So wait, is it really going to take until next Thursday for Hope to turn the key in that damn saftey deposit box? Is it really that big of a secret that it gets to wait that long for the reveal, especially after we spent all this past week discussing it and the key?
Lawdy Lawd!

It would be ideal if EJ would tell Nicole that he is blackmailing Will for shooting him years ago while she was away, and the only reason he resorted to that was because Will witnessed his beastsex and threatened him with it. Two birds, one stone/reveal...and all is well.

LMAO that Sami ruins Sydney's party! Go Sydole!!!! ;)

National Enquirer Spoilers
-Jen forbids Abby to model for Madison.

Good Spoiler!!
Jennifer is finally going to start parenting, now that Dr. D has left town.
This doesn't sound like it is going to go so well. The use of the word 'forbid' tells us all we need to know.
KM is a beautiful girl and I would much rather see her model, over both, Gabi & Melanie.

If Abigail is a legal adult, how can Jen-Jen "forbid" her to model? Not that I think Abigail's going to let her mother's disapproval stop her. I'm just sorry TPTB are taking such a superficial approach to the character. What happened to the young woman with the hots for journalism, who just won an award?

I wonder if Abigail is now going to play her parents against each other, to get what she wants. Or whether Jack and Jennifer will actually find themselves on the same side of an issue for a change.

Abby may be old enough to make her own decisions, but knowing Jennifer takes issue with something she's going to do will still play a part in her decision. I am extremely close to both of my parents, I'm 35 years old, if they tell me they are against me doing something it still plays a part in my decision. Not to mention Jennifer is still paying for the roof over her head, the school she's going to and the food she eats....so Jennifer has a leg to stand on with telling her absolutely not. Forbidding it is a little extreme, but this is Jennifer we're talking about and lately she doesn't know how to tone it down.

That being said, Abby is also still young and seems to be interested in lots of different things. I don't expect her to be gung ho for journalism and have that be the end of it. They seem to be taking an over achiever stance with her....just another way to make it harder for Austin to say she's lying when/if it comes out something went on between them.

If anything, this is the start of the rift between Jennifer and Abby. I need for Abby to recognize that her mother isn't the paragon of virtue she portrays herself to be. And since I don't necessarily think anything would happen that would knock Jennifer off her high horse, having her relationship with her daughter start to falter would be an excellent way to get her off of it.

Other spoilers say that EJ walks in on Abe switching the questions. Assuming it's not a fakeout and EJ realizes what Abe's doing, that could be the start of Abby becoming disenchanted with her mother's alleged high moral profile. I could see the old "you can't tell me what to do with my life and what's right and what's wrong, look what you did" argument.

Since "playing dirty" doesn't come naturally to Abe or Jennifer, I fully expect them to get caught, and for there to be unpleasant repercussions for both of them. At least, I hope that's how it plays out. Falls from grace can make for good drama, and Abe is kind of bland these days, while I honestly can't stand this version of Jennifer. Seeing her tumble from her high horse would be especially satisfying. Abigail defying her and throwing her mistakes in her face should only be the start of it.

Of course it's BS. That's b/c these writers wouldn't know a romance if it came up and bit them in the ass. All they do is write sleazy sex scenes with porn music and we're supposed to consider it a romance.

Then regarding the Ej/Nicole confession. I actually think that this is where that Chandler interview quote about Ej blackmailing Will because he finds out he's gay comes in. What if EJ tells Nicole that he's blackmailing Will, and when Nicole asks why and instead of stating that he's doing it because Will shot him, he says that Will is gay and that is why he's doing it. I wonder how Nicole is going to act regarding that.
That doesn't make any sense to me. Why would he confess he's blackmailing Will over his sexuality when he's got a lot more excuses when it comes to the shooting? He can try to spin the blackmail as not being that bad because whatever he's making Will do isn't as bad as shooting an unarmed man in the back. He can point out that Will is his children's half brother and he doesn't want to traumatize them further than they already have been their entire lives (because of him, mostly) by having Will locked up. He can sell it as a way to have Will repay a debt by lending the Horton name (and how many times has Nicole called him "Will Horton?" I'm getting "Chad and Madeline Peterson Woods" flashbacks) to a DiMera campaign, and that if Stefano knew the truth he'd not stop until Will was destroyed, again traumatizing the children.

As opposed to, "I'm blackmailing Will because he doesn't want anyone to find out he's gay." That one leads nowhere except, "Really? Isn't it 2012?" There's zero sympathy factor for him if he does that whereas Nicole can soothe him over the fact that with the shooting incident, he was the victim (of that isolated incident, I'm not arguing it wasn't understandable given everything EJ had done to Sami and the rest of her family). She'll be guaranteed to be on his side in a way that telling her Will's really gay just doesn't do it.

I'm sticking with the choice that Will tells Sami what he saw. I think they're saving the shooting reveal for when Lucas shows back up. Of Will's three secrets, the zombiesex is the one that requires Lucas's presence the least. Sami can start thinking--like Marlena already does--that Will is working for EJ to punish her for being a selfish bitch. I'd expect Lucas to be the one to crack the code as to the real reasons Will is working for EJ.
Yeah, I know it doesn't make sense but what was the last time anything 'truly' made sense on this show? I was just trying to figure out where Chandler would get that quote and make it seem so specific unless he was instructed to say that to not spill the real reason of the blackmail until SOD wrote it up in their weekly spoiler article, which was the first time we heard of it. But you are right, it makes more sense for Ej to tell her that he's blackmailing Will because he found out Will shot him. Now I wonder if he'll tell how long he's known about it and why he chose NOW to do it. Obviously I don't expect the latter from Ej to Nicole yet. But I have to say, that this story can be huge if they play it right. Obviously I expect so little of Days these days that I expect them to fuck it up.

I think Chandler was instructed to say half of the blackmail reasons since the interview with TV Guide dealt with Will's coming out story. He kept secret the shooting part.

On the Friday January 13 episode EJ said to Will at the pub "Why don't you think of our arrangement as an apology for shooting me in the back all of those years ago. All these little tasks that I'm giving you, you can think of that as your gift to me so that I keep my mouth shut about that, and your other questionable behavior"

With that line EJ threatened Will to reveal his "other questionable behavior" which means he indeed is blackmailing him for his sexuality in addition of the shooting.

I was watching some old clips last night of Abby and Jennifer when Jennifer was going to marry Frankie. Abby pretty much spends every scene calling her mom a slut, hypocrite and/or horrible mother, so I doubt Abby thinks of her mom as a paragon of virtue. I actually really enjoyed those scenes. I'm sure at the time I probably thought Abby was understandably upset that her dad died but a complete brat for talking to her mother like that but last night I was thinking she gave it to Jennifer better than Nicole, Sami or Eve! I agree that this is probably a way to put a rift between Jennifer and Abigail to further her relationship with Austin although completely unnecessary. They already have Jennifer in the middle of a "heated" election :sarcasm: plus dealing with the man of her dreams leaving, her dad is dealing with PTSD and essentially hiding it from her (at least I think she doesn't know), she broke up with her boyfriend and her best friends are fighting over her sloppy seconds so I would say Austin is her only source of comfort and stability right now, at least in her eyes.

Jennifer forbidding someone she loves from following up on a possibly life changing opportunity, yeah that sounds about right.

Not even close. They used the same formula with Bradison that Higley used with Dannifer. The end result is the same - epic failure.

Yeah, the show's pretty disappointing. They hosed the story I care about and haven't grabbed me with anything else. I want these new writers to be better than Higley, but I'm afraid they're not.
