SOW: And if that wasn't enough, Madison tells her to pull the plug on sabotaging Kate. What does Sami do?

AS: She loses it. She has the big plan of how they're going to bring Countess W. and Kate down and Madison basically tells her, "No, we're not doing it. I changed my mind." In talking to Madison, Sami realizes there isn't any out; she's in too deep. She is disenchanted and disappointed in Madison that she's chickening out, and all because of Brady and what he thinks of her? So, Sami basically decides, in that moment, to switch allegiances and take Madison down. Sami has no reason to stay loyal to her. Part of that does come from when Sami's been working with Kate, she knows it's been sincere on Kate's part. Kate does respond to her and respect her, and they work together well. So, when Madison pulls the rug out from under her, she sees a future with Kate.
This makes no sense. She's furious with Madison for dropping their plan to take down the woman she hates most and she retaliates by going to work for the woman she hates most? Okay then.

Oh, and since when was Kate's desire to work with Sami "genuine?" I thought it was established that Kate was just playing her? Didn't she and Stefano have a big plan to pull the rug out from under her or were we not supposed to take that seriously?
I think the most brilliant plan Stefano has ever heard of was for Kate to hire Sami to steal MadWorld secrets. I honestly don't think Kate has anything more up her sleeve. And if she does, I don't care enough to know what it is. Why bother having Sami/Madison working together to sabotage Kate just to have Madison pull out and then have Sami stay with Kate? It's a maddening circle of nothing. Just like all MarDar stories, there's potential for something good then they stop short of it and do a complete 180 and take the story to crapsville.

Will telling Sami now seems such a let down. I think it would have played so much better at the renewal; even if he did it just with her beforehand. I think MarDar lost the momentum with this scene taking so long. It's lost it's power, especially now that the water is muddy with the whole Rafe/Carrie debacle.

I shouldn't be surprised though. MarDar never seem to execute their ideas to the highest potential. This reveal is a perfect example.

A public humiliation for Sami should have been the way to go with this reveal. But since the writers can't seem to come up with their own ideas they're going to continue to try to parallel the beastsex with the J&M affair. Sami confronted Marlena alone (AS was ridiculously bad in those scenes) and we see these big emotionally charged scenes (I don't know how Deidre managed to pull any kind of emotion in those scenes given AS performance) between child and parent. I don't care enough about Sami's "guilt" (which we've BARELY seen) or her outcry for Will to "understand". So it's just going to be Sami making excuses trying to get Will to see why she did what she did (in AS over the top loud ways), and Will will be an angry crying mess not wanting to listen. There's no way AS is going to make these scenes work, at least not for me.

I think the story as written gives Sami a lot of outs to play the victim. She had sex with EJ out of grief, and Will won't give her a chance to even explain.

I feel like a lot of this story dances around the real issues with Sami's character and her flaws as a mother or a daughter. Will ends up coming across as a brat because of those flaws being ignored or undercut, and Sami just seems hollow.

This bitch is ridiculous. The shit with Kate, I can't even. I hate Kate, hate Sami, and am indifferent to Madison, so none of that makes me want to tune in.

As for Sami getting all outraged over Rafe's understandable desire to fuck a woman who's actually attractive and appealing, is the word hypocribitch in use to describe her already? If not, it should be. Everything is always about HER and HER feelings, nobody else's--zombiefucking EJ was about her personal misery, and who cared about her other children or her loving husband; Will being mad upsets her because he's upsetting her, not because her firstborn is clearly miserable and in need of help; Rafe being attracted to Carrie pisses her off because she won't admit she's a sack of shit herself. AS touched on Sami being insecure but they never play that any more. They've spent the last few years pretending the Emperor has marvelous silken bejeweled robes and that every woman in Salem is less desirable than Sami and Melanie, when in fact those two are on the bottom of the pile. If Sami actually were written as insecure, that would be fine, but she isn't, and she just comes across as petty, small, and a raging hypocrite.

:puke: I honestly just want Sami GONE!!! But not before getting beaten to a pulp for her hypocrisy and there goes my answer that Sami will NEVER EVER be able to have a light bulb moment and ever correct her destructive behaviour at least not for long. I hope Mad pays her back good and I can't wait for Kate to as well when the other shoe drops and Sami's is made a fool of AGAIN. She deserves to be because NO IS that STUPID but her. Just lock her up or kill her. I can't STAND her now

I like that Sami turns on Madison. I never understood why she was aligning with her in the first place!

Every time Alison Sweeney is interviewed, it's becoming harder and harder to distinguish between whether she's speaking as herself or as SAMI. To me, they sound like one and the same person -- selfish, clueless and utterly out of touch with reality!

SAMI is upset that Will is mad at her for Beastsex and disappointed that he doesn't see it her way??? WTF??? :flipoff: :flipoff:

And don't get me started about AS' comments about Sami "not thinking of herself" when reacting to the CAFE stuff. Seriously bitch?? Really? Do you think the audience is STUPID and MORONIC like your character?? Sami's reaction is classic SAMI-- always thinking of herself. If she was thinking of anyone else BUT herself, she would feel guilty and think that she deserved what's happening. FUCKING HYPOCRITE!

I hate SAMI and want her off my screen.
I can't stand AS and want her to completely disappear. . . or at least never give another interview or show her face on TV ever again.

Methinks AS is resembling MR in her interviews......getting on the character is a personal reflection of the actor. to them, I mean. I think she still wants Sami as the heroine, even to stretching interviews to unbelievable lengths.

I'm gonna go on a limb here and hope that this leads to something good. I can imagine Sami losing everything, going totally batshit, and just...trying to demolish everyone. And I would probably enjoy that.

Is that the likely outcome? Nah, it'll probably turn into some kind of Lucas-and-Sami reunite as he helps her get through her shit.

BUT, living off the possibility is kinda the way to go with this show, I think.

Okay I'll admit it, I'm actually a Sami fan *ducks for cover* :P so I'm actually looking forward to some of this. What frustrates me most is that there has been no growth for her character. I think it's possible for her to still be "typical Sami" without her having to be so immature and quite so self-centered (and mature doesn't mean she has to be some kind of heroin that they've tried making her into either for the last few years). To me I thought it was laziness on the writers' part to have Sami revert to blaming her mother and John for everything so recently. Really? She had a fairly good relationship with both of them before they left before. I was hoping that with this whole "full circle" story line that we might see some repentance towards Marlena from her and some bonding as she worked with Marlena to reach out to Will. I think we've all had "mirror mirror on the wall, I am my mother/father after all" kind of moments in our lives and while the scandal and Jarlena love affair are not the same it would have been nice to see Sami recognize that.

I am actually excited about her switching to team Kate though. I think this will be good! This is true Sami! I have a feeling she's going to take a big fall after all this but that's when I like her character best. I also CAN NOT wait to see Lucas's "What the hell?"-face when he realizes his mother and Sami are in cahoots together. Can you imagine? ha! ha!

Well, I'm glad someone still thinks she's headed for a fall. To me it's looking less and less likely with each passing day.

I'm going to wait for the "I told ya so" until I actually see the scenes....but I knew Sami would get the airbrush treatment when it comes to her "falling" please....never changes.

Might be more wishful thinking on my part. ;) At least that's how I'd write it if I had a chance anyway. :P

Well, I hope you're right. I had that same wishful thinking a few weeks ago, but with each new spoiler, I feel it slipping away. I'm not dramatic about it or anything.
