She's reunited her ex-husband, Robert Preston, played by a recast Tristan Gemmill. I like them together and he's pretty hot. She doesn't have much of a story at the moment, but Rob will be coming back for a limited return in the next few weeks.

Why doesn't Leanne slap the snot out of that malignant gnome? She's a Battersby ffs! And after that she should park him and his belongings at Number One. Let him try that tough guy stuff with Tracy!

I don't hate it and I'm always still looking forward to seeing it. A lot of people aren't happy with it and are eager for Kate Oates to take over.

There are some good ideas, but Stuart Blackburn never delivers any payoff for anything. Everything ends in a whimper.

Thanks EastEnders for being the only soap not to play charades today.

That was some poweful writing and acting tonight. Still some life left in the old dog after all.

I know I'm supposed to root for Todd over Phelan, but I hope Phelan crushes him. I hate Phelan and what he's done to everyone, especially Anna. But I hate how Todd put everyone before Jason. And I especially hate his relationship with that whining, lying Billy. Sean is nowhere near a favorite or well liked character of mine, but the way Billy treated him is loathsome. I want Phelan to make Todd and by way of collateral damage - Billy - suffer.

With the EP change I may check Corrie out in a bit once she starts to get going.

I'm kind of losing it with Emmerdale.

Kate Oates first credited episode will be August 15, FYI.

After I got fed up with Dool I stumbled upon The Sarah Platt pregnancy story on youtube and became instantly hooked on Corrie especially the Platt family. I've been watching since May and have watched nearly all of what we have on Hulu. Kylie dying was one of the three times a soap has had me on the edge of tears in the past 10 years (the others being Will's and Bo's deaths).

Eeeh, if you're going to rip off Eastenders in short succession it's probably not the best idea to pit a third rate soap actress like Tina O'Brien against soap legend Lacey Turner.

I'm finding Corronation Street incredibly boring or meh. Somehow it's gone off the rails. There was a time that of the British soaps, it's the one that held my attention the most. Now? I can barely sit through an episode.

Really looking forward to Coronation Street next week after seeing that trailer for David's storyline. I wish had this kind of excitement about our soaps.

Do you remember that Corrie episode from November 26, 1986?
