It had been a wonderful evening and what I needed now, to give it the perfect ending, was a little of the Ludwig Van.

Well Steven already gave away that the judges will use their save tonight so who cares? |

Skylar and Hollie should've been in the bottom this week. I don't agree with who's in the bottom 3 this week at all. :shame: |

Joshua is safe. Elise is safe. Jessica Sanchez has to sing for her life. #NoPiaRepeatAI and of course she is safe. Edited by Zoe_Zeppelin, Apr 12 2012, 07:57 PM.

Wow, shocked about Joshua and Elize (especially since she went last). I figured Colton or Philip would be there and not Joshua. Wow. I bet Jessica is the one who goes. Stephen is so getting yelled at for spoiling they would use the save before the commercial break, even if it was obvious they would. |

That was one hell of a moment with the judges coming up there with her and saving her. That is who you use the save on! Best use of a save ever. That is why you save it for those who can win it. Good job, Idol! So glad they used it on a girl! |

I don't know how it's possible that Jessica got the least amount of votes last night. She's the best singer in the competition! They really should just end it now and give her the win. |

Jessica getting "voted out" was BEYOND fake and/or staged (w/out Jessica knowing) IMO! I was :eyeroll: . I think the producers just wanted the safe to be used and have it seem shocking! |

I don't think it was rigged. This was bound to happen. It does every season. We haven't had any big surprises yet, not even in the bottom 3. It had to happen sooner or later and, with only 7 left, it will probably happen with more regularity based on performance, performance order, judges' bias, etc. You wonder how Jessica could go. Well, how could Pia go? How could Melinda Dolittle go? How about Chris Daughtry? Jennifer Hudson? The list goes on. People get complacent in voting or they rebel against the judges or something rubs them the wrong way. Who knows? The only reason why I think Jessica had no reaction to any of it was because Stephen basically spoiled them using the save five minutes before. She knew she would be saved. Hell, I think they all knew the save would likely be used even before tonight's show and all the reports of a "surprise" tonight. They all seemed really relaxed for a results show so I think that is why they all seemed stress free. They assumed no one was going. It was the most anti-climactic results show ever but the best use of the save ever. Let the record show though that I pegged Jessica as the "shock" elimination weeks ago before top 13. She had it written all over her. I'm just glad they still had the save to use on her. Edited by PhoenixRising05, Apr 12 2012, 11:45 PM.

I know there's always a shocking elimination at this time but with all their emphasis on how the season is almost over, and the almost-total lack of buzz for anything this season beyond illnesses during Hollywood Week and some chick falling off the stage...I think they needed the press. I noticed that the other day when nobody's name popped up in the Yahoo listing of top searches like they did in past seasons after performance night. "American Idol save" is there now, though. And they definitely needed to show that they'd actually use the save to save one of the better singers if necessary to try and give some cred back to the show. I think TPTB also recognize that contestants need a journey to win. Ain't none of 'em really have one, though she might now because she can be the one who comes back from being voted out. I think it's possible she was legitimately towards the bottom- she's a minority female, after all. But it's really tough to buy what they're trying to sell. I guess we'll find out though, because saved singers don't usually last very long. |

I don't think it was rigged. I just think Jessica has an awful personality. #1. And #2, obviously girls are doing the voting. And they're voting for the boys. I think Jessica has an outstanding voice, but I just think she rubs people the wrong way. Colton, Elise, Philip final 3 please!! Edited by King, Apr 13 2012, 02:51 PM.

I agree with this point. There is something about her I just don't like. I don't think she is that great of a singer. To me she comes off as one of those singers that just yells as loud as they can and everyone thinks it is great. |

I think she's one of the best singers in the competition, but I just hope that her being voted off/having to be saved brings her down a few pegs. My hubby and I both feel that she thinks too highly of herself. She doesn't yet have enough experience in the music biz to be so diva-like. |

That is what bugs me about her. The last few weeks, with all the praise she is getting, more and more of the diva is coming out. For me it really has been the last couple of weeks that she has been starting to bother me. Might be too that we are down to so few contestants and we are actually getting a lot more performances with them (because of duets) than in past seasons I see it more. |

She bugs me too. She definitely has a good voice, but I don't think she is always great. I think she was the weakest during that performance with Joshua and Hollie. |
