, set up camera angles and so forth, and of course BB benefits from the stories they post

I don't know for sure, but I suspect it happened yesterday, June 18, and I'm making an educated guess that Matt Whitfield of Yahoo! Entertainment, Ben Mandelker of BSideBlog.com, and Andrea Reiher of Zap2it.com were among the participants. WeLoveBigBrother.com also had/will have a representative there, and chances are good at least one former hamster was there as well.

More news to follow as it comes along.

Live. Love. Laugh. ♥

20 people is a lot! That would make the first two-three weeks of the show useless for me. Not only would I not remember all those names, but I wouldn't be able to form opinions of many of them.

Maybe this will be the odd season I will be on the same page as many of you with favs! ;)

If they did it they likely wouldnt drag it out a month (thats a third of the running time of the show). At best it'd be a few days to a week for people to basically claw their way into being official houseguests.

Wow, maybe we will get our first tranny this season.

Transgender hopeful Jessica Dimon (pictured below with Ronnie) went to a BB12 casting call earlier this year and she just posted the following on her Facebook:
Quote:

"I am not sure what i can say..But what i will say is i almost made it on a tvshow. I was a simi finalest and i didnt make the final cut. Thats all i can say..Got the call today so pretty upset and broken.."
I don't think she would've made it this far in the casting process if they weren't seriously considering putting her (or another transgender person) on the show. Each year they look for certain "types," and Allison Grodner did say we'll see people with more diverse backgrounds than ever before on the show this year. Could this be the season that we finally get our tranny?

When BBUK did a non-housemate thing they had their housemates picked by early in the first week after the launch on the friday. Granted, there was only one housemate that didnt earn housemate status, but its basically still the same. Every few hours they did mini comps. Some earned status by answering the phone, one by shaving off her eyebrows and painting glasses on her face every day with a perminant marker, two by legally changing their names to Halfwit and Dogface, three by passing BB Boot Camp (where they had to walk on glass and other stuff), and the others by a vote from the public.

So you make a few people hang from something ridiculous for a few hours, others pass stupid memory tasks, others some embassing ones (like the what would you give up challenge they've done in the past), you could widdle down to 14 in a few days. AND we'd have the benefit of a truely randomized cast.

If she's chummy with Ronnie, can't say I'm disappointed she didn't make the cut.

I don't think she's chummy with Ronnie. He was at the Cincinnati casting call visiting with all the people who were trying out for the show. I don't think she knows him personally.
