Really don't appreciate how Carrie is getting throw under the bus to prop Sami. Now, I am not a Sami-hater, so it's not even about that. I just love Carrie and wish they could give her a story that doesn't involve Sami, or at least don't just have her as a prop...
I agree with this. I love both Sami & Carrie but right now I'm not too happy with how either are behaving. Sami needs to come clean to Rafe. Carrie needs an attitude adjustment and stop blaming Austin for everything. She also needs to get some morals and STOP cheating especially with her sister's husband. Two wrongs don't make a right
Totally agree...Carrie cheating on Austin is just dispicable....I am totally disgusted with her....Austin is her SOULMATE...I cannot believe she would do this to him...and for what...so she can get som Rafe cock? GMAFB! WAKE UP CARRIE!!
meh, Austin and Carrie were at their prime in the 90's. Now, i couldn't care less if they separated. I actually like Rafe and Carrie, i'm willing to give them a shot. The only thing I am willing to give a shot when it comes to Rafe, is one to the fucking head.
I don't want that loser with anyone...let alone Carrie.

Sorry, but calling what EJ and Sami did an "accident" is just funny to me. What?! An accident is when two people bump elbows when they pass by each other. An accident is unintentional and short in duration. To call that extended bout of coupling an accident -- when it started up against a fireplace mantle and continued across the room for a seemingly endless period on a couch -- is really stretching the bounds of credulity. It's also disturbing in that it absolves adult human beings from having control over their own actions. One swept-away kiss, maybe. Prolonged sex? No way.
Sorry, "the dog ate my homework" is more plausible than Sami saying her encounter with EJ was some kind of unavoidable accident.
By "accident", I meant not on purpose. She did not go there deliberately to screw EJ. She hadn't been hiding feelings for him, lust, longing, whatever, etc. She was in a terrible state thinking her kid was dead, fighting with the kid's father and it turned physical. It could have just as easily not happened as happened. And she's been upset and beating herself up over it ever since. Rafe has been emotionally longing/lusting/cheating on Sami for weeks with Carrie AND now it's manifesting into a full blown make out session. Deliberately. On purpose. For me, there IS a difference.
Understood. Still not buying that Sami's behavior wasn't deliberate after a certain point. A fender-bender is accidental and un-premeditated. But (and I'm sorry for the crude parallel), when you back up the car and then proceed to ram the other car again and again for a prolonged period, it stops being either accidental or unintentional. She chose to commit adultery. That's a fact. I'm not saying that excuses or compares to Rafe and Carrie. They're committing their own sins. I'm no fan of either one. But Sami is lying repeatedly to Rafe, and he knows something is wrong, but he can't figure out what it is. That's alienation, and it happens when one spouse keeps secrets from another. Still doesn't excuse anything, and I understand that emotional betrayal can be as -- or more -- devastating than outright adultery. The fact is that every person in this situation is doing things to dishonor their spouses, their families, and their own principles. None of them gets any sympathy from me. And I ultimately blame the writers for imposing this contrived and plot-driven mess on the rest of us in the first place. THANK YOU!
I blame them too because of this stupid stunt which breaks up three marriages and the cruelest of all- ITS FUCKIN BORING and MAKES Sami the victim...AGAIN!
So Carrie was brought in to cheat, again. Rafe, who never even looked at another woman is suddenly a horndog for Carrie (I dont blame him the least) and now Sami the beast Hernandez gets to act all entitled bitching at Marlena for something THEY GOT PAST and bitchin at John FOR SOMETHING SHE FORGAVE HIM FOR and bitchin at Carrie and Rafe and getting pissy at Will.
:flipoff: SAMI...for even existing....YOU RUIN EVERYTHING!

