While watching NBC Stanley Cup Coverage, I noticed they were heavily promoting the LIVE coverage of the US Open PGA Golf Tournament NEXT WEEK (Thursday June 17 and Friday June 18). NBC plans to air two hours of golf live across all timezones from 3-5PM ET (2-4PM CT, 1-3PM MT, 12N-2PM PT, 9-11AM HT).
This won't affect the Eastern and Central timezones (although a few affiliates air DOOL later than the East Coast 1PM network feed). Mountain and Pacific Time Zones WILL be affected.
I just checked the listings and as of now, my West Coast NBC affiliate does not have DOOL on the schedule at all (although I imagine updated listings will appear next week - I'm betting the Rachael Ray reruns get zapped).
So check your listings (I use titantv.com) and plan accordingly.
Here are a few random cities with new airtimes:
St Louis 3AM/330AM (next day)
Denver 1235AM (next day)
Albuquerque 3AM (next day)
Palm Springs 11AM
San Francisco 11AM
San Diego 11AM
Las Vegas 11AM
Seattle -- No DOOL Listed
Chico -- No DOOL Listed

Also, I believe that on July 1 and 2, DOOL will be pre empted for the US OPEN.

July 1 and 2nd are pre-empted because of Wilmbelton.

||This is also a big reason why Days seems to suffer in the ratings in the summer. There are usually several sports preemptions in June and, on the off chance that rain interferes with the event, sometimes unscheduled preemptions occur and throw things out of whack. I wish the show didn't have to be interrupted and shifted around as much, especially this year. Of all the summer months, June is the one I feel the show has a chance of pulling a better number because people are still around with most kids still in school (only colleges are out) and there is more of a routine most of the time. Once school's out for everyone, the chances of the audience being as accessible dwindle so July and August are usually tougher.|
