Soap Opera Digest has learned exclusively that Lindsay Hartley has been let go as DAYS's Arianna Hernandez. The actress, who took over the role in August 2009, will continue to air for several months since the show is so far ahead in taping. Additionally, former SOAP TALK host Ty Treadway (ex-Colin/Troy, OLTL) has been cast in the role of Dr. Jason Walters. He will begin taping in August and will appear for several episodes in the fall.

ALthough I thought LH was a total miscast as Arianna, I just would think that we would have to suffer through it! WOW! Hmm...I see a Brady/Nicole/EJ..triangle coming...sounds like the new direction that they're going! As for Ty...he's such a HAM! I hope I can see him in some other way. Hmm, lots of hospital stuff coming...new hospital (St. Marys) new doc....you can also hide another kid over there?????? Thanks for posting!

I like Arianna (and Gabi) more than I do Rafe, and he would be the first member of the family I'd get rid of. Plus, I really did enjoy the chemistry Hartley had with James Scott and I was excited for more EJ and Arianna scenes. What a disappointment. As for Treadway, I'm sure this role is nothing at all and he will come and go in just a matter of weeks.

The ratings aren't doing as well as they were last year. Corday may have entered into the picture again. Could we be seeing the return of La Hall soon?

She serves no purpose. Or atleast recast her, so Gabi/Chad can be paired again, and maybe Casey will have more chemistry with a more adult looking chick.

I rather see her go out with a bang then what DAYS have been doing and shipping them off to some country. Maybe this is the change of direction that was being talked about?!

Posts: 3,707 Group: Elite Member Member #676 Joined: December 20, 2007	I feel bad for LH because she seems like a very nice person, but I never warmed to the character of Arianna, particularly after she took over the role. I neve saw any great chemistry between Arianna and Brady (or really any chemistry at all) and that whole relationship just fell completely flat to me. So, I'm not sorry to see the character go.
