No, EJ and Nicole have NO reason to be pissed or act like they were not doing the same thing. I totally get that. It's actually very funny that they are so upset about it. I'm just thinking that what Abe did IS wrong and I'm afraid it's going to hurt him later. I can totally see him losing the election because of it. |

My "worry" is that he's going admit to it, and not mention where he found the questions. Like, I feel like if he were confronted and said "Well, yes. I found the questions in EJ's living room" he'd be just fine. |

That was my exact problem with it. There should have either been a more emotional moment or a less intense kiss. The way it played out, they really went at it just for the heck of it. Like they had nothing else better to do. It was also really...mechanical if that makes sense. The motions were right, but there was no feeling behind it. Also, didn't their business get shut down? I think Will was just really over the top. All he and Sami have been through and this is the thing he chooses to snap over? It would have played out better if it happened right after something else stressful. |

With no day ahead previews, can we please get the long opening back? Massey and Sweeney brought it in their scenes today. Kudos to both actors. I loved all of the history that was brought up. At first, I didn't take Will's line about Sami ruining the family he's always wanted with Rafe. There was a time when Sami and Lucas were married and were a family with Will. However, thinking back, Will was hardly around during Sami and Lucas' marriage. He was away at summer camp and then they sent him to Switzerland to live with Austin and Carrie. So what Will said is true. The only real happy family life he's ever had was with Rafe as Sami's husband. I know many Lucas fans don't like this, but it's fact. Lucas hasn't been there for his kids for years. If anything, Will should be somewhat resentful towards Lucas when he comes back. At least he should be. I wonder if we're going to get to see Will go to the party with Karim and Dustin. Rafe and Carrie's kiss was a little too much for me. I feel like it should've been a lot more innocent. It really did look like they were ready to take each other right there on Carrie's desk at any moment. Great cliffhanger with Sami arriving in time to catch them in the lock. Friday cliffhangers return! Anyone else think the woman moderating the debates sounded a lot like Kristian Alfonso? I kept expecting to see Hope every time I heard her voice. Weird. |

In the REAL world, if you can't do your job, you get FIRED. Apparently DAYS hasn't gotten the message with AS. If the scene calls for tears, it's pathetic she can't even muster any --given all the years she's been in the business! |

I'm so annoyed with Ali Sweeney right now I could scream. She should've KILLED those scenes today, but she didn't. Hell, I think she showed more emotion in that TurboTax commercial than she did in today's episode. There should've been eye lifting, mouth dropping, tears falling.... but nothing. It was doe eyes and dry sniffs the whole time. Outrageous. Not sure if she's burnt out on DAYS from the many years of doing it, or the heavy workload, or the 2 other jobs she has... but something's gotta give. ASAP! And I'm sorry to all the Cafe fans. I just can't get behind this pairing. Galen sucks, and Christie looks lost half the time when she's in scenes with him. Their dialogue is always so corny. There's NO chemistry. It's just boringness. Absolutely 100% paint-drying-on-walls boring. Am I the only one who feels this way??! I mean.... crickets-in-the-background boring. Really really bad. I agree with DrewH. The kiss should've been shorter. |

I saw lots of Sami tears. Are you watching in HD, cause they were there. I do agree with Lysie though about Sami's self awareness and that she should have had some. Part of me thinks that Sami kept denying the truth not because she was straight up lying, but that she was mentally hoping that it never really happened. That she could just wish it away. |

She had tears at the beginning but they never really fall down her face. They're always right at her eyes. |

No, there is definitely one that rolls down her face and she wipes it away. I swear it. I was watching CLOSELY. |

I saw her wipe her face, but I didn't see any tears where she was wiping. But still...one? He called her a whore. |

I don't think the tear was even when he was calling her that. And probably, for the most part, she feels like one. And...she probably should. |

I have to agree....not enough of a buildup to romance for CAFE, just some hormones working overtime! If the writers wanted us to accept CAFE as a real pairing down the road, they failed big time! Carrie has had the hots for Rafe since he met him, and knowing him and realizing what a loyal, good hearted man he was, just reeled in the big stupid fish. Sami treated Rafe like dirt when Johnny went missing, and now she has lied to him about her role as a corporate spy creating more fractures in their relationship....imagine when he finds out about beastsex! Oh, he is guilty as sin in his little tonsilectomy with Carrie, he is no longer the Dudley Dooright hero we once loved, but as we'll see, he does want to salvage his marriage. Sami can set aside her little sins, boxed them up and wish them away, but she leaves a wake of misery behind. They're both guilty, doesn't really matter any more the degree of guilt, both believe no intent was meant. But the damage is done. The writers choose not to have one couple in this miserable soap to be faithful to each other....no matter which pairing is your favorite, they're all damaged goods! |

Awesome eppi :) Could have done without the election stuff though. And that moderator, wth?!?! Why do ppl insist on getting so much work done. She looked like a caricature. Rafe/Carrie kiss was a bit awkward, but I can't wait for Sami to kick Rafe to the curb. I like Safe and Rafe, but come on, we need some drama. And Ej lecturing on morality is rich. When the dead-baby-sex comes on he's gonna burn like a Kleenex. And ot, but I'm so annoyed I have to say it. I hate auto correct! Every time I talk abt Safe I get Sam I and Rate! Blah. |

I loved yesterday's episode! The only time I hit FF was during a few Cafe scenes because my hubby was rolling his eyes. :P It was too much for him to take. ha! ha! Loved the powerful Sami and Will scenes. Chandler Massey is an amazing young actor! Loved the look of "oh crap" on EJ's face when he was caught off guard by the wrong questions. :D I have a feeling Abe and perfect little J are going to pay for this big time which I can't wait to see. I hate that Abe is lying to Lexie about it all (heck if he'd told her she probably would have come up with a lot more devious and better ways to cheat - at least old Lexie would have). On the one hand it's nice that they have some conflict and some new drama, but on the other hand why does drama/conflict for couples on this show almost always have to mean between each other? Why can't they tackle a conflict together? But anyway, overall it was an amazing show and I wish every day could be like yesterday's show. |

