According to Inside Soap, the actor, who plays Jackson Walsh in the soap, said that he didn't expect to be asked back to 'Emmerdale'.

When asked what was the biggest shock that he received since joining the show, he said: "I'd say being asked to stay in 'Emmerdale'!"

"Our producer Gavin [Blyth] took me up to his office and asked if it was okay to keep me on."

"I'd expected to come in, help with the storyline and then go - so that was the biggest shock."

The actor is expected to continue playing Jackson Walsh in the soap until at least spring 2011.

He can't go soon enough for me.

The guy that Aaron hit should have been some short term player, and then they could have brought in Jackson.

Of course, they should have went with Aaron/Adam with Victoria as Aaron's best friend. From there, maybe Adam IS straight but was just confused and gets with Victoria, etc ... So many BETTER story opportunities wasted on what is now a completely terrible story where we are being FORCED to feel sympathy for Aaron. Awful, US soap trick. These writers should be better than this.

I don't mind that they brought in Jackson. What I do mind is if Aaron and Jackson are dating, they should actually SHOW that from time to time.
