Fox has ordered a family-comedy pilot inspired by a hit U.K. sitcom. The network has picked up "Outnumbered," which revolves around three rambunctious kids who overwhelm their parents. The award-winning and semi-improvised British version of the title has aired on BBC 1 since 2007. The pilot will be produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association with Chernin Entertainment and Hat Trick Prods. Like "Raising Hope" last year, "Outnumbered" is being produced outside of the usual pilot cycle, with Fox hoping to have a greater selection of acting and production talent rather than vying with rivals during the frenzied pilot season. The pilot will be produced during the next few months. Barbara Wallace and Thomas R. Wolfe are the writers/executive producers. Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope and Jimmy Mulville are nonwriting executive producers. |
