CBS orders pilot starring Sarah Michelle Gellar Just as god rested after creating the world, Sarah Michelle Gellar has been taking it relatively easy on the TV-front since the 2003 end of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." But that may soon change. Vulture reports that CBS has given a pilot order for "Ringer," a thriller with the 33-year-old actress set to star. The series follows a young woman on the run from the mob, who tries to lay low by pretending to be her wealthy twin sister -- only to realize that she too has a price on her head. A little convoluted? Yes. But does it really matter when you're talking about a series that would star two Sarah Michelle Gellars? Not in the least. Gellar serves as co-executive producer on the project, which was created by "Supernatural" scribes Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder. Though she's mostly focused on film work -- and motherhood -- since departing the tube almost eight years ago, Gellar did star in an unsuccessful pilot for HBO in 2008, "The Wonderful Maladys." Not sure about the premise, but I'm excited for her. Hopefully this one actually makes it to television. |

The way most geeks talk you'd think they were talking about Meryl Streep or Sarah Bernhardt instead of Sarah Michelle Gellar. I've never understood the appeal. I still think her best work was on Swans Crossing and it's been all downhill talent-wise ever since. |

Cruel Intentions was her best, IMO. Just absolutely perfect. "I'm the Marcia fucking Brady of the upper East side and sometimes, I want to kill myself!" GOLD |

It's hard carrying an entire series ... and Lucci's a jealous hag. That's always been known. |

Excuses, excuses. I still like SMG as an actress, but she's a bitch. Period. |

I love SMG, but I really don't like the description of his new series. And I had no idea Alysson Hannigan and SMG don't get along?? |

I didnt either. The only one I had heard of was Seth Green, but given how often she does Robot Chicken I cant see it as being true. |
