This is the Friday, February 25, 1986, episode and the very last time this opening theme is used. The next Monday (as the Flood continues), the techno "Somewhere in the Night" opening begins (the theme is actually used in the background during a scene in this episode). |

God I love Estelle......and that ending! Jo: Oh my God! :scared: Such an infamous moment in Daytime (even though Search was grasping at straws by this point). And look......Gary Tomlin is responsible for this stuff....huh |

It gets BETTER! Here's the next episode of the FLOOD! And the premiere of the "Strangers in the Night" opening. And I didn't realize it, but this is actually a WEDNESDAY episode (with the previous ep being a Tuesday). SEARCH was earlier pre-empted 2 days due to the Challenger disaster on January 28, 1986, which threw the scheduled air dates off. |

Speaking of disasters, did GL have a tornado or an earthquake back in the 90's? I vaguely remember people trapped under a fancy staircase that collapsed, but I'm not even sure i have the right soap. |

They had an earthquake during the San Christobal (sp?) storyline. I think it was in the early 00's though. |
