Ej is a man who has been in Sami's life and he is alive and well, unfortunately, in Salem, and Lucas is on his way back; Austin is married to her sister and living in Salem. How are all her men "out of the picture"? Seriously, you may not like GG, but I highly doubt he is going to die or leave Salem anytime soon. |

magicsteacher, I was a huge "Passions" fan, so believe me, I don't mind Rafe or GG one bit, lol. Your point is well taken about EJ, but remember, he is a legacy character tied to a very core family. That's what I mean. I don't count EJ for that reason. Plus, I think it's obvious that EJ and Sami will revisit their romance a few times more in this show's life. |

lol, while you were posting this I had to compliment your avatar! Thanks, though! Abe deserves his comeuppance. There's just one thing better than the bad guys losing -- it's the good guys who TRY to go bad taking an EVEN BIGGER dirtnap than the bad guys did. There's nothing I can't stand more than a good guy going bad and thinking he can get away with. It's inherently wrong for his character! Hell, not just a divorce, but Lexie should try to keep Theo away from such corruption. |

EJ's the exception though. Every guy but him has ended up going out of town after their relationship with Sami ends. |

Lucas didn't really either. I mean, it was afterwards, but it was a while afterwards. He went to the backburner, though, lol. |

I meant when he went to prison, though.I wouldn't blame the second disappearance on her; he just got outclassed in his triangle. Speaking of the first exit, if you ever interview BD again, I have some suggested questions lol. |

But when he went to prison was more storyline dictated that an actual firing. If it would have been an actual firing he wouldn't have come back 2 months later. I consider his 'firings' the two that he was gone, gone 2001 and 2010. The 2008 break I consider storyline dictated and the 2009 break I consider GT testing the waters because they were thinking of getting rid of BD, since his 'rest' then didn't affect anything, they let him go 2 months later. I've always been weary of rests but I didn't get the feeling that he was gone gone until 2009, the 2008 thing felt like they had to ship Lucas away because they needed it for story. The 2009 one was totally unnecessary, but they felt like doing it. It took Lucas a solid 8 years before he left Salem the first time and during that time and his relationship with Sami was pretty much a full blown enemies stage. Then he came back again 10 months later and he stayed for about another 8 years....I would say that Ej is relatively new when it comes to 'time' with Sami...when you consider that he really only has 2 years more on the Sami 'meter' than Rafe does. |

But again, Lucas and EJ don't count because they're tied to core families. Think back, however, to Franco, Brandon (I know, but the Walkers aren't as core as the others, lol), and the other guys. They didn't stand a chance. |

I understand that and I agree about GG. I have been thinking that if GG's days aren't numbered before they will be in about 6 months. His contract ends in October I believe and I don't see him being around much after the NuSSK storyline (if that is what it is)....he's either going to be a victim or the killer. The fact that this regime doesn't appear to care much about keeping his 'hero' status intact or keeping Safe in that protective bubble, makes me think that they really aren't invested in him at all, which I don't mind really. Nothing against GG and I don't want anyone to lose their job, but they should have really worked on his back story about a year ago....the only thing that can save him and keep him around longer at this point is if Lucas' fiancee is somehow named Emily and she makes it to Salem sometime this summer. |

I wish the same abt EJ (I've always had an overwhelming want to stab him with a fireplace poker). I'll give up Rafe if you'll give up EJ. With the money they save, DOOL can hire someone else we both like. :D |

LMAO. What goes around comes around, Sami. ICAM. Karma's one mean mistress. Sami has no one to blame for this mess but herself. Although I'm sure she'll find a way to make this all someone else's fault - EJ's, Carrie's Rafe's, who knows, maybe even the mailman's... |

Ugh, sympathy for Sami. What a nightmare. Personally, all the adults involved are twats. I feel sorry for the kids. |

That pretty harsh.... as much as I despise the character of EJ, I wouldn't wish that on JS. These actors need their jobs and have families to support. We can disagree on everything else, but one's employment is a different story. |

I've never been particularly interested in Rafe. I think that the character has been poorly written from the very beginning. If the show so desperately wishes to keep GG, the best thing they could do is to wipe the slate clean and let GG come back as a new character. Because, let's face it, most people are weary with the character. He's been involved in lackluster plotlines and has hardly contributed anything fresh and exciting to the show. I usually don't bash actors - it feels tasteless and I understand that beauty is in the eye of the beholder - in other words, we all have our own interpretation of what is great and believable acting and most actors and actresses use themselves as a stepping board in their performances - making their talents and unique qualities vary a great deal. But the thing with GG is that he is often compared with JS. That's unfair, but I do believe that JS more often shines in his scenes than GG, who's been to me mediocre on a regular basis. |
