ATWT Star to AMC!
Sarah Glendening (ex-Lucy, ATWT) has been tapped to succeed Brittany Allen as David and Krystal's daughter, Marissa Chandler. She will first air on December 20; Allen's last ep will be broadcast on December 17. Glendening had previously auditioned for the role of Madison, which went to Stephanie Gatschet.

Is she any good? I still don't see the reason for the character. I think they should cut losses.

I don't think one could really say. On ATWT, it's not like she was ever given anything substantial. Plus, Lucy was always a crap character.

To refer to her as an ATWT "star" is a bit of an overstatement. I had to look her up because I had no clue who she played -- and then realized that I'd actually watched her on the show as Lucy... within the last couple of months even.

I seem to remember her being decent in one of her first episodes. I think the last proper opening debuted that day or something for me to have seen her.

If the writing for Marissa doesn't get any better the recast isn't going matter. I want to know what the point is of keeping this Pratt creation on the show is too, besides the whole Carey's are love hard-on Carruthers/Frons has.

I've seen some video of her from ATWT on YouTube, and she DEFINITELY has more sparkle and stage presence than Brittany Allen did, so that is definitely a plus. Without David around and with how they've seemingly WATERED down Krystal, I agree that the character is pointless right now, unless they were to bring back Alexa Havins to play her.

Actually, bunk that. If Alexa came back, I'd want them to resurrect Babe. Never gonna happen. Just daydreamin!!!!
