I loved last night's episode. The best part was that we didn't see much of Emma and Henry! :) I didn't expect to love Belle and Rumpelstiltskin, but I did. Their whole master/lover, beauty/beast dynamic, the acting... everything was great. I did feel sorry for Rumple (mostly due to RC's acting. If it was anyone else playing the role, I wouldn't love the character as much). Sometimes it takes losing somebody to realize how much they mean to you. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, right? I think he just didn't realize how much he needed Belle in his life. As a hopeless romantic, a small part of me did want Rumple to just admit his love for Belle and together they could just live happily ever after. But I'm glad they didn't go with that because that wouldn't fit with his character. The man shouldn't be some love-struck pussy; he's dangerous and power hungry. That's who he is. To abandon all that for a girl wouldn't be in character. I don't disagree with bstreis re: Rumple deserving to lose her. I pity him, but in the end, I'm glad he lost the girl. LMAO at David's dumbass move. What a fucking loser. I really don't understand David and Mary's dilemma. Just divorce Kathryn! I mean, really, it's not like they have to sneak off to Alamainia or anything to get a divorce. ;) I always enjoy scenes with Robert and Lana. Oh, the Queen is such a nasty bitch. And Regina! Not surprised that she knows where real-life Belle is. I loved the scene where Mr. Gold reveals who his real name is. Although I have to say... while I adore their rivalry, a part of me wants Mr. Gold and Regina to just team up and bring down Emma, LoL. |

The scenes between Mr. Gold and Regina were AWESOME. Wonderfully written AND acted. I've had a good feeling that Mr. Gold knew who he was. Mary Margaret and David are starting to bore me with this "will they or won't they" nonsense. I'm still convinced that there's more to the story where David's wife Kathryn is concerned. She DID show up out of the blue, and she IS friends with Regina. So something tells me that she's not as sweet and innocent as she seems. I'm assuming Regina is holding Belle captive because she knows Belle is the key to making Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin lose his power (and thereby give the EQ the upper hand) via true love's kiss. LOVED seeing the chipped cup, the teapot, the rose, and all the clocks (tie-in's from the old Beauty & The Beast tale). But did anyone see the candlestick? I looked, but I never saw it. LOL'd at the writing on the flower van. Anyone else see it? "Game of Thorns". Ha ha ha! :) |

Yep, me too. I started suspecting it in the first episode with the looks he was giving Emma when she first arrived into town. I totally think you might be onto something. She did appear out of nowhere and just claimed that she thought David had left her, but didn't even bother to find out for sure? :huh1: Yeah, right! And given that this is Regina we're talking about, she'd do just about anything to make sure David and Mary Margaret stayed apart. I didn't notice it the first time, but rewatched after reading Jane Espenson's tweets. Clever!! Good for you for noticing it! :D Also, did anyone catch the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and Harry Potter items amongst Mr. Gold's stolen belongings and in Rumple's house? And they've referenced "Lost" in past episodes as well. LOL! Fun little Easter Eggs they've been throwing in for fans! Edited by MidnightRain, Feb 14 2012, 09:17 AM.

I loved Rumple and Belle. Emilie DeRavin just looks like a Belle, and Robert Carlyle is awesome. Sometimes I find Rumple too much, but in this it was perfect. Beauty and the Beast was my favorite movie when I was little, and so I was looking forward to this episode, and it didn't disappoint. And once they had the Rumple/Mr Gold and Regina scene... I was happy. I knew Mr Gold knew. Ugh, David and Mary-Margaret, just go far far away. God, they're annoying. I love Snow and Charming, but their Storybrook personas, not s'much. They're a bore and a half. Let them DO something, writers, please. |

Oh gag Regina, she only told Katharine to keep her curse going,no other reason, same reason she kills people or has them disappear. Good epi tonight though. Doesn't bug me that Mary Margaret and David were sneaking around since there really the married one's anyways. Edited by Snowing Fan, Feb 19 2012, 09:05 PM.

I thought tonight's episode was boring. David... oy vey, could he be more of a pussy? He makes it so difficult for me to like him. Mary Margaret pissed me off tonight too. I'm sick of her "poor me" attitude. All she could worry about was that David lied to her? Really? And she doesn't want people calling her a tramp? Um... how about she not sneak around with an unavailable man then? I don't feel sorry for her one bit! I do feel sorry for Kathryn, though. She should've slapped David too. Lord knows he deserves it. The David/Margaret shit is so predictable. Mary just needs to make up her mind if she wants to be with him or not. She says they shouldn't be together... ermm, how many times has she said that already? I bet next week she's going to be stalking his ass again! Yawn. The James/Frederick/Abigail thing was stupid. And the stranger, August? WTF? His interactions with Emma made me feel like I was watching some straight-to-DVD chick flick or something. They have the chemistry of moldy bread. What a lame episode. I knew I should've watched The Amazing Race instead. At least Brenchel's trainwreckiness would've provided some entertainment. |