I ultimately blame Ken Corday for not only allowing but apparently actively promoting Sami Brady as the centerpiece of the show. I don't care that Sami's getting cheated on because I can't understand why any man would want her in the first place. I don't care that Carrie's cheating because it's not like this is her first rodeo. I don't care that Rafe's cheating because I think he deserves to get him some strange after putting up with Sami's bullshit for years. The only person I actually feel sorry for in all of this is Austin, because I do think PM is doing a good job selling Austin is in love with his wife and had hoped they were beyond all the crap in their past, but frankly he can't give her a very long leash (see: flying bed).

meh, Austin and Carrie were at their prime in the 90's. Now, i couldn't care less if they separated. I actually like Rafe and Carrie, i'm willing to give them a shot. I'm really enjoying Carrie and Rafe, but the truth is that Carrie & Austin ARE soul mates and have been through hell and back. Carrie wouldn't cheat, risk her marriage or hurting Austin for the trivial reasons that are being presented. "Sorry Austin, I've got too much work to do, so I'm just going to get off with my co-worker because it's more time efficient".
I don't think Carrie and Austin are past their prime, they're just being written that way...to pimp Sami. Again, my point, that I'm enjoying the story, it's just hard to swallow because Carrie&Austin are being trivialized. Raise the stakes and make Carrie & Rafe believable.
Also, Carrie and Austin raised Will in Switzerland for a large chunk of his life. Why do they seem oblivious to the things he's going through?
Most consider Carrie boring, but I think she has a very complex history, is a strong character and Christie is a GREAT actress (Christie is subtle, Ali over-the-top). Give her something meaty. Let her interact with more characters. I would KILL for the writers to find a way (as far fetched as it might be, currently) to get EJ and Carrie together. Granted Carrie would NEVER (willingly) go there, but her mother married a Dimera...

Comfort sex, ease the pain sex, for Ejami, is going to be the excuse they use for getting it on. When you think you lost someone you lost, I think your emotions can get the best of you. No matter what's gone on with Sami and EJ before, they have this crazy attraction to one another. Definitely not love. Because we have seen both Ejami feeling guility over their 'tryst'... I don't think they want anything else from each other. Call it a crazy affair, but b/c Sami doesn't trust Rafe enough to tell him about it, so its going to get the best of her. Since Ejami beast sex was not premeditated, iit should not be on par with CAFE's lustful attraction. A lustful attraction that is obviously going to end up in mutual attraction and an uncontrolable kiss. Sorry, ppl that don't work out issue in their marriage aren't solid in the first place, so they look for the easy way out. I sense Carrie is even more at fault than Rafe. This is her sister's husband, not someone you should let you feelings go rampid with. Carrie seeem so over Austin... excuse after excuse. I hope Carrie is left alone. I don't want her with either Rafe or Austin. Austin seems like his is so much more in love with her, Carrie, seems shallow and fickle. Carrie is being fickle and that's not the Carrie we've known.

I guess I'm just annoyed that the writers never feel the need to have Sami be called out and actually pay for her actions like everyone else. But I guess this is more AS then the writers. This is why I wish they'd just backburn her. Because everytime she does something crappy its ALWAYS someone else who is more to blame. And I'm sure once it all come out Ej will get all the blame and Sami will somehow be made out to be the poor little victim like she is now. :frustration:
Not paying for her actions? I would say losing the love/respect/integrity of your relationship with your son is certainly losing something. Especially, as this is the one kid she actually seems to care about MOST OF THE TIME. But that's just me.
I haven't noticed her caring about Will since about 2001.
I think she does in her own warped, abnormal way. One of the reasons this story doesn't work well for me is I haven't felt the gravity of that bond between mother and son being broken. It just seems like an excuse for the show to have Will act like a brat. I see tears, and screaming, and tantrums, but then I also see a very quick eagerness to hurt not only Sami, but the family he supposedly loves (since the ugly scene at that birthday party will hurt Sydney, although Will didn't seem to care in the slightest).
It just feels like two immature screamers who are always too busy pointing their finger to ever actually make rational decisions. There are no emotional stakes in any of this.
