This week escalading tension with Sami pushes Rafe closer to Carrie. “Rafe feels like he can’t please Sami,” asserts Galen Gering (Rafe). “At the same time he is starting to see the qualities that he first liked in Sami in her sister, Carrie.” Things got rockier for the couple when Sami confides to Rafe that she is working for Kate so that she can pass on information to Madison. “It doesn’t make any sense to Rafe why Sami is being a (mole),” shares Gering. “She had a good job with Madison. Is what she doing really worth it? Rafe also doesn’t like seeing this side of Sami’s personality, that she’s being deceitful and lying. It’s a side that he wishes would go away.” Rafe is also wary that arguments about work are becoming all too familiar. “Sami wanted Rafe to get a job,” recounts Gering. “He felt inadequate because he didn’t have one. Then, he finally got a job and Sami started harping on him because the job is with his sister. Rafe feels like he has always been evaluated by Sami.” At the same time, Carrie and Austin are also having problems. They try to find time in their schedule for a date, but Carrie is swamped with work. Meanwhile, Austin snipes that Rafe sees more of Carrie then he does. At the office, Carrie and Rafe are busy working to clear a boy charged with arson when Sami phones her husband. He cuts the conversation short, claiming that he has to focus on work. Finally, Carrie and Rafe uncover new evidence to help their client and the DA announces that he is dropping the arson case. Carrie and Rafe are so elated they share a spontaneous hug. Later, Rafe turns his attention to planning Sydney’s upcoming birthday party. Carrie chips in and the bond within the two grows stronger. At the last minute, Rafe receives a call that the two actors he hired to play Sydney’s favorites characters, a prince and princess, won’t be able to make the party. Not wanting to disappoint Sydney, Rafe and Carrie dress up as the prince and princess. Kayla reminds them that the prince and princess perform a ballroom dance, so Rafe and Carrie quickly begin rehearsing, but the romantic dance causes sparks to erupt between Rafe and Carrie. “Rafe is a stand up guy,” notes Gering. “He is loyal to his wife and loves her, so it’s definitely weird for him that these feelings are coming up.” Credit Second Chances http://secondchanceslumi.com/topic/6688154/1/ |

Adorable!!!!  :sarcasm: LOL at Carrie being 'swamped with work'. Seriously, though...it's pretty funny to see that Rafe's decree of accepting Sami for who she really is really doesn't count when she's being who she always was. It's sort of fitting that as soon as Sami stops trying to be Carrie Rafe suddenly finds himself interested in the real deal. |

At least the birthday party thing is more creative than the "It's getting hot in here, so take off all you clothes" cliche. I hope these two don't have an affair before the "Ejami" romp secret comes out, because I want EJ and Sami to look BAD. |

I thought this was pretty interesting.
Sami is deceitful and lying, that is who she is. That isn't going away, bro. She has been hiding that for the most part while being with him for some time but now that her true (and IMO awesome) colors are starting to re-appear, things are hitting the skids. And at the same time, the qualities he saw in Sami initially he starts to see in Carrie. Coincidence, I think not!! Looks like that good girl routine is coming to an end and Safe might be going in the same direction. Edited by JamaicanBeauty7, Jan 19 2012, 03:47 PM.

This is a WTF interview. Since when has Sami been harping on Rafe about working with Carrie? Wasn't it just the other day that Carrie, Rafe, Bo, and Hope were in the Brady Pub talking about how Sami is ok with them working together? Haven't Carrie and Rafe talked about how she is ok with it and they can't believe it? Now, we read she has been harping on Rafe about working with Carrie? I sure must have missed that. I don't ever recall Sami making Rafe feel inadequate because he didn't have a job. Rafe may have felt inadequate, but wasn't Sami telling him it was Ok, that he would find something soon and not to worry about it? Rafe has always been evaluated by Sami? Where did that come from all of a sudden? If anything, Rafe evaluated Sami at the beginning of their relationship. Rafe has known since he beginning that Sami was deceitful. Didn't she hide her pregnancy from EJ? Didn't she constantly try to sneak out of the safehouse? Didn't she shoot EJ in the head and cover it up? He didn't seem to have a problem with it then, but now he doesn't like her being deceitful? I get where all this is heading and why they are doing it, but come on, Mardar, at least make this true to history. None of this makes any sense with the history of the two characters together. Not only has he known about her lying and scheming, he's lied and schemed right along with her i.e. Grace and later hiding the fact that she shot EJ. MarDar can't write their way out a paper bag. Edited by Jnta, Jan 19 2012, 04:34 PM.

I don't like using the word "retarded" to describe something, but in this case it fits. This is retarded. |

I hate that term, too, but I don't know of a better way to describe it. I am a big fan of Rafe and GG, and I generally like his interviews, but this one is just off the wall. I know these scenes were filmed in late October or early November, so maybe he forgot what he filmed, or rewrites were done because none of what he said fits what we are seeing on our screens. It just simply hasn't been and isn't there. |

Mardar are horrible writers. Do they think we as an audience are so stupid as to not remember what happened two or three years ago? If you are going to write a story, Mardar, at least make it believable. |
