According to pretty reliable website, Ultimate Dallas (http://www.ultimatedallas.com) the pilot of the new Dallas will see the returns of Charlene Tilton as Lucy Ewing and Steve Kanaly as Ray Krebbs.

The way that article's worded, it sounds as if Larry Hagman will be appearing only in the pilot.

Why am I starting to get the feeling that J.R. will die in the pilot and that Ray and Lucy are coming for the funeral? I hope that's not where they're going with this.

I heard that if Larry Hagman didn't return, JR would have died however, I think Ray and Lucy are back for Bobby and Ann's wedding. I think that's the big event in the pilot. JR I think is in some hospital (mental or whatnot) which explains why he wouldn't be there for the Ewing reunion.

Oh that's right, I completely forgot about the (dumb) mental hospital thing.

Yeah. However, I've read a few different variations of plot so I have no idea what we will actually see, if we ever see, the pilot.

I really hope TNT picks it up. I'm just not quite sure where it would fit on their lineup, and it's a surprising choice for them. Just very different from what they have and have had in the past in terms of original shows.

If I recall correctly, years and years ago, TNT aired re-runs of Dallas (and I believe Knots Landing, as well), so I don't think it's that strange. What I do find surprising is the demographic they seem to be aiming for, since I've always thought of them as an older-skewing network.

They did air reruns of both shows. I mostly watched Knots Landing and was peeved when they quit airing that. I remember other channels showing Dallas back then, I think TNN (The Nashville Network) was one of them.

I don't see this doing any better than the remakes of 90210 and Melrose Place did...

I kinda agree (as much as it kills me to say), however, none of these are remakes. They're updated versions of the originals. They've all had original characters come into play so they aren't remakes, lol.
