Another great show.

Hot Mess Mandy did a great write up that expressed what I thought of the episode to a T - http://tvsourcemagazine.com/tv/recaps/2594-game-of-thrones-recap-the-old-gods-and-the-new

SouthOfSoap OMG your pic is HILAR.
There are like a zillion (totally like not exaggerating) GoT humor sites on the web!

Last night was great. Cersei's talks to Tyrion and especially Sansa really humanized her a lot for me. Don't get me wrong - she's still a cold bitch, but at least she is a human one!

Jon Snow is silly. That girl is right - he knows nothing lol.

Did Lady Stark kill Jaimie Lannister?

Why did Theon look shocked when he saw the crispy deep fried children? Did he not order that?

The city of Quarth and Dany is odd: Its a lush city in the middle of a desert of death. All the rich people are traders with ships, but there is no ocean nearby! And with no natural resources nearby, where do they source their product from? Anyway, I think Lady Gaga took Dany's dragons lol.

I was under the same impression, but evidently a narrow water source (perhaps the narrow sea we always hear about) runs right to Quarth

Thats brilliantly spotted Rick!! makes so much sense seeing it. I'm guessing there is more descriptin in the books(?), but they are quite skimpy on detail sometimes in the series.

I don't remember much description about the outer part of the city in the books, but I do remember "The House of the Undying"

If the showrunners can make it half as mind blowing the books, we're in for a real treat!

See, in the books Dany's dragons weren't stolen. I guess the show needed something else for her because she's a minor character in 'A Clash of Kings'

I'm really looking forward to "The House of the Undying" even though I know nothing about it.

I got a very Harry Potter vibe from Pyatt Pree - he even looks a bit like Voldemort lol.

I had heard she had a really small part in this book so I was bummed.

I don't understand any of this Quarth shit.

But I love it.

After a slow start, I'm loving this season. Snow sure landed himself in a jam. And I love the girl from Downton Abbey. Also, it was nice to see the Queen admitting that her son is a lunatic.

Yeah, this season has definitely hit its stride.

The book just must have been really boring in the beginning! LOL.

I cannot stand Theon but Alfie Allen plays him so well that I almost felt sorry for him when he looked over at Rodrik Cassel and the burnt kids. He emotes "torn and disgusted with himself" perfectly.

Random question: In the books, how long does it take Dani to interact with the other main characters?

Last night was great, but not epic!

I wanted to see this house of the undying - they sort of dropped that.

Whats Lady Stark upto?

So add cowardice to Theon's list of deficiencies...

Ugh. So I had this long post typed up, but my laptop ran out of battery and shut down before I could charge it.

Trying to remember what I typed before:

- Jon is so "blah" now - which is sad, because he used to be my favorite male character.

- Catelyn is on my shit list again. I disliked her at first because of her shitty attitude towards Jon, then I liked her towards the middle/end of season 1. But now I don't like her again. I know that she doesn't know that Arya isn't with Cersei, but still. Can't believe she just let fucking Jamie go like that.

- I love that mysterious Jaqen dude... and not just because he is nice to look at, lol. His scenes with Arya are so fun to watch. Speaking of Arya scenes, I hope she continues to interact with Tywin. I love their banter.

- Tyrion has the best scenes. Cersei, his guard, Varys, Joffrey, Shae (I don't even mind her now. Shocking, right!?) ... I love them all. It was nice to see his vulnerable side with Shae. I even buy that they have feelings for each other now.

- I really wish we could see more of Varys. He is such a hard character to figure out, IMO. I was especially intrigued by his dragon comment (how there will be no place to hide once Dany's dragons grow). Foreshadowing?

- LMAO at Theon's sister calling him a cunt. Love her bluntness.

- Is anyone else creeped out by the Jorah/Daenerys relationship? I mean, he's like 45 and she's 18! I love them as individual characters and I love their Khaleesi/guard relationship, but ugh. And I always kind of knew that Jorah would have some feelings for Dany (it was obvious), but the whole "I'm in love with you" is just too much. And just the thought of Jorah lusting after her makes me gag. I thought it was best when it was REALLY subtle; Jorah would just protect her while having *some* feelings for her (not too romantic, just a best friend type of loving. Like... not "in love", but just "love"). IDK. But it cracks me up how incest, violence, prostitute beating, and everything else doesn't bother me, but this does, LOL.
