I didn't agree with Jeremy going home. It should've been Shannon.

How she managed to escape the bottom two, I'll never know.
She avoided it because she's one of the contestants whose been hyped since she first appeared and she's much better than what she was Wednesday night. She knew her performance was bad and her "no excuses" approach may have endeared her to fans. The song she performed she even sang better in her session with Jimmy. I think that made a difference, as well as the judges pointing out she was in trouble at the end of the show Wednesday. That rallied her fans. Frankly, I was shocked she was even in danger. There were other girls who were just as bad and/or hardly got any exposure, which means the audience is not familiar with them.

Also, for all we know, she was in the bottom two or three. Remember, they went with the whole bottom 3 girls and bottom 3 guys. We know she was in the bottom 2 girls so she may have been bottom 3 or 2 overall. Personally, I doubt it but it is possible because we didn't get a conventional bottom 3 this week.
What show were you watching...Shannon was the absolute worst by a country mile...the others girls didn't even come close to sucking as bad as she did.

She absolutely butchered "I have Nothing".

She is better than how she sang, but lets call her performance was it was...PURE SHIT!
I'm not disputing she was bad but I thought Elise was terrible too. She came out with a defeated attitude in her performance and didn't even try. I also thought Erika was pretty damn mediocre. The ending of her performance was solid but the first half and middle made it hard to tell what exactly she was singing. Her tone makes it hard to enunciate, much like Jermaine, so her performances always come off worse than they should for me. I like her though.

Elise is the one I have an issue with. I get she had a song in mind and Jimmy and Mary made her change it but they were right to make her change it. It was clear there wasn't any one song that would work for her given the theme though. I just think her performance would've been better if she hadn't come out there and acted like she was going to fail. If she had a better attitude, I think she would've done better even if the song didn't suit her. THEN, I would've said she was better than Shannon but, for me, they were even. At least Shannon tried, knew she messed up, and didn't make excuses. She also has more upside than Elise IMO.

Sorry Phoenix but Elise >>>>> Shannon

Elise was not that bad in her performance, it was not great, but it was NO WHERE near as bad as Shannon.

Her defeated attitude in her performance didn't bother you at all? I was a fan of her's and that turned me off BIG time. Shannon was terrible and while Elise did sing better, she negated that fact for me with her attitude. I suppose that is why I felt differently than you.

I guess I'm just going to be in the minority on this board when it comes to Shannon, much like I was with Haley last year (not that I think Shannon is as good as Haley or anything).

I think this is going to be a good American Idol Season and I do think the right contestant was sent home. He was a lovely guy but not startling vocally. I don't think Shannon will be around for too many weeks. My favourite performer was Skylar. I also liked Philip.

Well to be honest, her defeated attitude showed up after she was pretty much forced into changing her song and then when the judges panned her...plus she was the 2nd singer of the night...it all screamed "Screw Job" to me...and I think she knew that as well.

That being said, I certainly hope her attitude changes and she is given a chance to shine, because she is truly one of the best singers in this competition among the girls.

As for Haley...wow this place had it so epically wrong about her last year it was laughable. Haley was the best singer last year by a fucken mile, so totally agree with you there!

Apprently it is Jermaine Jones who is being kicked off.

He is the "gentle" giant.

Heard it on KTLA

Jermaine already was caught in a lie about being estranged from his father. Wow it was a lot bigger than that. TFP

There was something about Jermaine that always seemed a little strange to me, just the way he reacted to people when they were talking to him, etc. I'm surprised but kinda not surprised with this news!

Good news. I never understood why the judges brought him back in the first place. He would never sell albums in today's market. Plus, he always seemed like a bit of an asshole.

I bet that Eben kid is pissed. He probably would've made it to the Top 13 if it weren't for Jermaine coming back a few weeks ago, LoL.

Has there been any word on Jeremy Rosado coming back now that there's an open slot?

I am glad too. I never understood why they brought him back either; he didn't have a chance at winning. It was a waste of time.

I had a feeling he wasn't as sweet as they acted like he was. I didn't like his attitude last week.

I think they brought him back because Jimmy liked him. Jimmy was pretty supportive of him last week. The judges didn't seem to care for him. They looked shocked the public voted for him over Eben.

His attitude was always weird to me. Sometimes he came off likable and other times there was a hint of arrogance and shiftiness. Last week, he never acknowledged anyone still up for elimination when he was saved, which wasn't nice IMO, and none of those safe on the couches greeted him when he joined them last week so that made me think he wasn't well liked.

I, too, wonder if they may bring someone back to replace him. Maybe they will invite someone back based on the votes. I could see them bringing back Jeremy. I don't think they can justify bringing back Eben because that was two weeks ago (I'm pretty sure they will change the rules and allow him back next season anyway).

It's been awhile since we had something like this happen. Wasn't it like season 2 the last time this happened? Crazy! Plus, they are going to apparently show the producers confronting him on the show tomorrow! Talk about a way to drum up ratings and attention. They've never done that before. Should be interesting.

Heck, I'll tune in for this little bit of drama. I hope they don't bring anyone back. For me it'd be more interesting if they had a week where everyone got a pass- and knew up front it was more of a showcase week.

They should just not have an elimination week when it gets down to the final four or five and have both weeks' votes go towards the second week's elimination.

Yeah but if they did that they would lose viewers because people simply aren't going to stay tuned in for a week that doesn't feature an elimination. If they don't bring anyone back, I expect them to act like they are going to eliminate someone only to "surprise" everyone tomorrow and not send anyone home.

I wouldn't bring anyone back either, to be honest, I thought last week they would've did a double elimination as that is what they did last year top 13 week. I guess they built in an extra week this season so they only have to cut a person per week so they didn't do a double elimination.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelll!!! It just goes to show that you should never tell lies. I gave up lying when I was about 8 years old mainly because when you lie as I discovered the hard way as a child, that 99% of the time you will almost always get caught. Silly Jermaine, he has blown a huge oppurtunity and he is now in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
