Off topic, but generally you're correct. Occasionally genes change during replication, but largely 2 blue eyed people don't have a brown eyed kid. Then again, people born 15 years ago aren't typically in their 30s, so obviously this show is fine with bucking the norm. |

For what it's worth, Jack/Matt's eyes are blue. Jennifer/Missy's eyes are green -- although they sometimes appear blue depending on the light and what she's wearing. Since I've personally seen people with blue eyes who have children with brown eyes, I decided to get the scoop. A quick look at Answers.com reveals, in part: "Originally, iris color was thought to be a simple trait—one governed by a single gene with multiple forms, or alleles, corresponding to each color. In this scheme, blue was thought to be recessive, requiring two copies of the blue allele in order to be displayed. Therefore, two blue-eyed parents could have only blue-eyed children, since each parent had only blue alleles. However, repeated observation of brown-eyed offspring from two blue-eyed parents showed this view to be wrong. Iris color is likely to be a polygenic trait—one governed by at least two genes and possibly more." Read more: http://www.answers.com/topic/eye-color#ixzz1kiUaxpb5 Since brown is the dominant eye color in the world, it tends to win out over other colors, although from what I gather, there are all kinds of parent-child eye color combinations out there. Interesting they brought up Nicole kidnapping Sydney...nice nod to history if they intend to do Sydole. Otherwise, it will be nice to see Sami pissed off by everyone! Looks like an action packed episode! |

So Sami is back to the "Im not going to let her celebrate her birthday with 2 kidnappers" when she had one of those exfoliating her back skin on the dimera couch cushions. She is so hard to follow :drunk: |

The beast bringing up EJ and Nicole's sin. Maybe this is what Abe brings up too. |

That could be interesting, would Lexie's past come into play? |

Am I the only one completely not at all interested in Lexie; her past, future or present? |

Nope, I could are less about Lexie. It is like they hide her away for so long, and take her out of the closest once in a while to play with the others... this is not a way to treat a character. I don't want her to have a SL of her own, she can get involved with Abe's campaign fallout, but not much more. |

There wasn't a preview in the US either, just the regular commercial for their new show Smash that they advertise throughout breaks and popups when Days returns from commercials. |

For years now, as every episode hits its end, viewers have been offered a titillating morsel of what tomorrow's episode will bring. Over the past few days, you may have noticed that "Days Of Our Lives" has stopped airing these little snippets. Soaps.com contacted the show to ask what was up with that and were informed that the network is no longer planning to air them. |

IIRC, a few of the customer surveys last fall asked a couple of questions about the end-of-episode previews. Something about whether they made you more or less likely to want to watch. Apparently, TPTB decided those snippets were working against them. No doubt, they're expecting that now the ratings will soar as a result of this change. I'm always fascinated at the lengths they'll go to make changes at the margins when they should be focused on addressing the fundamentals. It's like worrying about the color of the curtains when the wall is crumbling, the roof is leaking, and the window pane is cracked. |

To Annie, several pages back. Thank you for researching the eye color stuff. Back on topic, Deidre does look absolutely incredible. I love how Marlena has been written since the reboot. Her character was so screwed up before she and Drake were layed off a few years ago. It's so nice to see Marlena back in character, strong and Deidre's wonderful acting bringing so many layers to her scenes with the various characters she is interacting with. I'm loving her return. Chandler and Deidre's scenes are the only ones that I never FF. I wish some of the other characters were currently being written as well. |
