Would you guys please stop blaming Nicole for what happened, she didn't send Rachel home, America did, so why all the hate. If America wanted Marcus to go home he would've got the lowest amount of votes but he didn't so what's the problem. That being said, i was sad to see Rachel go home i wanted the 3 girls to be in the final 3 (Melanie,Rachel and Drew) well that didn't happened so i want Melanie to win it all,she deserves it.

My problem is that Nicole allowed it to go to deadlock... and not because she thought Marcus did a better performance or anything. She allowed it to go to deadlock because SHE COULDN'T MAKE A DECISION. She's a judge. One of her jobs as a judge is to pick who should go through. She couldn't do that. Therefore she failed at her job.

I remember when Simon allowed it to go to deadlock too, and Leroy ended up going home. I was pissed too. However, I wasn't as pissed as I am now because he actually had a reason for allowing it to go to deadlock. While with Nicole, she just couldn't choose and because she had no other choice, "picked" Rachel -- thus letting it go to a tie, which then resulted in Rachel going home. And so yes, some of that blame should go to Nicole!

Nicole kept saying "I can't make this decision... I can't make this decision." -- Well bitch, why the hell are you a fucking judge if you can't make a fucking decision when you're fucking supposed to?!?! Yes, it's not easy. I understand that. But I can't really sympathize with her too much, because making difficult decisions is just part of the job that she signed up for.

This has me more pissed than the elimination last week. I'm not sure why, though, because I love Drew and I've always found Rachel annoying. I think it's the fact that Nicole didn't have the balls to make a decision. With Drew's elimination, even though Nicole made what was in my opinion a *wrong* decision, at least it *was* a decision.

Rachel responding with SHOCK at her elimination after saying it was okay, she was fine with whatever happened and then going "MOMMY!!! You PROMISED me!" made me hate her. That was SO Veruca Salt I could have died. I actually felt bad for Nicole. I never liked Rachel anyway, although she is talented, she clearly doesn't have the maturity (or humility) for this yet ... she'll get a record deal, be huge, then get all fucked up like all the rest of the kid stars who get too famous before they can handle it. Shame.

Didn't she say "You promise?" to her mom after her mom told her that it was ok? I think she was worried about her mom being upset/mad.

That is exacty it, she wanted to make sure that it was ok for her being elminated because for a 13 year old girl, she didn't want to disappoint her mother or her family. It wasn't like her mother was telling her she was going to win XFactorUSA, nobody can promise anybody that.

I am going to have to say something, and stick up for my girl.

I know that not everybody likes her and she made not be everyone cup of tea. She is only 13 years old . She has been humble through out the whole process. She has been so grateful and thankful for this opportunity that XFactorUSA and Simon has given her. Never once has she misbehaved like a young rapper that we all know did and had a tantrum. He didn't want to perform in the save me song because he was in the bottom two. She is only 13 years old and yet some people expect her to be so mature at that age. I wonder if any of us at 13 was so mature.

Rachel was born to a crack mother, live in a crack house for a few months before she was adopted. She live in a small town up in Colorado. If you ask me, she turn out great, her parents and her family never had much. They were poor. I remember on the show, she talked about how she wanted to be able to go to store buy things and not have her parents and family feel guilty because they didnt' have enough money to afford things.

As for Nicole, I don't feel the least bit sorry for her, she gets paid million to be a judge, when Drew was eliminated. It was because Marcus sang his hearts out in the save me song and deserve to stay, so she chose to save Marcus. But yet when Rachel did the same thing, she outperform Marcus in the save me song, Nicole couldn't make a decision. Look I get Nicole strategy, she wants her boy Josh to be in the final two and she will do anything to make that possible. Rachel was a threat to Josh making it to the finals, but she needs to quit the fucking bullshit that she spewling and put on her big girls pants and just own up to it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rgNjrKBICs Stacy Francis, Drew, and Rachel...they are having so much fun. I like how they can joke and make fun of each other.

Maybe I was wrong, but I heard "you promised me!" and then everyone was shushing her and they cut away. That was what I saw/heard, but of course I could be wrong. It left a BAD taste in my mouth. I have a 13 year old son, so I am not insensitive to her age or her challenging life, I just think some kids are too young and immature to handle this business, and some parents build them up too much, telling them they will be hugely successful, and then when they have a failure of any kind, they can't handle it. That was what it looked like to me.

^ I kinda thought she said "you PROMISED me" too....and I know she is only 13 and I thought her going home was absolute SHIT after that save me song performance, but her reaction to going home was OTT...but that is her age I guess...Drew also had a bad reaction to going home.

Well, Rachel did have the lowest votes. If this was AI, she would have been gone (unless they still had the "save"). Marcus should have gone before her though. I hope tonight is the night!

