SOW: The week begins with Sami and Austin catching Rafe and Carrie in an intimate moment while practicing a dance. How does she react?

AS: She's shocked. That's the first indication that there is something there. Leading up to that, there may have been tiny moments where she thinks Carrie should get off her man, but it was very subtle. When she and Austin see that dance... Sami is an insecure person and she has never had a great relationship with her sister, given all the things that Sami has done, so when she walks in on what is clearly a romantic encounter of some kind, she is immediately going to the worst-case scenario.

SOW: What about the fact that Sami has already cheated on Rafe with EJ?

AS: I don't know if it's just Sami or I am just very protective and defensive of her, but in the moment, when she sees them, that is the furthest thing from her mind. She is not thinking of herself; she is thinking about the situation that she just walked in on and she's pissed and she's going to make sure that everybody understands that she knows what's going on, and she's not going to let Carrie get away with it. And then when Rafe is apologetic and tries to make it up to Sami in the next scene, that's when the reality crashes back in, because she always had that moral high ground and now she doesn't.

SOW: And if that wasn't enough, Madison tells her to pull the plug on sabotaging Kate. What does Sami do?

AS: She loses it. She has the big plan of how they're going to bring Countess W. and Kate down and Madison basically tells her, "No, we're not doing it. I changed my mind." In talking to Madison, Sami realizes there isn't any out; she's in too deep. She is disenchanted and disappointed in Madison that she's chickening out, and all because of Brady and what he thinks of her? So, Sami basically decides, in that moment, to switch allegiances and take Madison down. Sami has no reason to stay loyal to her. Part of that does come from when Sami's been working with Kate, she knows it's been sincere on Kate's part. Kate does respond to her and respect her, and they work together well. So, when Madison pulls the rug out from under her, she sees a future with Kate.

SOW: Sami then goes home, where Will finally admits he saw Sami and EJ having sex. What happens there?

AS: He has a total flip-out. She knows exactly what Will is going through, because she went through the same thing. He is just not even trying to understand what she's been through or what her perspective of it is. She really does feel like it was this crazy thing and she literally was insane from grief over thinking she was losing Johnny. She really feels that's what happened and that he should understand that, but he doesn't. Her heart breaks for him and she loves him so much and she hates that he has been mad and blaming her.

SOW: The week ends with an even bigger surprise: Sami sees Rafe and Carrie kissing.

AS: Oh my gosh, it's unbelievable. When Sami walks in that door and sees them kissing, her guilt and her infidelity completely fly out of her mind. It's the last thing she's thinking about in that moment. All she can think about is seeing them kissing. And passionately I might add. She's devastated.

No matter what you think, I DO love you.

Wow what a bunch of crap. So not interested in watching the Days of Sami's life...so over this trick.

This all sounds really good. I still wish they had waited on Rafe and Carrie kissing and left it purely in the bonding stage but whatever.

Love Sami turning on Madison because that will come back to bite her big time. Kate definitely had her own reasons to hire her so no doubt Sami will pay for this decision.

Did you try understand what your mother went through after all those years? NO! What a hypocrital bitch!

Who want to bet she will find a way to blame this on Marlena. :eyeroll:

Again..... It's all about Sami!!!!

This makes no sense. She's furious with Madison for dropping their plan to take down the woman she hates most and she retaliates by going to work for the woman she hates most? Okay then.

Oh, and since when was Kate's desire to work with Sami "genuine?" I thought it was established that Kate was just playing her? Didn't she and Stefano have a big plan to pull the rug out from under her or were we not supposed to take that seriously?

I hate that they keep comparing the hatesex/beastfuck to Jarlena...it's so not the same thing. Not even close, other than the child feeling betrayed by their mother, and even then its pushing it.

And I foresee lots of growling with this statement "she's pissed and she's going to make sure that everybody understands that she knows what's going on, and she's not going to let Carrie get away with it."...oh boy. The hypocracy makes me want to scratch my eyeballs out. Sami may not be thinking about herself (yea right my ass!) but the audience sure gets nauseated at remembering her past "insanity".

Why is Sami up in every story?

Well, it was established to the audience, but I guess Sami doesn't know that. Makes me wonder if it's been dropped. Hopefully not.

Finally! I'm so glad to see that Will finally tells her. They stretched this secret to toxic proportions.

This sounds great. Sami is back on team Kate, I can't stand that bitch Madison. I get that she focuses squarely on Rafe and Carrie when those moments happen and not how hypocritical it is. I get that. I would still be pissed if I caught someone cheating on me, regardless of what I did or did not do; maybe later I would think that I deserved it. She is going to go through a whole lot this week, and I cannot wait to see it unfold. B)

Will telling Sami now seems such a let down. I think it would have played so much better at the renewal; even if he did it just with her beforehand. I think MarDar lost the momentum with this scene taking so long. It's lost it's power, especially now that the water is muddy with the whole Rafe/Carrie debacle.

I shouldn't be surprised though. MarDar never seem to execute their ideas to the highest potential. This reveal is a perfect example.

This part really bothers me. I don't know if it bothers me more that Sami's making it all about her own feelings (which isn't unexpected) or that AS seems to think that's the accurate response. If that's the way the audience is supposed to see this, then there is absolutely no hope for this "story." Basically, if it plays out this way, esp13 was right, and this round 537 of poor little victim Sami.

It sounds like it's been dropped. There's a big difference between "Sami thinks Kate is sincere" and "Sami knows Kate is sincere." If Ali's not aware that Kate is/was playing Sami, chances are that plot point hasn't been played beyond what was teased a few weeks ago.

I don't think the problem is that it took so long to get to this point. It is a problem, however, that the writers had Will keep quiet for so long just to have him blurt the truth out in such a random and anticlimactic way. Like everything else on this show, this "big reveal" is going to fall flat.

WAIT, hold the phone a second AS actually says"She really feels that's what happened and that he should understand that, but he doesn't. Her heart breaks for him and she loves him so much and she hates that he has been mad and blaming her." Really AS really???? How about for the fact that SAMI never tried to understand HER mother who NEVER shot John because SHE actually LOVED him unlike Sami and never spewed venom about him like you did to Will about EJ. and NEVER had Sami cover for her or would like SAMI allowed Will to. Also Marlena HATES that Sami blames her, yet she still does itand THIS time SAMI is the one to blame because she CHOSE To do what she did and she can no longer utter Marlena's name. If she tries I hope Will gives it to her good. :puke:  :x Every article I read with her is just ridiculous. Who does she think she is kidding here?? NOT me. Can't wait for Will to lose it on her ass and SHE better NOT EVER EVEN THINK of blaming Marlena. This continued parallel about the romp is disgusting and Sami is ALWAYS thinking of herself such BS. Sami's "DEVASTATED" What do you think Rafe will be???

I'm hoping there's a lot of things in this article AS is misinformed about. I mean...there's obviously more to some of this than what she's saying. She doesn't even mention whether or not Sami wants Will to keep his mouth shut or not or how she manages to explain quitting to Rafe or how Madison reacts. She's making Sami sound like a victim all the way around, and hopefully it won't play out that way, but it's discouraging that she sees it that way and is giving interviews solely from that perspective.
