I think Carrie's been written perfectly since she's been back. She's one of those characters where family connections are an important part of who they are. And I'm enjoying all of her interactions with those close to her. I love that she values John and Marlena as parents, just as much as Roman. The cheating part that it seems she's about to delve into again doesn't bother me because I'm one of those people that believe, once a whore, always a whore. Carrie will cheat until the day she dies, LOL. And I wouldn't have it any other way. It's a great fault for such a "white character." |

I wouldn't mind seeing a little devil in her come out too and that her whole game has been to give payback to Sami. It would liven up the contrived mind-numbing nonsense we've been subject to currently. Let's say there is more to her disinterest in Austin than we know so far...maybe something happened in Switzerland and all Carrie has been hearing about is Sami and this great guy Rafe she managed to hook and how deeply devoted he is to her. Ah! A challenge for an already frustrated wife.....why not give Austin some grief for what ever she is holding against him and give Sami a taste of the medicine Carrie had to take at Sami's hand? Could be a lot more fun if they throw in this type of twist than the path they are on now which seems fairly predictable and boring. |

Well to piss off Sami would be a reason, so I'd take it. |

I use to like Carrie. This time around I don't like her AT ALL. How very dare her come to town and horn right in on Sami's husband!! I wish she would leave town and certainly wish she would leave Rafe alone. Yes I put 100% of that stupid mess on Her. Rafe would have never thought to cheat on his own. She is a cheater--and she will never change! |

Does anyone have a clip of that scene? I would love to watch her talks. I also love John's talks to Carrie when he thought he was Roman. |

I rooted against her in Carrie vs. Sami 90's style. But now I kind of love her. She feels right, it's nice to see her on the show. I didn't see the Austin/Carrie relationship develop so it was more...he was the "prize" in a competition between sisters. I never bought that she loved him, and I liked her more with Mike. The whole Rafe thing for me...it's almost like she's had a chance in Switzerland without Sami around to stand back and feel a life with Austin, and she didn't want it. Or maybe she's just down for the battle with her sister. I hope the writers explore her a little more, as an individual not part of a triangle or couple. I think the character has a lot of possibilities still open. |

I definitely like the way Carrie is being written since her return. I love her relationship with her family especially John and Marlena. I would love to see more scenes with the rest of the Brady's as well (well probably not Roman) I am enjoying her with both Austin and Rafe. I have no stake in either couple but I agree that the problems btw Austin and Carrie are being rushed for the plot point. |

I don't know why, but I am loving Carrie and Rafe, but specifically Carrie. I tend to like Carrie when she's not with Austin. I really liked how Christie Clark and Roark Critchlow played off each other (platonic relationship trends into romance), and I see shades of that with Galen Gering's Rafe. She has wonderful chemistry with GG. Although the fact is that Carrie is a serial cheater, somehow I don't see that in the way the character comes off. Everytime she has cheated seems legitimate to me (I don't know why, something about CC's portrayal AND the fact that I didn't see her second extramarital liaison with Lucas). It works. I don't question it. Carrie Brady Reed is a well-rounded character, and I accept that. I esp. love that she's sticking it to Sami. |

Carrie was one of those characters that I was kind of neutral about early on. Didn't love her or hate her. She was just there. I couldn't stand the other actress that played Carrie back in the early 90's but once CC came back I liked her more. I ALWAYS thought she looked too young for Austin, and now it really shows. But seriously...I was okay with it and then..she cheats on him with Mike. I thought that was written so OOC and I couldn't stand her with Mike. But now....now that it's happening again I guess that it IS in character for her. I don't understand her and why she would cheat, but I do feel like it is in character now because it has already happened. I guess I'm not really a fan, except for the way she supports John. Not that I'm a huge fan of his...but I like that she acknowledges that he pretty much raised her, unlike Sami who does nothing but detests him most of the time. If they showed more reason about why she is not happy with Austin I might understand her more. The whole excuse of how he thought John might be guilty just isn't enough for me. |

I don't like that they are destroying Rafe's character for this! He was never a cheater and never even looked at another woman. THey must be planning on keeping Safe together in the long run considering this will make them even to some point. I just wish they would put the REAL Rafe back on my screen! |

I don't understand Carrie's excuse for what she's doing with Rafe. With Mike, she fell in love. With Lucas, she wanted children. Why exactly is she cheating with Rafe? She is definitely not in love with Rafe. I'm guessing she doesn't want his baby. If what she is doing is only based on her overactive hormones this maybe the worse cheat for Carrie. Because she has no noble intentions to use to get out of it.

I share your sentiments, Vicky. Honestly, I don't care much with whom each character is paired as long as there is good development and romance. If Carrie and Rafe were the plan, I would've been ok with it. The part that I find very problematic is the cheating. I used to like Carrie but when she set her eyes on Rafe and seemly tried to get him despite his marriage with her sister, it was a 180 for me. Now I don't care about her anymore. |

I was enjoying the fact that Carrie & Austin were brought back into the show...and I thought the interaction of them with Rafe & Sami was leading to some fun and light scenes for a change. Now with this ridiculous sweating, goo goo, teary eyed Carrie just reinforces Rafe to be a hero once again to the damsel in distress. Wifey doesn't need him, she's bringing home the bacon now. And Carrie is playing this to the hilt.... love that she is extremely loyal to her family, Marlena & John, that is....but when it comes to Sami, all is fair in love and husband stealing! Hate that the writers chose to use Carrie as the other woman breaking up two solid marriages, so rare in Salem. I hope this fling with Rafe, if there is one, doesn't become a long term deal.... I want Sami & Rafe together, one of Days' best love stories deserves a break and Carrie & Austin need to stay together, a five year investment shouldn't be trashed so easily. B-) |

I would hate this. I don't think it fits with who she is. I haven't really had any use for Carrie besides her really old scenes as a teen hanging out with Jennifer and Frankie and John/Roman. Oh and when she cheated on Mike. To me, that affair made sense. There was a more natural build up and she and Mike were fighting their feelings, but Carrie appears to be flirting with Rafe just for the heck of it. Her issues with Austin seem really contrived and since they were apparently happy in Switzerland, it makes no sense to me that a couple of missed date nights and an argument about John is all it takes for her to start mooning over another guy. I can understand why she likes Rafe. He's basically the male version of her. They'd be well suited for each other, but if this is where they're going to go, they could have given the story a stronger foundation. |

I agree with you. Rafe is not prefect but damn close to it, and there are very few good people on the show. I never liked Carrie she has always acted like the good sister, cant’ do any wrong, sweet, innocent, and perfect, but truth be known she is just like Sami maybe worse, with Sami is what you see is what you get, no pretense! And for Rafe and Carrie they are the worst pairing since Ej and Taylor! You can’t take prime rib (Rafe) and hamburger (Carrie) and find a recipe that will work, because there isn’t any. They are throwing Rafe and Carrie at us forcing them down our throats, for no reason at all. They don’t look comfortable together, there’s not a connection between them, there scenes are so uneventful, even the promo for the kiss was dull and looked like it was a burden on them, what these writers don’t understand is if a viewer doesn’t like something I don’t care what they do they can’t force us to accept it and like it! Anymore then we can change the writer’s minds on what we want to see on our show! |

I have always liked Carrie. This time she is more mature and commited to her family. She is basically a good person. However, sadly she is a serial cheater. I wouldn't mind so much if she was ever called on it. But, Marlena, for example, acts like Carrie is Princess Perfect. That is very annoying. I like that having Carrie in town allows Sami to get back to who she is, a villainess. And Rafe is not quite so dull with her. Cafe is a better fit than safe, to me. |

Carrie, Carrie, Carrie. Always wants what Carrie wants and everyone be damned if she doesn't get it. I always liked Carrie until she came back in 2006. Even though it killed me that she cheated with Mike. But its like she sees a new piece of meat and whats to get a bite. Then when she gets called on her behavior (like austin did the other day) she tries to play all innocent and the victim. She's gonna cheat, there's no surprise there... I can see the writers are trying to make it look like Rafe and CArrie are turning to each other with their problems that will lead to an affair, but its been rushed. |

I too have gotten the impression that Carrie is just trying to show Sami that every guy will always want her more than Sami!!! What I don't know is if that is CC herself that is putting those nuances in her scenes or it's the actual story that is going to be played. It also could be just me wanting to see that myself. Anyways I've gotten the impression that Carrie is still wanting Sami to suffer for all she did to her in the past! As for Carrie, I've always enjoyed the character. I agree that she was great showing her unfailing trust in John. The writers nailed that part of the story. I like that we see her flaws but deep down she never tries to intentionally hurt anyone. She was hurt deeply by Sami though and I think that pain is still there. |

I like that they have written Carrie as acknowledging this sort of wary truce she has with Sami and her devotion to John and Marlena. I like that she and Rafe have developed this friendship even though Austin and Rafe haven't really liked each other since the beginning and that he's Sami's husband. I even like her with Rafe romantically. Given her history as a serial cheater, it's not unbelievable that she would go there with Rafe. The problem is that they rushed it too much. She seemed to be making googly eyes at Rafe pretty darn fast. I think they should have shown a bit better that while Austin might still be totally committed to her, she was already feeling a bit discontent in the marriage. That while she had this attraction to Rafe, he thought of her only as his friend and sister-in-law, and watch her struggle a bit with developing these feelings for him. Then through her being there for Rafe with the Sami troubles, he starts to see her in a new way. It would still cause huge conflict with Sami, even if she and Rafe had broken up already over the sex reveal coming out, huge problems in her marriage, and John and Marlena would be in the middle. |
