Gone, But Not Forgotten!

I don't see it that way. In very recent epis, Victor and Maggie discuss having Philip takeover as CEO, but it was noted that he is busy managing things in Chicago and being a father to his son. Even if Philip was being groomed in years past, it makes sense that things have changed and his interest may not be the same. In the same epi, Maggie brings up BO, Victors other son and Maggie suggests that Victor should at least ask him. This hasn't happened yet and with Bo's new job overseeing the crime task force, it's probably going to be a no go. IMO, TPTB did a good job at covering this issue and addressed it with believable dialogue. Since TPTB choose Lucas to come back, having him take over as CEO of Titan makes complete sense. For Philip fans, they'll have to wait until the next shake-up. Thems the brakes!! |

I agree that Rafe is being written totally out of character. If we would have had some build up to today's attitude over the past few weeks, I could maybe begin to understand it, but we haven't. Rafe has always stuck by Sami no matter what crazy scheme she has had going and how dumb she acted, but now he doesn't want her to act like that? He has known her for over 3 years and met her when she had just drugged Hilda-- he knows how she is. Rafe telling Sami what she was doing was illegal-- really? So was shooting EJ, which he helped her cover up, but that never seemed to bother him. I am all for full disclosure, too. So when is Rafe going to disclose to Sami about Carrie and him in the office with their shirts off and her rubbing her chest seductively with ice? The writers have made a mess of his character and for what? So he can sleep with her sister? Dumb plot point writing. Edited by magicsteacher, Jan 24 2012, 09:23 PM.

Maybe Rafe's just finally tired of dealing with Sami's crap. |

If that was the case there should have been buildup but there has been nothing to indicate he had any problems other than not being happy about her job with Kate which he got over. This is plot at its lamest form. Edited by Helpless Romantic, Jan 24 2012, 10:02 PM.

Exactly. There hasn't been anything to indicate that Rafe has had any problem with her and what she has done. Rafe even told her he was happy that her job with Kate was working out. Changing a character is one thing, but doing it all of a sudden, on a dime, isn't believable and it's lazy plot point writing. |

I didn't see anything hot about it. Two dull characters posing. |

Some of those pictures are hot. Camila Banus is the first person other than Chandler Massey I've seen CD have at least some sexual chemistry with. It won't end well because of course, Chad's heart like all men's hearts belongs to the achingly sexy Pippi Longstocking and Gabi will be driven mad--MAD--by her inability to compete with that kind of maneating irresistibility, but maybe there will be interesting moments along the way. The ones that don't involve Melanie have a chance at being that way. |

I love Sami's hairdo... just not on Sami. It looks horrible on her, but the hairdo itself is cute. It'd be cute on some young, cute, hip fashionista, but it is not cute on AS. Will/Marlena is love. |

My apologies because this is slightly off topic, but I had the same question regarding Abigail and financial aid/work study programs. I should be as poor as the Devereauxs and still receive financial aid for my children to go to school. Soaps were traditionally centered around wealthier families. Why is everyone so destitute all of a sudden? |

I would love for Lucas to be the CEO of Titan and then he somehow keeps Madison and rehires Sami at MadWorld. There is just something too delicious about the potential rivalry with Kate's son running Titan and having Madison and Sami as subordinates. Oh the last time that Sami worked for Lucas was just sooo good! Remember this? I love the idea of Lucas being the new Titan CEO, Billie and Kate teaming up against him, family rivalry? YEAH! If by chance Sami does end up working for Lucas at Titan, boy they can do some nice reminiscing? Dear PTB, Please bring back the Titan photo lab set again? Even if it's a made to look like the photo lab set. You can throw in the conference room for the Jarlena fans too ;) Thanks, I promise I'll watch faithfully if you make that happen. I'm loyal like that you know...and yeah, I'd watch Dr. Orangeass and his daughter if need be. True commitment here! Regards, Luvinglumi Make it happen Days! LOL So Sami wants to FedEx Allie to Hong Kong. Poor Allie inside a fixed-rate shipping box cause that's what her mother could afford. |

It has been mentioned that both Jack and Jennifer have no money. Not in the same epi or anything, just part of their storyline stuff. Jack and Jen were broke years ago. Jack doen't have his Deveraux fortune. I guess they never made huge $$ doing regular jobs, so with Jack out of work for a year, and Jennifer leaving her job behind when coming back to Salem, we can see that Abi has no access to family money. I guess Jen could ask her Dad, but is probably embarassed to ask for more handouts. Bill gave them a JnJ house in the early years of their marraige, and when coming back from Africa, Jen rented a house I believe ( she had a job, editor of the spectator). JnJ are regular folk these days, long gone are the days of Sheldon and Jack's limo. Edited by Dreamer, Jan 25 2012, 02:16 PM.

Thanks, Dreamer, I stand corrected. Obviously, too, with all the Alice secrets, she left no money to her grandchildren. LOL. |

Sami's head looks like she's wearing one of those big puffy hats the little Strawberry Shortcake dolls used to wear back in the day. All that greasy, limp, longish hair on Chad was giving me flashbacks to Tanner Scofield. Not a good thing. Whoever mentioned all the blue ribbons on Madison's dress, I thought the EXACT same thing while watching the show. It's like she got hijacked by a rabid farmer at the county fair. I can't honestly say that I gave a rat's ass about any storyline today other than Will/Marlena/Sonny. It really does seem like that one storyline is written by a COMPLETELY different writer. I found it funny that muffins and "opportunities of a lifetime" were the topics of conversation in TWO completely unrelated scenes. Fail. So Marlena insists that she had a toy as a girl where you baked cakes in a pretend oven with a light blub... Um, I don't think so. The Easy Bake Oven didn't come out until 1963. If you want me to believe that Marlena was a little girl in 1963, I've got some swamp land in Florida to sell you. An Easy Bake Stone Hearth, MAYBE...? And Kate hired a stylist based on Sami's recommendation? I know that Kate always looks a HOT MESS (although today was the best I've seen her look in eons, not that the bar was set very high, of course), but has Kate actually SEEN Sami?! Today's episode was directed by producer Albert Alarr from an uncharacteristically weak & lackluster script from Janet Iacobuzio. |
