I just discovered a few days ago that I no longer have the Shotime channel
That's unfortunate. You need to be watching Homeland.

Are you going to re-subscribe next summer for BBAD?

Yes hopefully so! And I definitely gotta catch Homeland from the beginning (along with Revenge), I only hear good things about them...

So I'm getting caught up on Shameless on Demand and really enjoying it. I've watched the first 8 episode this past week...So initial thoughts- I love Fionna and Steve and think they are adorable together. I hope they make it...And the actor that plays Steve is my new tv crush...Also, loving Lip, Ian and Deb. Great actors..Ian's story is so scandalous and I love that his gay character gets equal treatment on this show..Also, Joan Cusak is fantastic..I wish she would of scored a supporting actress Golden Globe nod.

Things I don't like- Frank..I despise his character...I would be totally fine if they killed him off..William H. Macy is doing a great job, but i just can't stand the character. I really only like him when he shares scenes with Shelia...Love her..

That said, I'm glad I checked this show out.

Frank is not supposed to be liked. He's a really vile character. My problem is with William H Macy. He tried to make the character too likable.

It's strange. Even though this show was my guiltiest pleasure last season, I didn't really miss it much over the last nine months. Then I watched tonight's premiere and I realized what a void there was in my life without it. Thank God it's back!

Note: Canadians get the show on Monday nights.

...

Thank God this show is back in my life. Honestly, I don't miss Steve much at all, especially since he fails epicly compared to James McAvoy, who is a complete treasure. Anyway, Ian has been working out, while sadly, it seems Kevin has been putting it on. :( LoL

Also, and not just because of this episode, this is a great show to watch when high.

You don't have the movie network?

Nope. I only pay for basic cable. I have no time for TV during school, so I don't bother paying for more than basic cable. I just download my favorite cable shows.

ratings were great Sunday night.

I still can't believe they went there by having Frank suck off those guys for money.

I've only seen the first episode of season 2 so far...Showtime had it up on their site for free. I truly hope I will be able to see all the episodes online/via torrents somehow.

God I love this show. So good! I missed the winter feel/setting the show had last season, but it makes sense that it's Summer now & the show is still gorgeous to look at.

Sheila doesn't seem as fun now that she's gotten over her agoraphobia, but Joan Cusack is still AMAZING in the role. Love her.

At first I was wondering who the heck was that girl with Lip & Ian towards the beginning of the show? Then I realized it was Mandy & they recasted the role. I miss Jane Levy, makes sense she was recasted though since she's over on Suburgatory now. I guess the new girl is ok. I hope Mickey is back this season as well (with the same actor) :P

LOL at the Gallagher home turning into a daycare for children, where the little Gallagher kids are the ones watching the children over the Summer and Fiona goes upstairs and sleeps  That is so crazy but I love it. Their daily hustle routine is madness.

Not sure if I like Fiona's new guy. Anyone else still have hope for her and Tony (the cop)?

The weed stuff was hilarious. I thought it was a pretty lame/cliche plot to have Frank owe someone money again, I'm glad that was wrapped up all in the same episode. I LOVE that the Gallaghers gave up all the money they earned in the last day to get Liam back. They're hustlers and are willing to do anything to make a buck but they're willing to give it all up to save a family member. I freaking love that.

Frank is a goddamn fool and after that disastrous situation with Liam I just cannot stand him anymore!

The Ian/Kash stuff wasn't interesting enough for me. I'll be interested in seeing how things go for Ian this season...hopefully his story gets juicier & there's more attention payed to it. Best scene: That one with Lip & Ian in the bathroom. I love their genuine, brotherly relationship.

Frank's character is annoying and not enjoyable. He has zero entertainment value, IMO.

So is Lip going to knock that girl up? I like all the brothers.

I still hate Fiona. What a b*tch?

I think William Macy is a fantastic actor and very entertaining but Frank as a character is tiring. I think they go too far with him.

I sure hope Lip doesn't get Karen pregnant. I think that would totally limit their story and I see them becoming boring.

Fiona is my FAVE!! She's so complex.

I wonder if the Frank thing is a cultural difference with thee British. In america, we don't always have the most positive view of the poor who game the welfare system.

The majority of British people don't approve of benefit fraud. The British version shows Frank in a much more unflattering light than the american version. The British version of Frank is unflinching in depicting his repugnancy.

It only dawned on me last night that the actress who plays Mandy (Jane Levy) is also Tessa from Suburgatory. That took me a while to figure out lol.
