The two express disappointment over their failed marriage
I'm pretty sure this is meant to say "marriages", not marriage, which would actually make sense. Daniel reflecting on his failed marriage to Chloe, and Jennifer to Jack's. Daniel should just leave. He screwed most of the women on the show, enough already. NO ONE will be missing him, and NO ONE would be torn between him and Jack. The character is a joke, not rootable, overplayed and non-essential. I have nothing against SC, and he's a nice guy and all, but his character has been ruined beyond repair by all the writers. So true. I am not a hater. I just don't fucking CARE! Big difference. Hater=watching. Indifferent=shit ratings and unemployment. I will read the day ahead summaries but rarely watch. Probably won't tune in til next Thursday for the veterans epi.

I suspect that MR is getting paid extra to sabotage JnJ. This whole mess is utterly, absolutely, unfathomably, bizarre!!

She is an utter fool to sabotage the pairing that put her on the map in the first place. Especially for a bland, boring, superficial pairing like Dannifer which has neither depth nor substance.

I really hope that at some point in the next few months there will be a few scenes (or even one) where Jack scrEAms at the top of his lungs at Jen. Those moments always give me shivers down my spine...and without fail make Jen/MR(..and me) spontaneously burst into tears. (love it!) But with a kinder, gentler Jack this may just be a pipe dream.

Kinder, gentler my ass. He's holding everything in. Remember Marlena suggesting a journal as an outlet for his emotions? He rejected the idea. As it stands his emotions have no outlet. They're just going to keep on building. And when he sees that changing himself for Jennifer was never the answer and that problems within their relationship weren't solely his, he's going to give up the ghost. That's why I want Nicole to interact with Jack because if anyone can paint an accurate picture of Jennifer to Jack it's Nicole.

Ok, I could see Nicole as a go-between (like an "Eve") but definitely no flirtation between Jack & Nicole, yuk. But Nic would need to be getting something out of interacting with Jack. And if it's fir the sake of the election then hopefully that would mean Jack would also be getting involved in the election (ie: Jen's political savvy mentor). I hope you're right about the pent up anger and Jack eventually unleashes like a freakin' volcano in the presence of Jen. (but if it's in therapy, she'll never see or know).

Actually I wouldn't mind it if Nicole and Jack got involved romantically. A little revenge sex after the truth comes about Sami/EJ. Jennifer needs to see Jack moving on with his life. I don't want Jack helping her anymore. She made her bed, she is more than welcome to lie in it.

But what if she tearfully begs him to help her with the election/another mess she's gotten herself into? He can still push her away and help her at the same time. ( I would honestly prefer Jack take a vow of celibacy before batting his eyes at Nicole.)

I don't know, he's pretty much been celibate for the last 20 years (except for vanilla sex with the ice queen in between her scummy boyfriends) and I don't think it's served him well. Maybe he needs to wet his beak, so to speak. LOL

( I would honestly prefer Jack take a vow of celibacy before batting his eyes at Nicole.) Jack has been loyal to her for 20 years and with the exception of Laura (wish was erased from Days' history) he has not had sex with anyone other than Jennifer. And what has that gotten him? How many times has she slept with other men? I love the fact that Jack is loyal to one woman. Not even Bo can say that. However, I wouldn't mind if he finally gave it up. Enough is enough.

A one-way ticket, please!! For Dr. Daniel Jonas. Where you say??? To Afghanistan, so he can confirm that Jack was really where he said he was. Dr. D is such a non-believer and it would do him good to endure a little torture, maybe is will magical cure his hand tremors.

What about the fake Jennifer - Madison? (no not the current one LOL) :tounge:
One thing you can definitely say about Jack is he knows how to go for loooong periods being celibate. Over a year now..last time back it was 2 years and then another 1+ years before the incident I mentioned above. I love it about him and I also hate that it restricts him getting new relationships while Jennifer's going through her latest replacement phase.
I have no clue why Missy or this show is trying to pass Dannifer off as true love - maybe they think it looks better if Jennifer loves this guy rather than admitting she just jumped into bed with someone she barely knew and this was nothing more than a superficial rebound.

Because much as I dislike Doucheman, I did think he'd opened his teeny mind enough to acknowledge that Jack was telling the truth about where he'd been last year. Unless he believes the U.S. Embassy would go to all this trouble to cover up the true whereabouts of one investigative journalist.

I canīt wait till SC decides to leave or the show pairs Daniel with someone else and Missy is all "but, but they still love each other. Daniel just feels hurt and needs time but there is still a chance for their love to win at the end." She sounds more and more like a delusional fangirl with each interview.
You reminded me that Rachel Melvin alienated some Chick fans with what appeared to be a clear preference in her comments for Chan and working with SC. Most (though, admittedly, not all) fans can understand when an actress is merely selling story when she's the unfortunate one stuck having to defend a triangle or, in Chan's case, an uncompelling and frankly gross IMO story about a young girl and an aging surfer dude twice her age. But it's when you can see the actress appearing to really have a preference that fans get upset. And, I wonder what it is about SC that brings this out, or at least, has brought it out twice. It particularly surprises me with Missy. I don't doubt that SC is a delightful co-worker but I just can't see that any of Daniel's stories have done his love interests any favors, ever. Chelsea got cheated on by him with her granny, Kate went homicidal after Daniel fell in love with Chloe, Chloe became a suicidally depressed hooker after Daniel dumped her FOR CHEATING HOW DARE SHE . . . I mean, what does Jennifer have to look forward to? Hopefully ending up in a body bag at the bottom of the Salem River...I am DONE with this bitch!

No, but Daniel does tell Jen that he is going to head to Australia, the place where Jack was suppose go. A very strange comment, I thought, so I just surmised that those that say they are going on walkabouts in Australia, really use it as an excuse and end up going somewhere else. Afghanistan came to mind b/c I don't think Daniel trusts Jack. Who knows where the SL is going.
