This one is going to cover a lot of soap history along with his new role on THE BAY.

This was Damon's interview so not 100% sure but she came on in 1988 and he left in 1988 so that would be my assumption.

Here are the other links for anyone interested:

I liked this part about a gay soldier he served in the Army with:
In the army I defended a young man who was being thrown out because they caught him downtown in a sting operation. It was very unfair. I went to the colonel on his behalf. I said, “Look, if those of us who are straight got caught downtown making out with a hooker, everybody would laugh at what terrific males we were. This guy is an exemplary soldier, no one has ever been afraid of dropping the soap around him. He’s not guilty of anything except being caught in a sting operation.” The colonel said, “Coster, I hear you, I agree with you, but those are the rules.” That was 54 years ago. And they are still at it!

I could be wrong, but I think Nicolas is confusing his times on SB. I thought for sure Lionel was looking at how faking his death affected the Lockridges when he returned to the show in 1990. I watched the show for the entire 8 1/2 years it was on and I recall Lionel just fading into the woodwork and leaving town shortly after Hayley's death. Juniorz1, if you see this can you clarify?

I'm a little fuzzy on all that myself.

With just his soap roles alone, it's amazing Nic can even keep half of it straight. We always talk about how many times certain characters have been married but I wonder who owns the record as an actor for being in the most soap weddings? I can think of several for Mr. Coster.

Oh, no worries Roger. GREAT interview!! The man's so diplomatic. I knew Beverlee McKinsey could be a bitch to deal with at times depending on the situation, but for Nicolas to come right out and say it in so many words. I also thought his comments about Doug Watson were first-rate.

If anyone had earned the rights to be a bitch, it's Beverlee! :)

Love Beverlee. There's so many dynamics that goes on at these shows so there's bound to be some conflict, like if someone is getting more covers or more attention or better story or has a better dressing room or any number of things.

Wish she was still around and on a soap right now.
