wow.....DOOL almost broke 3mill on Monday's eppi, even tho we tanked Tuesday. And we didn't get as big of a jump this week as the rest of the soaps, but I'm hoping that's b/c we made our gains in the previous weeks and will be keeping them (unlike the rest, most likely). |

A couple of things... All the soaps seemed to cash in big on Monday. I do wonder if that had to do with weather. If you lived near any of the Great Lakes, you pretty much got buried in snow for back to back Monday-Wednesday periods the wk of 12/6 and the wk of 12/13. If that is the case, I would think the soaps will do well when the ratings come out for this week (the wk of 12/27) considering the east coast just got a blizzard. I'm actually happy Days only got a small boost on the heels of it's boost last week. That is how they built their audience in 2009. Better to be slow and steady than jump alot and then crash. It shows consistency. Good for the other soaps jumping although the week before Christmas traditionally is a bad week in recent years from what I recall so it may not bode well for next week. I can see Days and GH doing well next week because they seem to always do well this time of year (and both did alot story-wise last week) but I'm worried about the others. Also, check out the season to date numbers. The soaps have slowly improved those since the new season started in September. Days and GH both started out with 1.8's in HH and around a 1.0/1.1 in 18-49 back in September. Now, both shows have a 2.0 in HH and have increased their 18-49. Very good signs. |

I too am glad to see that Days continues to rise in small amounts. Slow and steady seems to win the RACE!! It was great to see that Monday was almost 3mil. |

I know it's probably a coincidence, but how fascinating that the highest rated episode that week was the one with the Phloe high school flashback. Just sayin'. ;) |

I'm excited Days continues to rise and rise slowly. Those big increases in one week usually end up in a crash and burn situation. Days also has the renewal on it's side and that's exciting as well.......however, I hope TPTB don't get too comfy with it and do in 2011 what they did during the spring of 2010. The beginning of '10 was slow...too slow. I understand build up and appreciate it...it's needed for pay off. But, there were many weeks of filler episodes and I just don't think soaps can do that anymore. I think Days is aware of this and 2011 is gonna rock. I hope so, at least. Lol And I would raise to my feet and clap my hands, literally, if I saw Days take the number 2 spot from B&B! Imagine what I'd do if it overtook Y&R. Lol. That'll never happen so thank God I don't have to imagine much. :) |

It is far fetched thinking that Days would overtake Young and the Restless, but with the way the storylines and the writing are going on that show it may just be overtaken by Days or B&B. |

They showed right before they went into the Last Blast Dance, with Philip telling Chloe to take off her glasses. "Will I get them back?" "Yes, you'll get them back!" and then him being amazed at how "unreal" her eyes were. In the present, Chloe thanks Philip for being the first boy who ever looked at her twice, and he gave her a gift for Parker (which he asked her not to tell Daniel about) and it was an aria that Chloe had written for Joy in case Chloe didn't live to sing it to her. He wanted her to sing it to Parker, and Chloe was all amazed that Philip had held on to it for all these years. And then they went to Chloe's apartment to meet Daniel and Melanie, showed up at different times and acted like they had never even been together! LOL It was good, good stuff. |
