It cracks me up how Y&R consistently lost 200,000 more viewers each day as the week went on. |

Good week for Days and GH. I said it last week but the even better news is that there is some stabilization in the numbers, especially in demos where soaps were bleeding out most of this year, especially Days and GH. Oh, and the season to date numbers have improved a little since September too for some soaps. I recall Days tanked last year the week after Thanksgiving so that is why they really aren't down much in their numbers from last year except in viewers. |

People tuned in to see what happened with David, then the show put him into a coma (big mistake imo) and they tuned out. Monday was also the Thanksgiving episode which I thought was really good. The rest of the week I loved JR/Annie, Griffin/Amanda/Jake, and Kendall. The rest was Ryan/Greenlee nonsense plus Erica shooting David and the fallout from that which I didn't think was that great. I hope AMC's numbers don't get to horrible because I don't think the show is that bad, they really need to pick up the pace on the S/L's though and start listening to fans about Ryan/Greenlee. No one likes them, they are the worst part about the show. Split these two up already and put them with other people. Also stop trying to make Greenlee out as this great heroine, sorry but that's just not what she is and it's not who fans fell in love with. Please make her a giant biotch again. |

It was their big location shoot in New Orleans. Sharon, Adam, Nick, Phyllis, and Michael were all down there. I can't believe they wasted New Orleans on such a crappy storyline. |

Y&R's ratings have been 3.4/3.5 for months now. I am sure the writers hoped that the New Orleans shoot and the silly Sharon/Adam story line would give them a bump in the ratings. Which didn't happen despite the publicity that was given to the New Orleans shoot. This location shoot or the garbage that is Sharon and Adam's relationship did not bring in more viewers. MAB once again struck out. There is such a disconnect between what she puts out there and what viewers are interested in seeing. |

Exactly and the highest rated day was Monday and nothing even happened on that day. Monday are always the highest rated days for Y&R. |

Y&R's ratings always decline as the days of the week go by. I think viewers watch on Monday still hoping something good will happen then by mid week they are disillusioned once again and tune out. The quality of Y&R continues to decline and that will be the case as long as that hack MAB is in charge. |

Basically. To drop from a 3.9 to a 3.2 is pretty drastic. |

Nice to see DAYS rebounding in the ratings. The show did drop though a lot on Thursday and then again on Friday, may not be good for this weeks ratings. |

Maybe but Days isn't the only one who should worry. All the soaps dropped those days. Monday was a great day for soaps. I wonder why. One thing to start looking at too is given the winter weather now and with the holidays approaching, we should start seeing the traditional bumps. They aren't what they used to be but if there ids a nasty winter storm around, that should help the soaps. Also, the third week of December through mid-January is usually a good ratings period for soaps too. Days should do good during that time. It usually does. |
