Steven Tyler sounds like a dolt when he talks about things that have never happened in the history of Idol.

Tonight's group performance sucked.

I wish they handled the results like they did for last year's top 4 where they didn't drag it out and they spread the results out over the course of the hour.

David Cook was great. Loved the song.

Jennifer Lopez looked amazing!

It had been a wonderful evening and what I needed now, to give it the perfect ending, was a little of the Ludwig Van.

Jessica is safe. Not surprised at all.
Josh is safe also.

Well, I guess we know whose going home? Poor Hollie!

Did we really need the judges rambling on for 10 minutes about each contestant? Ugh.

Not wise leaving Philip out there until the end, Idol. Now his fans will think he is in trouble and vote even harder. Idiots.

I'd be surprised is Phillip was anything but safe. He has all those young fans/teen girls backing him. LOL! I'm just guessing that this is the end of the line for Hollie. Which kind of sucks because Hollie, unlike Jessica, is very humble.

I hate this. Ugh. He better go home next week. No way should Philip get in the finale over Jessica and Joshua.

There goes the dream of an all-girl finale.

Oh, glad Hollie is singing The Climb as her goodbye song. Her best performance, no doubt

Aww...look at Joshua. He's a mess. He lost both his BFF's over two weeks.

Jimmy needs to be a judge on this show. He is the only that gives honest feedback. Unfortunately it isn't always given directed to the contestant. I like his review of the performances on the results show in the recap.

So AI has really become what turned me off from X-Factor. The contestant performances is just a production number. Choirs, background singers on stage, crazy lights and fireworks. The singing almost gets lost in the whole production. A live concert I would expect to see a lot of that stuff but it doesn't come across the same on television. It was really moving that way the last few seasons especially last. On the finale performances I could even see it, but these weekly performances are just too over the top. JMO

And gotta love a performance from David Cook. Probably my favorite Idol of all time.

That's a really good point about Idol performances and the worst parts of the X-Factor. At least on Idol don't amplify the audience sound so it's 90% screaming the whole time.

Next year they should do an acoustic week. Or, like, a one-instrument-only week.

Sorry, Hollie. Hopefully you'll be like Carrie and blossom after time spent on the show.

I agree that Jimmy should be a judge. Steven should be replaced. He seems like a nice guy, but he sucks as a judge.

I am hoping for a Phillip and Joshua final 2 now.

I feel no sympathy for Joshua. Him and the fucking tears. Please! It's a competition. Stop with the croc tears!

It was definitely her time to go, although she was probably my second favorite.

Jessica will probably be next.

How come Philip hasn't been participating in the Ford music videos? I think I keep missing the reason why. It's weird not seeing him in the videos.

A while back they (producers and fellow Idol contenders) said it was because of the health issues he has with his kidneys. He underwent a painful procedure that keeps him from doing strenuous work.

Do health issues also cause his forehead vein to pop out when he sings? He seems to really strain to hit the few notes he incorporates into his typical vocals.

I was thinking about that article a few pages back about giving Idol a boost- I think they should start having the finale at Top 3 instead of Top 2. Seems like the simplest shift to maybe switch it up a bit.

Phillip and all of his lameness needs to go! The group performance of "California Dreamin'" was awful mostly because of him. He CAN'T sing and I am so offended to know that he's still there because of teen girls' fantasies. It would also be nice if this show remembered that the title of "American Idol" applies to more than just white dudes who can play guitars. Phillip winning this would make no sense to me for a variety of reasons.