I LOVED tonight's episode! :) What else is new? LOL! My favorite part was definitely the fairytale part of the show. Freaking LOVED the stuff in the lake. Those were some great scenes! And I really loved Abigail in this episode. I'm happy that she agreed with Charming that they shouldn't get married, and it was nice seeing Charming be the Prince that he is and bring Abigail's love back to her. Great happy ending just like it should be in Fairytale land. I thought Kathryn was great, too. I love that she acknowledged that David never really loved her and that he really loved Mary Margaret. I'm glad she didn't try to manipulate him and hang onto him and that she let him go. For all the good it did though. The evil WITCH put an end to that in no time. :x Ugh! But I totally guessed that the guy that Kathryn bumped into when confronting MM was Frederick and I was proven right when it was revealed at the end. I love when I guess correctly. LOL! I also don't mind the sneaking around between David and Mary because as BalscoFan5 said, they're the ones who are really married. David being married to Kathryn isn't real; it's all part of the curse, so why play into that, thus prolonging the curse and forcing him to love someone he isn't in love with? And Kathryn realized it, too, and fully accepted it, so no harm done IMO. Regarding those that are disgusted in the way David and MM are behaving, I read something tonight that clarified things a bit. This curse has created essentially two different and opposing characters. One being their true selves, the other being their opposite. So that is why David is acting like an indecisive jerk...opposite of what Charming is all about, and MM is seen as weak, opposite of Snow who is strong and full of confidence. It's all the curse, and it's supposed to make them miserable. I can't fault them at all because this isn't who they really are and their journey is to break through the curse and discover their true selves again. Makes for an interesting story. I did love the way Ginny and Josh played that breakup scene though. Such amazing chemistry the two of them share. And I love that Charming/David and Snow/Mary can cry on cue...makes the scene that much more real. Did anyone get the deal with the mysterious stranger and the book? Was he taking the pages out of the book and replacing them with different ones to alter the story? I was trying to figure out what he was doing. Makes this show that much more mysterious though. The next episode looks good. I wonder what happened to Kathryn. And I believe the fairytale story for the next episode is about Grumpy. Cool! :cheer: |

I liked how when Regina opened that drawer near the end of the episode right before she burned the letter, you could clearly see a can of spray paint, but the show didn't seem to hit you over the head with that fact. It actually took me a hot minute to realize it was a can of spray paint and that Regina's the one who vandalized the truck to play with David & MM. |

That annoyed me. It's one thing for Kathryn to recognize that David didn't love her -- that's fine -- but then to wax poetic about about the great love between the two people who ran around behind her back? Stupid! I hate how the writers use the characters to tell us how we should feel about the other characters. They've done it all season long to prop Emma, and now they used the person David betrayed to pimp him and Mary Margaret. It's so irritating. |

Oh, LOL! I guess the show didn't hit me over the head hard enough! I saw the can of spray paint, but it didn't even cross my mind that it was used to spray paint MM's car. Duh!! I can't believe I didn't put that together. Thanks for pointing that out, Matt! I think I need to watch again. Edited by MidnightRain, Feb 21 2012, 07:19 AM.

David is such a loser. I really dislike him. And I'm disliking Mary Margaret more with each episode. I could have sworn when she got the wrong card on Valentine's she told him that it wasn't a good idea that they kept seeing each other, and then come Sunday's episode - it's as if they never stopped and she was telling him all over again. I've always liked Kathryn/Abigail but her pimping David/Mary Margaret at the end was just ridiculous. I mean we've seen Abigail with some gumption in earlier episodes and although Kathryn has always seemed quiet and calm there would have been no way she was just okay with what had happened between Mary Margaret/David, to the point where she was giving them her blessing...as if. I was hoping Kathryn would have had a darker side to her, and that she was also plotting to keep David but now she's just another victim, boring. And what's the deal with Emma and this writer guy? He's kinda creepy and I don't like it....or maybe it's just cuz he's into Emma and I don't like her. If it wasn't for the Queen/Regina (and Rumple/MrGold) there wouldn't be much entertainment in this show for me. All the good guys are so blah. |

Once Upon a Time Scoop: Barbara Hershey Cast as Evil Queen's Mother Academy Award nominee Barbara Hershey has landed a mother of a role on ABC’s Once Upon a Time, as the very woman who brought the Evil Queen into this world — or, to be more precise, into the fairytale world, TVLine has learned. Hershey, who is also an Emmy and Golden Globe winner for her role in the 1990 TV-movie A Killing in a Small Town, will first appear as the queen’s mum, Cora, later this season, with the option of also having a short arc in Season 2 (if/when the fantastical drama conjures up a renewal this spring). |

Here is a bit more about Barbara Hershey's role as the Queen's mother. Click on the link for a sneak peek photo.   Keck's Exclusives: Meet the Once Upon a Time Queen's Mom Think Barbara Hershey was scary as the psycho mother of Natalie Portman in Black Swan? Just wait until you catch her debut as Cora, the mother of the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla), on the April 8 episode of ABC's Once Upon a Time. "Girls say they'll never grow up to be like their mothers, but evil comes from somewhere," says executive producer Edward Kitsis. "Cora would look at the mother from Black Swan and think she was weak." During Barbara's multi-episode arc, the series will flash back to show Snow White as a little girl and the Evil Queen as a young princess living with her fairy-tale family before her heart turned bitter cold. "You will finally find out why the Evil Queen hates Snow White," hints executive producer Adam Horowitz. Adds Edward, Cora has "an interesting connection to Rumpelstiltskin and an agenda she does not like to veer from." Her past "is just hinted at this year," he says. "But we have major plans for Cora in the future." http://www.tvguide.com/News/Kecks-Exclusives-Once-1044088.aspx Edited by MidnightRain, Mar 4 2012, 07:25 AM.
