Call me crazy but I don't get what's so bad about promoting methods for helping people keep their animals a healthy weight. Our dog just went through a 2 month heartworm treatment where he had to be inactive the entire time. As a result of inactivity he gained quite a bit of weight and we now are working with his vet to try and get him back to a healthy weight - and it's not easy especially with it being winter and his activity outside being limited. I don't want him to be a supermodel but I do want him to be healthy - that is what the site is promoting.

Would this seriously be such a negative thing if anyone else but Ali was promoting it?
Probably not, but AS is such a pathetic fame whore that it's hard not to take pot shots at her and her latest stupid project.

Wait she is doing a chat on the 26? Guess she wasnt soo busy after all. ;) Just certain people she dont want to talk to. Pimping dog food is more important than interacting with fans. :eyeroll:
Especially when money is involved. One pays, the other doesn't. ;)

While I can only speak for myself, my answer to your question is "no." It is not a negative thing just because it's AS that's promoting this diet. I am a dog owner myself, and I will do anything to keep my miniature dachshund healthy, since I consider her to be as much a part of my family as I would my daughter or sister. However, what I am saying is that this whole notion of a "doggy diet" is ridiculous. Science Diet and "PetFit.com" is not the key to keeping a healthy dog. The responsibility lies with the owner, since the owner is the one responsible for their pet's diet and well-being. The point is, I have the same problem with AS as I do with any other "weight loss expert" (whether they are talking about humans or their kanine couterparts) who try to bank money off of advice which is pretty much common knowledge. As far as I'm concerned, it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that AS is the one promoting this diet. The Dalai Lama could be promoting this diet, and I would still laugh at it.

Interesting, that not so long ago, AS tweeted pics and info about her family, her kids, vacations, even Days, etc. Now all she ever really tweets about are projects, interviews, etc. that have to do with her career. Things that scream "HEY LOOK AT ME"!

Thank you for all the kind words regarding Days. I was off for a short hiatus. I'll be back causing more mischief and mayhem soon.

I'm glad he's coming back and looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Personally I really dislike when actors use their twitter to promote any product. We know they are paid for it, they know we know they are paid for it yet everybody pretends itīs completely spontaneus they constantly mention some dog diet or that stupid Wii get slim quick game. And Ali is the worst, thatīs why I stopped following her months ago.

Actually, I use the Wii fit plus and occasionally mention it on Facebook, and it's not a get slim quick game.

Not to put words in Jane's mouth, but I think the issue with the Wii fit as related to Ali is that Ali was being paid to endorse the Wii fit. She tweeted incessantly about going to the gym, doing the world's hardest spin classes, working out with Jillian Michaels, etc. And then all of a sudden there were these "spontaneous" tweets about her amazing weight loss with the Wii fit. We knew where her weight loss was from! Maybe a fraction of it was from the Wii fit, but most of it was from her sweat-drenching workouts at the gym. Not to say you can't lose the weight with a Wii fit, but she didn't, and her tweets came off as even more disingenuous because of it.

I do agree with not being a fan of actors using Twitter to spam us with paid advertisements. AS does it quite a lot and now unfortunately so does AZ. It seems like 90% of her tweets are related to whatever health venture she's taken on with her husband and Jason Cook (I think). Lisa Rinna used to do it quite a lot to promote her store(s) but now that they're closing I haven't seen that as much.

As aggravating as Molly Burnett can be at least her tweets are of a more personal nature. I love Lauren Koslow's tweets - even if she's blowing smoke up our asses about the great things coming on the show. You get a sense that she really enjoys interacting with fans and it's funny to think of "Kate" living on a farm with peacocks and chickens.
