I watched it last night and loved it. Emmy Rossum was great and I liked the boys who played Lip and Ian. I'll definitely be tuning in next week.

Even though he was not highly featured as much as the kids, William H. Macy's character was my less favorite. That has been pretty consistent with the reviews I have read of the series.

I LOVED the show! I didn't expect it to entertain me this much! I love the characters and I love the acting! I love the simple, real stories.. And thank God William H. Macy wasn't on that much. For some reason, he bugs me.

Steve and Fiona are already one my favorite TV couples right from the start!

Great show.

Aaaaah ..... so, I was kind of annoyed by the premiere. Likely from watching the original, but whatevs.

I'm not fond of the Lip, Ian, and Debbie actors, and Cusack's version of Sheila was totally watered down. And what is that tool from Reba doing here!? I think what annoyed me most though was the word-for-word lifting of dialogue from the UK version, I absolutely loathe it when UK to US remakes do this. It's unoriginal, and just highlights the many reasons why James McAvoy & Anne-Marie Duff will always pwn Justin Chatwin & Emmy Rossum.

I did get a kick out of the in-joke of Veronica working at County General. Weaver or Banfield busting her for stealing and selling supplies on ebay would have been something to see

I was surprised by this. I figured the point of getting a name actor here would be that they would beef up the Frank role. Perhaps that will still happen though. In the original, Frank is basically a secondary character. The kids drive the story, and he wobbles around drunk in the backseat.

But, you're not doing the character properly if you're likeable.

James McAvoy  Would you recommend the original? Has every season been good so far?

I've only watched the first three so far, but I'd absolutely recomend it over the US one. The first season won what sounds like the US version of an emmy for best show. I burned through them within a week. Couldn't stop. I've had to take a break because thebox got all pissy about my ratio, and season 5 is big.

I'm just starting season 4 .... so lots of Tina Malone :D
