Days is up one place from last week but only under 100,000. They should have had good ratings. but you know;) The article says Days had a good week and I don't know how these ratings work but being second to last place as a soap would suck. Considering they were last place last week and all. Edited by jtsahottie, Nov 28 2011, 07:02 PM.

I think one week of gains does nothing for Days, they need it to be ongoing and that is where they fail. Days managed to gain over 200K viewers the week of the reset, which wasn't even a sweeps week, but because of the fanfare, the vets and the press coverage for the reset they drew viewers back. So what happened 4 weeks later? They lost all of those 200K and then some....let's see how the ratings are in a month...Days is notorious for gaining 200K one week and losing the same amount the week after.... |

Its interesting that even while GH and Days both gained in viewers from last week and a year ago, both are suffering in their demos. That case in point proves that ABC's plan going forward sadly makes business sense as the Chew continues to gain viewers and soaps continue to lose younger viewers. Higleys Days and Guzas GH were sadly doing much better in the ever so important demos. Credit to B&B and OLTL for maintaining their demos. Y&R is just pitiful and deserves their crappy ratings |

I wonder if ABC wishes they had canceled GH instead of OLTL?? That show has really been rocking it lately!! |

I dont believe they care. ABC wants out of soaps and GH will go when KC's show starts. OLTL even if it was saved would have been gone at some point anyway. |

I pray to God they dont cancel GH. For the simple fact that I don't want KS back on "days". I abhored her version of Belle. So please, ABC, keep GH alive ---- if only to keep Kirsten Storms employed and off Days. |

Kirsten Storms is amazing as Maxie. Knocks it out of the park every episode. I do agree her Belle was annoying and not the best. I think she's gotten wayyyyyyy better since that time, but Belle and Maxie are like night and day. I don't even know if I could picture her as Belle anymore. |

I'm so glad that the Ej and Sami kiss brought in the ratings for Friday! NOT! As a friend of mine said " dead baby sex doesn't do it "! Losing over 100K viewers in one day speaks volumes for this S/l. |

No, it really doesn't say much at all. As has been discussed repeatedly - ratings aren't a reflection of any one couple/character. It's a reflection of the the quality of the show as a whole. Typically Fridays are the lowest ratings day. Mondays are generally the highest. But as Lysie pointed out in another thread, last Friday still rated better (more viewers) than every day the previous week: DAYS Week of 11/7 to 11/11 Monday: 1.7/2,321,000 Tuesday: 1.7/2,197,000 Wednesday: 1.8/2,294,000 Thursday: 1.7/2,323,000 Friday: 1.7/2,338,000 DAYS Daily Ratings Week of 11/14 to 11/18 Monday: 1.9/2,506,000 Tuesday: 1.8/2,350,000 Wednesday: 1.8/2,574,000 Thursday: 1.9/2,495,000 Friday: 1.7/2,340,000 So if these ratings indicate anything it's that this past week generated more viewer interest overall than the previous week. And that is progress. The key will be whether they can sustain it. Edited by SocRMum1, Nov 29 2011, 11:21 AM.
