One question: WHY was Charlotte Ramsay's name on Jill's birth certificate when it was little Tucker that she gave away??

Good question and we'll probably never get an answer the way this show is playing fast and loose! Jill never even mentioned Charlotte yesterday on the US episode while recounting the "revolving door" mothers!

It's like how they glossed over Amber and the psychic's role in Cane and Phillip's switcheroo.

Exactly! I remember reading the psychic would be back but happily she seems to be sticking to MONTELL!

Maria Bell likes her women weak, wishy-washy and indecisive. Look at how many of the female characters she's given personality transplants to accomplish that objective...

And Lauren and Jill being sisters, as I have said before, is BEYOND stupid. I wish they could have made Nikki and Jill sisters or Ashley and Jill sisters. Hell, I'd even have settled for her and Gloria being sisters, or her and Phyllis. Lauren and Jill have practically NO history, and they rarely even share scenes together!!!

Where's the freaking conflict?? And why should I give a flying fuck???? Maria needs to go back to creative writing class!! This "ish" doesn't make any "bleeping" sense, and is NOT interesting to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ditto, ditto, ditto!
So, will lauren and Jill now suddenly become best buds or bitter rivals?
NO, things will go on exactly as before, they'll pass each other's tables at the AC and nod.
Has Jill ever even been in Laurens "boutique"?
Their history together is less than zero and I can't see them suddenly making history.
Maybe they'll take a DNA test and find out Liz meant to say, Gloria, Nikki, Esther, anyone but Lauren.
I was thinking about it the other day, and Esther and Jill can't be sisters because their kids, Chloe and Billy, have a child together. They could have Jill and Ashley be sisters, but then they would have to dive back into history and reveal the LITTLE known fact that John Abbott wasn't Ashley's biological father. I don't think the show wants to reopen that can of worms, especially since John was Ashley's father in every way that counts.

Gloria and Jill would've been the PERFECT surprise. Just like having Esther or Nikki be Katherine's daughters would have been perfect. Maria Bell doesn't care about juicy stories that make sense, just contrived BS that makes people's heads hurt!!!!!!

True that having Esther as her sister would have caused some incest problems, but it would have been soooo much fun! :D
Nikki or Gloria would have been a much better choice, at least Jill has history with them and conflict.
I'm still holding out hope that Jill showed up at Lauren's door to talk to Mikey after finding out gloria is her sister. I know, fat chance, a girl can dream though.

After watching today's show with Jill & Lauren, I'm more convinced than ever that Lauren is not going to end up being her sister.
Now, go with me for a minute here...........
Jill said, that Liz said, that her birth mother said, that Neil Fenmore was the dad and that the birth mother ended her own life.
I'm thinking, that maybe, the birth mother was the town ho, and since she was poor, she wanted a rich husband/daddy, and tried to pin the baby on Lauren's future dad, Neil's family wasn't having any of it and sent her on her way, and MAYBE, the real dad was Tom Fisher's dad or Nikki's dad.
I bet, when they do a DNA test, they're not a match.

I'm a newer viewer to Y&R and have only watched for about 2 years. I had no knowledge of the Fosters or the importance Liz played in the past. However, in reading posts on message boards it seems as if she was a very important character who had a connection to the fans. Yet, there is no funeral or memorial for Liz. Snapper and Greg left today and it didn't sound like they were coming back. That is so wrong and a huge missed opportunity. Then again, Liz's death scene was only used to reveal the secret that Jill and Lauren are half sisters.

That's what I was wondering about (the part about her mom lying about who the father was). It's totally possible she could've been lying, or wrong; but if she was, I don't think it'd be cleared up quite so quickly. A DNA test would end the story in a matter of days.

I'd like to see this develop into a good story for Lauren.

I'm sorry. I'll never be able to buy that Jim Storm is Jess Walton's father. :drunk:

It really IS asinine! I was shocked that they showed actual pictures of him as Lauren went through the album! I find myself FFing through everything that ISN'T part of this story the past few days! I've never done that! I stopped to watch Jack with Red at the bar but when she had to ask about Sharon I FFed that as well! :drunk:

Yep, he played Lauren's dad! His character was engaged to Gina until Lauren dug up Gina's old cell-mate to come to town and reveal her criminal past! When Lauren was on B&B, Jim Storm was playing Bill Spencer Sr! They actually had a scene where Lauren tells Bill how much he resembles her late father, Neil Fenmore! And I never knew Jess was married to BD either!

The best part of today's episode was the montage set to music at the end! So much of this show is FF fodder these days!

I suppose that's better than muting the whole show.

I hope that Lauren and Jill aren't sisters. There seems to be no point to it. Tracey Bregman and Jess Walton are great actresses, but their scenes have no spark. I still say make Jill and Gloria sisters and let the feather boas, leopard prints and gaudy makeup fall where it may..................

They have never TRULY explored Gloria's parentage, have they??? This would be a good time to do so, and the writers can't seem to write anything decent for Jeffrey or Gloria either, other than babysitting.
