Scott's return is the main AMC article in both magazines. Sarah G. (Marissa) loves him (Cosgrove). Scott will be a changed man, he's had time to think & he's had a tough time in prison & things won't be easier when he gets out (difficulty getting work). He wants to build himself back up w/o JR's help. Enter Greenlee (read: SOD 2011 previews). Scott has no interest at all in Annie - he's happy he dodged that bullet. Marissa? He loves her as a friend, maybe in the future he'll think of that as something more but for now - no. In the next week or two, we'll see Marissa working to get him out of jail. SOW interviews Sarah about JR/Scott. Scott questions Marissa's newfound trust in JR which includes the petition for joint custody. She understands but she feels he's changed. Meanwhile, JR is not happy with Marissa trying to free Scott. Marissa basically tells him to mind his own da*n business. Alicia M. details some of Father Clarence's visit with Kendall. She thinks it was beautiful. It helps her get to the point of acceptance. She's still mourning but she lets go of the anger and the hope that maybe they'll find him - she sees that she has her kids, family and friends and that she can be okay. The Chrismas miracle is Kendall reconciling with Greenlee. SOW notes several PV residents hope for a Christmas miracle & Kendall's wish is granted when she has a vision of Zach as an angel. Jan. 3 will be an Erica centric episode dealing with her relationships with Caleb, Jack and Kendall. Madison has a change of heart on Jan. 4. Damon sees Colby and Asher kissing. Kendall takes a dangerous turn. An insider says it REALLY was Wittrock's decision to leave. Yes, he didn't have fans in some of the suits but it was his decision. Editorial Commentary... AMC/SOD editor notes that while she understands why fans were upset about DS's Z/K interview, what has played on-screen has been great (the writing plays a part in AM's magnificent work) & didn't really match the tone of the article. B/c of that she's willing to give the benefit of the doubt on them waiting a good time before going into K/G. AMC/SOW editor knows that Rylee sucks, as does the prospect of seperating Jerica again BUT AMC's got other stuff going for it. AM's great performances, he's enjoying the addition of JV/LH, thinks the Madison pregnancy was a great move and can't wait to see JR trying to have his cake and eat it, too, explode in his face.