I liked this episode. Ejole were cool. I liked seeing Lexie outta the loop. Hopefully she'll go all Dimera on Abe for lying Will stuff was great. I was watching it and my mum was like. "Did that boy just push his mother?!" Yep, she deserved it. Says I. (I got the look that tells me i'm on dangerous territory) "Well I don't know about that." I explain how things are. "It's understandable then." Cafe kiss ramifications should be interesting next week. |

I don't remember disliking DAYS this much in a very long time. - This Carrie and Rafe situation, I absolutely hate. GG is a poor excuse for an actor. He's awful. I hate that they're pushing Carrie to be unfaithful...AGAIN. Especially with that moron that no girl or guy in their right mind would fall for because he's a misogynist idiot. - This Stefano/Hope/Bo shit is also so stupid. Those scenes were so boring. They didn't have any oomp. No substance, which is surprising considering these three are three of the best actors they have. Maybe it was the dialogue. The scenes this week just seemed so shallow. No depth at all. Joe and Kristian are usually good at adding some flair to boring scenes, but they haven't been lately. - Abe/Lexie - the most uninteresting characters the show has, IMO, but then having Abe and Jen do this underhanded thing to beat EJ is weird. They mayoral race storyline to me has been very strange. - Chad/Gabi - I won't even comment because I think it's pretty self-explanatory. - Abby/Austin - so gross. As I said in the Spoiler thread, it literally makes me sick. It is so disgusting, considering how close he was to her when she was a newborn. It should be noted I am not uptight about sex at all. In fact, I am the opposite. But seeing these two flirt and go at it is :puke: - John/Marlena - living life on a budget? LOL. Oh dear. - Brady/Madison - oh, nevermind. THESE two are the most uninteresting characters. What is with these writers and infidelity? Sami? EJ? Rafe? Carre? Austin? Chad? And now maybe John and Hope? (I'm sure.) This is crap. Horniness of Our Lives. The only thing this show has going for it is Will tapping into his dark side. I am so disappointed with the new regime at DAYS. Edited by King, Feb 4 2012, 12:32 PM.

This was a really good episode! Every scene allowed for forward story movement and it's starting to actually feel like there are some stakes. Before I forget, (1) I saw tears on Ali's face and (2) how hilarious was it that wardrobe dressed her in a micromini that ends 2" past her butt for the big day that Will calls his mommy a whore? Carrie/Rafe: Probably not a good sign that I felt sorrier for day player Mrs. Carlisle than for any of the other cheated-upons in this show, but I thought she was good. Granted, I thought she was leaping to conclusions based on very little evidence, and it won't be fun explaining to her husband that she hired a detective and preemptively a lawyer for their divorce under those circumstances, but whatever. I'm glad they called back to Austin being on the other side re: John because that was a fairly legitimate source of conflict troubling their marriage at the time. EJ/Nicole/Abe/Lexie/Jen: Pretty good, through and through. EJ finally couldn't avoid lying, but I can hardly blame him for not wanting to mention something so gross. Lexie usually bugs the fuck out of me, but for some reason her bouncy, Stepford wife-ian relentlessly cheery support of Honest Abe is killing me, in a good way. Don't worry, EJ, if poor debate performances mattered W never would have been elected twice (or maybe once). Also, for some reason I was put in mind of the time Ron Paul came unglued at some debate when another candidate mentioned needing to consult with lawyers before declaring war or something. Good times. As I keep saying, I don't understand why not knowing the EXACT questions is a big deal when the topics are going to be the same. Jennifer for once was tolerable when she and Abe were preparing in the sacred Horton living room. Sami/Will: Mostly well-done. This kind of shit is right in Ali's wheelhouse: Sami the pathetic loser who screwed up and is wrong and doesn't know how to fix it--that's Ali's bread and butter. Sami the golden heroine and romantic leading lady, no, she fails, but Sami who messed everything up and desperately wants to be forgiven, that she can modestly deliver. The problem is I've seen Monday's show too, and I know that Sami scoffs angrily (and understandably) when Cafe give her the "it's not what it looks like" excuse. BUT that was EXACTLY where she went with Will--the first excuse she tried was that he didn't understand, it wasn't what it seemed. Will already knew that. ("Disgusting" and "filthy," so true, Will, and also unhot and cheap.) Will's not accusing her of having an actual romantic affair with EJ. He doesn't suspect her of repeating this. His point is that she's so fucking selfish that everyone was out looking for her child and she was thinking of herself, first, foremost and always. She doesn't care and will never care if her family is destroyed because she always puts her own feelings first. Which we will see displayed on Monday. Some really good dialogue there, particularly when Will pointed out that for much of his life she was busy chasing a man who didn't love her, and I don't think he even meant Austin specifically, he meant she was always delusional. I liked Will meeting up with Sonny's friends at the end. He's getting there. All in all, I really can't complain. |

Boring....yeah. And this kiss in particular was done all wrong. Galen just can't act, nor can he at least bring the heat on this show. I think of all the ways that scene could have, should have played--and none of that happened. Edited by Cupcake06, Feb 4 2012, 01:29 PM.

That's not an unusual conversation for people who have affairs. I think it's more about making themselves feel better and justifying their relationship. Both Rafe and Carrie are trying to find excuses IMO. Rafe doesn't know that Sami cheated, and Austin kept trying to spend time with his wife to no avail. Like you said, clearly the problem aren't their spouses. |
