I have a feeling that since the secret involving Hope/John is not that serious and can easily be fixed that the secret involving Stefano will be something far worse for him. Looking back on it and hearing Stefano telling Bo/Hope that the secret would destroy them and their family I am thinking that Stefano was just saying that because he is afraid of what his secret is and that he is thinking that the secret will destroy him and cost him to lose something or someone so he was trying to scare Hope/Bo into walking away from it all so no one would know just how bad his own secret is. Stefano was making it seem like the secret involving Hope was just something so horrible that they would regret it if they ever knew but it is not as serious as Stefano made it seem.

But Stefano's secret we do not know what that is or how serious it is or who will be affected by it. I believe that Stefano's secret is the bombshell of the secrets. He is afraid of what his envelope will reveal so he was trying to make Hope/Bo stop this whole thing before anyone found out his secret. Maybe Stefano has an idea of what Alice has on him and he does not want anyone to know what that is.

I think that Stefano knows that his secret is the one that will destroy lives, possibly his own? Since the secret involving Hope/John is not so tragic I am thinking that Stefano's will be EXPLOSIVE (for him) or at least have a lot more impact than the other secret.

I am wondering how long it will be before we find out what is in Stefano's envelope will they tell us right off when he opens it or will we have to wait and find out what it is when the rest of Salem finds out what it is? Since it seems like the secret will have impact on Stefano and scare him I do not think he will be telling anyone anytime soon what it is.

:eyeroll: Johna and Hope were secretly married long ago. How stupid.

Lets put it this way. I am happily married right now. If I found out today I got married to an ex in Vegas, during a random drunken night in college. I would head straight to a lawyer, get divorced and then onto City Hall to get a quicky, legal marriage to my hubs.

Technically, all this "secret" should do is create some paperwork hassle

I think he'll open his envelope and it will be his first unemployment check!! We've all read that he wants to retire...TPTB just pulled a few strings to get the ball rolling before sweeps day! :headbang:

Exactly. It's so stupid. I don't see why John and Hope have to go undercover or how this leads to any kind of story. I don't even see how that marriage would be valid since whatever Hope did as Gina would be under mind control.

So it's true? John and Hope are married? Ew.
Double ewwwwww! Can't figure out why Days wants to revisit this in any way. Just a total turn off.
The minute I read that this was the secret I was turned off. It's revolting! :puke:
I hope the writers turn this around because right now this turns me off the show.
It makes me feel like Bo and Hope's lives together have been for nothing.
All the beautiful Bo and Hope memories are now tarnished by this.
Same with the Jarlena memories.
Kristian is supposed to be selling a replica of Hope's ring from Bo soon.
How is she going to do that when Hope's ring is now tainted by this?
This whole secrets sl is horrible and disgusting!
I won't be watching this travesty!

Guys, Sami didn't fake sleeping with Austin. Austin and Sami did have sex. She drugged him and he thought she was Carrie. But she did not lie about the sex.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure everyone (who's been watching for long enough) remembers the grossness of what happened with Sami and Austin. (It is one of those scenes that I wish I had brain bleach to wash it away.)

The similarity between the two situations is that both times Austin was out of it (drugged the first time, drunk the second) and didn't remember what had actually happened. My memory is very hazy on this point though - I thought that Sami lied her butt off about what occurred between them until the truth came out that she had drugged and raped him. She claimed it was consensual. Austin tried to tell Carrie, but she didn't want to hear it. It wasn't until the A&C wedding when Sami revealed she was pregnant that Carrie even knew that Sami and Austin had slept together.

I have one word: LAME!!

If this is the best MarDar can come up with for February sweeps, then this show is deep in doggy doo-doo. Recycling old storylines & changing history for snail's pace stories that are incredibly dull, is a big invitation for viewers to tune out.

Yes, the John-Hope marriage fiasco should be a blip that can be sorted out in 10 minutes. But no, this show will probably drag it out for eternity and flog the dead horse 100 or so more times, before there is any resolution.

Abby turning all psycho chick is ridiculous, Bradison are as dull as the scarf-sniffers and Cafe are just forced and stupid. Carrie and Austin's marital "problems" came out of nowhere. I can't stand it when situations and people's behaviors are explained poorly, with no real explanation as to why. Huge gaping potholes in storylines just make me mad.

Okay, that was more than one word. ;)

I absolutely can't wait to see Jack and Jen's reaction to Abby saying she had sex with Austin. I don't think that Abby will keep this a secret or else what's the point? Jack is going to go ballistic and Jen will hopefully blame herself (one can hope, right?).