Melanie and Josh were both really good last night. I loved 'Hallelujah'. It has been done a lot, but Josh gave me chills during that song.

I wish we had a Melanie/Josh/Drew final three.

Watching the finale at my parents house. How the fuck are songs from a decade ago relevant?

How is it OK for R. Kelley to sing with a young woman?

Why didn't two contestants really sing that much?

This is embarrassing for all involved.

Oh, except Avril Lavigne. Big moment for her.

And now performing a Michael Jackson song...the one with anti-Jewish lyrics. On Hannukkah.

Do they even have to sing to win this thing? Marching in place- except the dude who refused to move. Or the girl in the middle who did it sort-of.

That had to be one of the most boring finales ever.

The celebrity duets were lame! I only liked the Alanis Morissette (she looked super fierce tonight, BTW!) duet with Josh. R. Kelly and Avril Lavigne as the celebrity guests was kind of random.

What the hell was up with the Michael Jackson thing? Were there seriously these Transformer-looking things with dollar signs on their chests dancing around? It was so stupid!

Usually for finale nights, don't they perform three songs? Isn't that usually what AI does? IDK, I have atrocious memory. But for the first round, they sang with a celebrity and then for the second night, they sang a song they did already? LAME!
The duets didn't really help us decide who was the best since some of the celebrities (*cough* Avril *cough*) drowned out the contestant and the second round was no help either because we've already seen them perform the song before. So basically, there was nothing substantial. For viewers who were stumped on who to vote for, there was really nothing to help them decide.

Also, for whatever reason, I don't know if it's the contestants (I'm not really invested in any of those 3) or just the format of the show, but there was no real excitement. No anticipation or pizazz that a finale should have. There should be huge fireworks and standing ovations for these huge performances that knock your socks off. There was none of that, and it felt like a show for the Top 6 or something -- not the Top 3!

Sigh. I'm really disappointed -- not only in the finale, but in the entire season.

Alanis looked really good! She sounded great, but that wasn't a good song for Josh. All of the duets were disappointing though.

Alanis M. is a goddess, she sounded so great, but that song choice didn't suit Josh. I thought he would choose something by Joe Cocker.

Anyway, I voted for Melanie to take home the prize. As L A Reid said that wasn't a 5 million dollar prize, but a 50 million dollar prize. Finally, the best thing he said throughout the real competition. Next year, I hope he and Nicole are gone from X Factor.

I agree the highlight of last night was really Alanis, Jagged Little Pill is still my favorite 10 ten albums of all time.

It had been a wonderful evening and what I needed now, to give it the perfect ending, was a little of the Ludwig Van.

The winner is Melanie Amaro. :cheer:

Josh Krajcik in 2nd.

Chris Rene finished 3rd.

Good for all of them. :) That said, I'm so not looking forward to the next season of this show. IMO it's just not as good as The Voice or AI.

I'm pissed that someone gets $5 million from this. That seems really unfair.

Here's hoping they revamp.

Okay, that was a terrible finale. It felt more like those CBS special holiday concerts than a finale for a singing competition. I mean... yeah, I get that it's almost Christmas, but who sings Christmas songs in a finale? Lame.

The celebrity artists were pathetic.
Justin Bieber made me want to puke. I couldn't even enjoy Drew or Stevie Wonder because of that twat.

50 Cent and NeYo were awful too. The 50 Cent performance kind of felt like an Xmas-themed porn flick to me, LoL, because of the background dancers gyrating all over the place. I laughed when they showed the shot of the judges. Simon was just standing there, looking like a zombie while everyone else was dancing around, LMAO.

The only positive was Leona Lewis. She was an absolute GODDESS. She slayed everyone!

I liked the duet with Melanie and Josh. Their voices didn't clash; it was actually really soothing and harmonic. They have nice onstage chemistry too.

I am happy Melanie won. I loved Josh too, but I was rooting for Melanie more. I am so glad Chris only got 3rd place, LoL.

Steve = worst. host. ever. He was so awkward tonight -- even more so than usual. I can't believe he said "You know you have to sing in a moment" to Melanie while she was crying and hugging her family. Boy, he's smooth, eh? :eyeroll:

Overall, it was an okay season. Talent-wise, it was good, until it got towards the end when the wrong contestants were eliminated. I just hated the judges and the format. I was hopeful and excited about this show at first, but oh well. Maybe they'll be making some big changes next season. *fingers crossed*

What a BORING AS FUCK finale....but so happy Melanie won...she was the most deserving winner and had the best vocal talent from the entire group of contestants.

LOL at Leona Lewis proving just how bad the majority of the singers in this competition are...THAT is how you sing a song!
