I thought the episode was a letdown after "Blackwater". Benioff and Weiss write better Moments than cohesive episodes or arcs, IMO. I thought the show could be a little clearer about the significance of Jon killing Qhorin. And from a book reader's POV they really screwed with the Robb/Cat storyline, Robb came off like such a dick to me last night. and I'm really hoping to see more of Sansa and Bran next season. I think they handled Tyrion's arc the best, and Theon's. I thought Brienne's insistence on burying the dead was poignant as well. |

I think the last episode was the best episode. There wasn't much movement this season with anyone other than Tyrion or Theon, and I thought both of those ended well. My favorite part was seeing Khal Drago, and while Khaleesi's storyline pissed me off this season, I loved her at the end! I guess last season, she had to learn about trusting that witch woman who cost her Khal and her baby, and this season, she had to learn about trust with that big dude with/without the money. Excited for John Snow's story next season, and Sansa's. I was wondering if Littlefinger was going to propose to her since Joffery told him he needed kids and grandkids. And maybe Sansa would take Kaitlyn's place for him. Ew, but typical. I think the new chick is perfect for Joffery, and almost interested in seeing that played out. Also curious how Tywin will react when he sees what a little piss ant coward Joffery is...maybe Tyrion will get a bit more respect. The Arya storyline freaked me out a bit (WTF was that with Jaquen), but I love her! Thought Robb Stark getting married during a war was dumb...everyone else is freaking out and attacking and he needs to avenge Winterfelll and find his brothers and sisters, but he takes the time to get married? I like Jaime and the big woman warrior...love how impressed he is with her...dare I say attracted? I enjoy their banter too. The zombies at the end wasn't what I was expecting...I rolled my eyes a bit at that. What I love about GoT is that sometimes I forget that it is fiction, but the zombies/whitewalkers reminded me quickly. Not a fan of that development. 10 episodes is just not enough for this show...the season moved slow and its probably because there are so many characters...but the concept is so intriguing and it definitely left me waiting to see what is next. Season 3 should kick ass. |

But if you go back to the very first scenes of the very first episode, these are the same undead zombies, aren't they? They been there from the beginning, just some people forgot aout them... |

Personally I loved the episode. I thought it brought everything together and was satisfying. I know its quite dimwitted of me to only realise this now (and I may be wrong since I have not read the books), but the ice is the winter and the zombies and the fire is Khaleesi and the dragons and the rest is filler? Why did they burn the guy that Jon Snow killed? Would he turn into a zombie otherwise? was not made clear... I'm starting the books now, but they are big ass - 900 pages each for the first 2 volumes. No-one told me lol. |

Yeah & them Snow Zombies didn't get that nonsense AT ALL! It was way WAY to the left! EjSami & DaveB I like those Avatars. Edited by lightandday, Jun 4 2012, 08:26 PM.

I wouldn't say the rest is "just filler", but the "ice" and "fire" storylines do make up the outer framework of the story. The supernatural and the mundane serve to highlight each other. I assume they burned Qhorin because that's the wildling custom. Season three will cover only half of the third book so hopefully it will feel more fleshed out and less crammed. |

^^^ OK! So I assumed your saying there is point to the Snow Zombies because of the "ice" part of the books? |

Agreed with all this. I'm really curious about the coin thing with Arya and Jaqen. I hope Jaqen returns next season. :-/ God, I LOVE Daenerys so damn much. Loved the look she had on her face when she locked Xaro and her slave in the vault. The Khal Drogo dream was a nice touch. I don't mind the White Walkers. I'd rather watch that than Jon and whatever's going on with the red-head and the wildlings. (His story isn't really that interesting so far, IMO. Hope it gets better in season 3.) I don't know about season 3 feeling less crammed, lol. Apparently there will be more than 11 new characters introduced next season. The list can be found here: (*It's not really spoilery for non-book readers.*) http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/05/29/game-of-throne-season-3-cast/ |

I thought it was an amazing finale. It was actually nice to see Cersei get Sansa out of the marriage with :crown: :thankyou: SOOO happy Tyrion lived to fight another day! :whooohooo: I liked the Arya & Jaquen scenes. I would like to see more of them. John wanted a meeting with the wilding king but he had to prove he wasn't a traitor by killing one of his men (Qhiron) & they burned the body so he couldn't come back & kill him. Brienne was a pretty, bad-ass, motherfucker with those blades. She took charge & owned it! :sweet: I LOVED Daenerys SO damn much in this episode. She got her cute little dragons back, & put Xaro's ass with his slave in confinement. The Khal Drogo dream was pretty :sweet: The ending was like a cross between GoT & The Walking Dead! |

I enjoyed the episode Tyrion rocks  I loved when he said this"Outtalking them, outthinking them. I like it. I like it more than anything I've ever done" that's why I love him and he is bascially the only Lannister I like. I wanted Bran and rickon to find Jon in this episode and was a little disappointed that they didn't. I can't wait till the stark siblings are reunited finally! Lol at that little shit Jeoffrey proclaiming his love for whatsherface(lol can't remember) ...Sansa was happy for a minute..I want her to be the one to kill him(wishful thinking) Lol at Greyjoy getting knock out after his speech..I thought it was a nice speech but kinda figure his troops weren't behind him.. Daenarys was awesome in this episode andI loved seeing Khal again ..how adorable was their son! She came into her own.. Jaqen is freaky but I like him. Arya is such a kick ass Charcater..all on her own...I wonderif Jaqen trains her in season 3! That would be awesome... Jon was ok In this episode..he killed the guy and??..... Robb had time to married doing a war :shame: ...go find your siblings ...pussy whip... Overall I love the episode and I am very excited about season 3  :cheer: Edited by EJ_SamiFF, Jun 5 2012, 12:45 AM.

Yep, and the "ice" magic and "fire" magic are intertwined somehow. I don't think the show touched on it but magic is coming back into the world just at the same time as the dragons were born. Not sure which caused the other though. Anyway magic/supernatural stuff will become more and more a part of the story as we go on. |

Season 2 was excellent. There were some things I didn't quite a enjoy. I wasn't a fan of Robb's romantic s/l AT ALL. I thought Jon & Dany's story dragged a bit but it all came together pretty much in the finale. They've really messed up Cat's story. My favorite episode was Blackwater. The whole thing was outstanding. Edited by Checkers, Jun 14 2012, 04:23 PM.

I agree about the Robb romance, it was rather cliched and in the process Cat was screwed over. He also was harder to like in the show. |