This show is in deep doo doo. These writers seem to think that they can just bring back vet after vet after vet with no decent storylines, and fans will still want to watch. Sorry, Mardar, it doesn't go like that. No matter who is on the show, you have to have some decent, FRESH storylines to engage the audience. It's just not happening, and the show is beyond boring and confusing. Dont' try to pull the wool over viewers' eyes with these redone s/l that have no rhyme or reason to them, and stop trying to change Days' history. Most of us have been watching for a looooong time and you're not fooling anyone. :frustration: :frustration:

Gone, But Not Forgotten!

I am not sure what the big deal is if Hope and John are marriage and Gina and the Pawn. It does not nullify BOPE or Jarlena's relationships or feeling for one another. It is like a bump in the road, but not catastrophic. Now a kid together, for the Gina and the Pawn, would be something else. This type of revelation could shake things up and this is where we see who's got a strong marriage. I'd bet Jarlena would stay solid, but not so convinced that BOPE could ride out the storm. I'm game to at least watch the start of the SL, and see where it goes. I'll have the barf bags close by, just in case it gets out of hand.

I honestly don't think this new team had a clue about what they were doing from the moment they came on the the show. They promised new, exciting, explosive stories with fabulous romance, and instead we got used, dull stories that crackeld instead of popped, and practical softcore porn in every episode.

I don't mind revisiting stories, as long as they're filled with tons of awesomeness and only happen every now and then. Revisiting a big story is meant to be something rare that doesn't happen every day. When the "Buried Alive" story was revisited in 2010, I thought it was great! It wasn't exactly like the first one in 1993, but mirrored it in a way that was humorous, dramatic, and very entertaining. What I DO have a problem with is that MarDar is trying to revisit every big story DAYS has ever had! They re-did the John/Marlena/Roman affair story through EJ/Sami/Rafe, which did not nearly have the same spark as its original. Now we're coming back to The Pawn/Princess Gina, and a possible serial killer storyline in the Spring, when DAYS just finished one barely eight years ago!

MarDar need to be fired. They're not writing a show. They're re-writing history, and destroying it at that, and who knows what kind of contrived mess this once-cherished soap will be before Summer hits.

Word. I love me some J&M but no way I'm putting up with these kinds of "stories" for them. I suffered through the borefest that was the embezzlement story but not interested in this Jope redux (in any way, shape or form).

I thought the Abby/Austin stuff could be interesting but I was wrong. Abby tricking Austin into thinking they slept with each other because she's obsessed with him...lame.

I thought the Cafe stuff could have added a good conflict for Caustin and raised the stakes with the deadbabysex but I was wrong. Everything about it is so forced. EVERYTHING.

I wanted to like Bradison, but there's no investment there. The characters are a bore together and their constant pimping from everyone has left a really bad taste in my mouth.

Will's coming out had so much potential and I'm currently bored with it. There's no emotional weight to it anymore...everyone seems to already know he's gay but he just hasn't accepted it or doesn't realize it himself. I mean we've got Marlena, EJ, Gabi, Sonny (Sonny's friend Mateo), all knowing that Will is gay. It's going to be a non-event when it's final revealed, just like the deadbaby sex...non-event. Marlena already knows about it, EJ knows Will knows, Sami's about to know Will knows...now what? Boring.

Don't even get me started on the ridiculousness of Alice's secrets. :shame:

And the mayor race...snoozefest central. Having Abe playing dirty when all he really has to do is focus on EJ and the DeMira character to win this race. The fact that EJ is even a viable candidate for mayor is laughable.

Melanie and Chad as star crossed lovers...honestly, who cares?

J&J: non-story

Jack's PTSD: non-story (I havent seen the veterans episode so not sure how much they touched on that there)

The Mad World/CountessW "story" is a mess - Sami works for Madison, now she works for Kate, oh wait she's a mole for Madison, but then Madison backs out so she decides to work for Kate instead....mess, mess, mess. And a mess I'm not interested in watching, like really....who cares? Pick a damn side and go with it.

I honestly don't mind the married "twist" at all. But I could go the rest of my life without seeing John and Marlena and Bo and Hope get married again. Unless Marlena wears that headdress from 1986. I could totally get behind that. She should just wear that on a random Tuesday.

While I will agree about Bo/Hope...I would not mind seeing another Jarlena wedding again...especially after the monumentally craptastic one they had right before the DH's were fired. :hmmph:
