Everyone is focused on what Carrie did in this posting because its a posting about the character Carrie. I don't think this is a part of A.S. big master plan. Edited by Aliaron, Feb 1 2012, 05:16 PM.

if you continue to read my following post, you'll see my thoughts about Carrie and her flirtation with Rafe. I defend Carrie for more then one reason, not just because i hate Sami with a passion |

I don't think Carrie is more to blame for what's happening than Rafe is. Then again, I really don't think anything that's gone on between them has been inappropriate. But Carrie isn't responsible for keeping Safe's marriage healthy just like Rafe isn't responsible for Caustin's marriage. Now, if it turns out how I want it to, then she'll be more to blame, lol, but at this point I don't think she is. I also don't think either of them are going into this intentionally. I just don't see anything between them. I think their banter chemistry is good, but I see nothing at all romantic or hot. FYI, this thread is also for any and all history discussion. Feel free to post pictures and clips. Or you can wait for me to do it later tonight. Whichever. |

I LOVE this idea for a thread! :cheer: Such an awesome idea. Okay now let's see, Carrie . . . what can I possibly say about . . . . . . Huh? What? I'm sorry I must have nodded off. :P I've never been a big Carrie fan. I was hoping now that I was older and wiser I would grow to like her character this time around and see why everyone always thought she was so perfect but alas, I still don't like her. She's just so bland and it always used to frustrate me to see her get away with murder (figuratively speaking unless there's something I don't know about). Everyone used to just think the sun shone out her bum while Sami was the devil incarnate when Carrie was just as bad as Sami at times and yet she never really paid for any of her deviousness (at least as far as I can recall). How many times has she cheated anyway? She might be able to go toe to toe with the oompa loompa: he's a serial cheater and faller-in-love (yes that's a technical term :P) of his patients and she's a serial cheater on her sister's husbands/boyfriends. Sami needs to take it to the next level and marry EJ again! Let's see how far miss priss is really willing to go to take ALL of Sami's husbands. :D |

Oops, forgot to add that one thing I am grateful to Carrie for and that is the end of Safe (hopefully). Guess I do like her for something after all. :) |

While you're looking, maybe you can find one of my favorite preteen Carrie scenes. The one where Rom-John comforts her after Derek stands her up at the party. I think the clip might have been pulled though since I couldn't find it. All my favorite adult Carrie scenes involved Mike. Edited by six, Feb 1 2012, 07:56 PM.

I was going to make a comment about how I'm not your bitch, but then I remembered that this is basically how I "ask" you for banners. So, okay. I'll look. :) Meanwhile, I did just completely accidentally (seriously) find one of the scenes where Carrie reminds me of Sami. I do enjoy Carrie's scenes with all of her parents during this time, but I definitely prefer CC. My feelings for CC are similar to my feelings for Missy Reeves. They both have a familiarity and a naturalness that I like. |

Hey, six. Who was John with during those scenes? Scenes from that time period are separated by couple, lol. |

Can someone get the scene where she is splashed with the acid on her face? Boy I loved those Days and I was never a Carrie fan, I didn't hate her though, I just didn't love her either. |

I'm glad you understand how our relationship works. Seriously though I figured if you ran across it in your normal search you could link to it (or that you might even know exactly where to find it, since that's your era lol). I think CC's Carrie had good chemistry with the DHs as a kid. I didn't see much of TM's Carrie, so no opinion on that one. Edit: I think he was with Diana. Edited by six, Feb 1 2012, 08:37 PM.

This is technically the replay. As an aside, this is the first scene I vividly remember watching. |

I can't find it, six, but JarlenaFan on youtube has a lot of Roman and Diana clips. I'm not as familiar with their timeline. |

I totally disagree with your first paragraph. First of all, Austin and Carrie haven't been married for "so many years". What has it been- 5? That's not a long time to be married, and no matter how long you've been married doesn't mean you expect to or it's normal to lose "that connection". All marriages have their ups and downs, but that doesn't give either party the right or license to go out and flirt around and find an attraction with another person which is exactly what Carrie has been doing since she got to Salem. Carrie shouldn't be bonding with another man. She should be trying to work things out with her husband. The phrase, "he understands me and you don't" is one of the oldest lines and excuses in the book. Carrie is a cheater who goes after other women's men for her own selfish reasons. She is no better about it now than she was as a young woman in her 20's. Didn't like her then and don't like her now. Edited by magicsteacher, Feb 1 2012, 09:12 PM.

I don't think Carrie intentionally goes after married men lol, unlike her sister Sami who preyed on Austin for years and tormented Carrie through all those years. Carrie is a smart and beautiful woman and Rafe can't help himself, afterall look at the disgusting beast hes married too.. BARF! I don't blame Carrie or Rafe for accidentally falling for each other, shit like that happens everyday..you can't help who you fall inlove with, and a lot of times it happens when you least expect it. so, no..its not Carrie's fault for her marriage falling apart, it isn't Rafe's fault either. We can however hold them responsible for acting on their feelings while still in the relationships but lets face it, Carrie no longer loves Austin the way she used to and I think the audience can see that.. same goes for Rafe and Sami! |

So they had the scenes just before the dance, (it was Frankie and Jennifer's prom), but none of the dance itself. Oh well. |

Carrie has never respected the boundaries of marriage whether it was hers or another person's. If she did, she wouldn't have chosen to cheat with married men or men in committed relationships or cheat on her husbands. She chose to do that, it wasn't an accident. It's true that you may not be able to help who you fall in love with, but the fact is that Carrie is a married woman who is fooling around with a married man. She is not a teenager who doesn't have control over her feelings; she is a mature adult woman who certainly should have enough self control to back off when faced with a situation of being around an attractive man. Like I said before, marriages have ups and downs, but when those happen you work on them, you don't look outside your marriage to try and solve them. If Carrie doesn't still love Austin the way she used to, it will probably be a temporary thing, as it isn't like this hasn't happened before with her, and when it does, she always ends up back with Austin b/c that is who she truly loves. Carrie always has been a cheater and she still is. |

My thoughts on Carrie? Every time I've wanted to like her she's done something holier than thou and my 'liking' was stopped in it's tracks. Then again, even when she did hold the moral high ground I still had a hard time liking her. It's just one of those things I guess. Kinda like how I hated the show Seinfeld but everyone else seemed to love it. That's how I feel about Carrie. |
