IDK if Jennifer's lying, but I've seen nothing on screen to back that up. I'm not sure why reporter ethics would be a big deal here, lol. Bad ethics is kind of the point of the story. The DiMeras could try to call out the reporter, but they made the first unethical move.
Not the DiMeras call him or her out. But some other, ethical organization or entity. Maybe Abby herself! (Oh wait -- that would be a character driven story...)
Right. But what would the point be? Unless someone is going to out all three of them, it'd be kind of dumb to just out a random reporter they didn't even bother to cast. The bigger transgressors are the people running for mayor.
But that's the point: DiMeras get the questions before the debate > Abby finds out > Abby writes Spectator article on the bombshell > People learn EJ is corrupt > EJ isn't named the mayor.

Granted, I want EJ to be the mayor, but I just proved how character driven storytelling could have helped wrap this up.

Note to Julie: It's SAFE deposit box.
You're an IDIOT for saying "safety deposit box" on the show.
(Or should I say that Susan Seaforth Hayes is to blame? Can anyone confirm whether it was a writer's or actor's error?)

Lol. Yes, that makes sense. But that's nothing like what you said in the first post. I think something like what you're describing is what will eventually happen. It'll just happen much faster and it may happen after he's elected.
